I heard something interesting about suzuki today, when u go buy a bike u can sign up or sumthing were u can be Joe shcmoe and if u enter a factory race and place u will get back from suzuki like a sponsorship, i dont kno all the details but it sounded pretty cool, thought id throw that out yea i think im gonna stay with Yamaha and Honda try to get them back on top of the game again. With Kawasaki yea i see all there stuff at races but i think its just a Glamour thing trying to sell there product which all they have is decent dirtbikes and street, there quads suck..
  4. yea im actually on the K&t page right now ive talked to them in person cool guys, im thinking he should send the top end out and get the crank from the same shop, is there any case work involved? other than that we were gonna throw it together

  6. yea its gonna be stupid fast lol but sooo bad ass i think hell be able to handle it hes a bigger guy stretch the ass end a little, me on my 4mil and him on a stroked 500 cruisin the dunes Will it still act like my 4mil in the cub? i think it will have a broader powerband

  8. I kno its gonna be so bad ass ive never heard of anyone doing it, head turner for sure. I was tellin him to do it with a 4mil, keep it with the stock look mill the head some timing advance woo! What kind of compression were u getting out of urs?
  9. so yea me and my buddy joel have been talking and ive convinced him to put a stroker crank in his 500 :cool: have any of ya seen this done? I explained it to him and i think i got it down
  10. u can go to checker or napa and pick up a leakdown tester pretty cheap.. good investment
  11. hold them up to a light if u can see through the petal ends they need to be replaced
  12. Blowit u have detonation mixed up with pre-ignition. shee racer u need to get this figured out before u rebuild, does the dome look all pitted up? is there alot of carbon in ur motor? burnt gasket edges? if not u really need to check ur timing
  13. detonation is not caused by a lean mixture its caused by unburnt trapped end gases on the piston crown combusting, usually on exhuast side becuase its the hottest side u had to have another problem in ur motor what did u see with the data on the pulses an increase?
  14. shift shaft mod with easy spring would be butter with that star mod
  15. i dont see how u can get them out of adjustment, i believe its the arm and roller type?
  16. na man, its pre-ignition they are very different, in detonation damage is on the side of the piston usually the exhuast side, u should be able to ride wot for a good period of time.
  17. it could be a shift star shift detent problem, which helps the bike go into and stay in gear- but don`t look past ur clutch which could end up causing more damage over time have u noticed any clutch drag?
  18. yea i got that backwards wooops, it could be a 9 for the high compression also yes ^^ check compression have u played with jetting?
  19. could be timing-maybe try a different heat range of plugs
  20. Perfect example of pre-ignition which is untimed auto igntion, caused by hot spots in the cylinder could be carbon buildup-pitted dome-gasket edge-over advanced timing even. Something is getting red hot in the combustion chamber and igniting the intake charge
  21. check ur clutch its probly the steel plates when they warp the bike is difficult to shift have a manual handy usually the friction plates need to be in a order
  22. i have a 6 on mine i like it, probbly would`nt want any longer limits u to only so much of a style of riding
  23. i would'nt recommend using a impact on ur flywheel it can throw ur crank out of true
