  1. i went about 4 yrs ago, like you said its kinda small... the badlands is about 700 acres of an old strip pit quarry... its not all sand. it has wooded trails also there. some of the area is sectioned off for jeeps and such... but still 700 acres of riding is pretty cool.. they do have a website.. just do a search on attica indiana badlands.... where do you do most of your riding? :beer:

  4. hollister aint bullshittin I havent done the back end yet... I am about 190 lbs with the front end I have a +4 axle stock swinger and backed off the spring tension on rear shock to equal out the ride in front..... welcome to a new addiction :beer:
  5. working at amachine shop, i had same problem had to use 5ton arbor press with a 5 ft throat to get it all seperated................ i wish you the best of luck maybe a good redneck might be able to rig a come along not sure though :beer:
  6. i also have +2+1's with elkas. the diff is night and day!!! i went long travel also........ with new bearings, ext brake lines, brake line clamps, i bout shit when i added it up! laegers not cheap,elkas not cheap,but rides like a totally diff shee. when it was all said and done i think it was worth it :beer:
  7. mine did the same thing when i first bought it. the a -arms were kinda tweaked along with tie rods and ends. there was nothing wrong with the steering stem stop. center your bars do some measuring and check for the toe in of the tires... when centered does that side toe in more or less than the other????????? :beer:

  10. i tried to find aftermarket stud with no luck!!!! i bought a new stock assy. i also bought tm desigworks kicker arm..... supposed to use factry stud but diffrent internals to prevent the death rattle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so far so good :beer:

    +1 from the centerline of frame balance point to the front hub center line =longer wheel base.... ie 1 inch closer to frontend of frame

    nope, your shocks and tire diameter effect lowering/raising.......... there are different a-arms that can have different ground clearence. +2 is width out from centerline................(wider) +1 is set forward of hub centerline from stock.............(closer to frontend of frame) hope that clears it up!!!!!!!!!!!! :beer:
  13. if you follow those 4 down to a plug you will see two on the otherside of the plug. those would be the ones.............. :beer:
  14. between this post and your other one ........................................... there is a hose back there as others have said GO LOOK........ down by the base of the jugs from the head to the case if you dont it aint a bashee everyone else on this site has one in that spot if you dont maybe that is your leak(stream). happy hunting and a phone call wont make you see the LIGHT..................
  15. if you take off your seat and look down between carbs at an angle there is a drain hole that goes thru upper and lower case half you have a hose that runs back down in real close to the back of cylinders. you probably will find your leak there :beer:
  16. how bout 900cc stock cyl shee............ my buddy sold to me and he said it was 900cc it only cost about 2500 dollars of all the upgades. 5000 grand total with pipes and all.... really i dont care what yamaha or any builders say!!!!!!!! it goes fast too..   17. just outta curiousity what diameter rear tire.... you outta be able to hit it in 2nd stay in it and hit third and stay in the powerband..... you are kinda low on compression but i aint saying thats it. plugs dont sound bad. no idle problems? no dead spots? no stummbling at h-rpms? stock thumb throttle? if it is- not the stop screw is it? just trying to help :beer:
  18. you really need to look at your compression................ if you dont have good rings and cyl walls you maybe loosing your power thru loss of intake and blow by!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  20. next state west of you and love holeshot xcr's. 6 ply good s... ! i have ridden in corn fields and have had no problem with popping them riding right after harvest before they disk the remaining stalk back under. have ridden down by dale hollow lake in tennesse (pall mall) name of town. the mountains out there have bitchin trail systems and no rangers a little to extreme for a shee sometimes!!!!!!!!!!! one of the reasons my motor is at fast. lot of rocks no problem out of the xcrs........... :beer:
  21. its a 97 have you had it bored, new pistons, rings, what is your compression like???????? if its that old and no work done on motor my guess is its telling you that it needs some attention
  22. sounds like you need to take side case cover off and see why your kicker gear is not catching when you move it should be pretty easy to see what is f----ed up. clymers manuals the bible for shee repair get one and you will be able to figure out most of the mechanical stuff.......... :wink:

  24. jeff at fast has told me i can run 93 pump gas with 20 cc domes at 720 elevation. i dont have the motor back yet to tell you compression but i thought it might help :beer:
