  1. Thanks for the info. Gears
  2. By either bike? Thanks
  3. Thats in Baton Rouge, correct?
  4. Thanks for all the replies guys, I think it would be so cool to ride around town, don't you think? I could see the differential being a problem. But I think there would be some states that didn't catch on to that in there rules. It would be neat to cruise around on a 350X or 700 Raptor. My Banshee actually rides excellent on the street, like it was made to do so. I would think it would be hard to get insurance also. How would you find out the laws / rules about this? What do you think? Gears
  5. Thanks for the reply, I have seen a picture of street legal 1986 Yamaha Tri-Z 250 but I believe it was from Europe. The bike was converted for the street by its owner. To me if you had street tires, turn signals and a plate I really don't see why you couldn't do this. I 'm refering to off highway use of course. Just as an example, say you took a Raptor and performed this conversion. I would think that would be fine around town. Gears
  6. Is there any dirt drag racing or flat track quad racing going on in Southern Mississippi or Southern LA? I have seen this in years, help me out please... Thanks, Gears
  7. This may be a strange question, but does anyone know if certain states allow 3 or 4 wheelers to be street legal? This is assuming they would have all the proper lighting of course. I'm curious
  8. How does a stock Banshee compare to a stock YFZ 450 or a Raptor in a drag race? Which is the fastest? If the Banshee is slower, how many lengths does it get beat by? Thanks for the info, Gears
  9. Thanks for the PM. This bike is amazing
  10. I think your bumper looks great. Unlike a lot of people here, I'm on a budget too. You have a nice looking Shee. Do you have any side shots? Gears
  11. No problem dude, I glad you replied to my question! Like I said earlier I did it the same way you described with the exception of having my bike on the ground. I came up with this after searching about 4 different ATV sites. Everyone's method was different. You have a mean looking Shee. Do you have any more pics??? Thanks again, Gears
  12. I got my YFZ450 shocks mounted. Very nice write up here. I also used "Gimmeabeer's" advice about removing the springs. That made taking them off and on very easy while test fitting everything. I also used a large phillips screw driver to slip into the lower shock mount to hold the shock in while checking the clearances. For modifying the mounts I used an air powered cutoff wheel and it made the cutting and clearencing a cinch. Everyone's comments about these shocks are right. They raise the front end up (which I wanted), they are stiffer (which I can live with), they aren't that hard to install (if you have the tools) and I'll add my own: they are a lot lighter in weight than the stock shocks. I got mine for $210 shipped. This was a deal to me for aluminum adustable shocks with resi's. Good Luck with yours, Gears
  13. Ya that makes sense, except the part of doing it with the front end up on jack stands. I checked the alignment like you said but, with the front end on the ground with the suspension preloaded. My bike was slightly toed in, about a 1/4" which maybe too much toe but I figure it wasn't enough to mess with it at the time. What do you think? Gears
  14. Nobody has any input?
  15. I'm working on the front suspension this morning to install YFZ450 shocks. Since I will have it all apart, I was wondering how do you guys align the front end? My alignment maybe a little off to start with so I may try to fix it now. How do you set the toe? Is there anyway to adjust the camber? Gears
