  1. H2 your dream car? Dream bigger man, an H2 is attainable. My dream car, the Ferrari FXX. Only 20 made, not for road use. Basically its a super enzo. http://www.autoweek.com/news.cms?newsId=102590 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=4594663055 Now THATs a dream car.
  2. I think the turbo busa motor might have a little to do with the speed too.
  3. Ok sorry to tell you, but you spent entirely too much money (and time) on that thing So hows it run? got any times?
  4. Yes if you're going to buy a manual get clymers. Yamahas manual is good for torque specs, and thats it.
  5. I believe the vitos pistons cut the deck of the piston on the exhaust side, which basically is like raising the exhaust port.
  6. Those have got to be the goofiest looking a-arms Ive ever seen . If King does have a line of shocks for quads, I would seriously consider them. Depends on the price though.
  7. Before I vote, what other colors are on your quad? (plastics...)
  8. Wouldn't doubt it. Surprisingly though, its one of the few things that the local motorcycle store has thats not overpriced. I do have some Meguiars Gold class though, I'll try that tomorrow see if it works any better. Now I didn't even use a wheel, I just did it by hand, but they were light scratches. Heres a link to their site, I use No 2: http://www.noscratch.com/novus/
  9. Hell yeah, lets get some +10 a-arms on that thing.
  10. I think he's talking about King that makes the bigger shocks for the buggies and trucks. I didn't know they made anything for quads though.
  11. Ok, well I was cleaning the shee last night, and I use the Novus plastic polish on it every once in a while (kind of like wax for your plastics). And I was just letting my thoughts wander while I was cleaning when I suddenly thought, why should I spend 30 bucks on those disk doctor things, when I have a plastic polish right here. CDs are plastic, so why wouldn't it work? I took a few out there today, and damn if it didn't fix them all. All it took was a cotton rag, about 3 minutes per cd, and they play like new.
  12. First it would have to have direct fuel injection, that way it would pass emissions everywhere, and those poor people out in CA can use them again. Second, new port layouts, something a little more high tech so there isn't a need for aftermarket cylinders. Powervalves of course. Then it would need new suspension. Rearrange the geometry so people will stop complaining that it can't handle. Good fully adjustable and rebuildable shocks all the way around. An air filter system that works. A non plastic waterpump impeller. I think that would do it. And definately NOT in pink (sorry, but no). Edit: And definately NO reverse or electric start. You want those, go get a 4 poke. Real men don't need reverse, and aren't afraid to kick over a little 2 stroke.
  13. They do exist!!! Are they water tight? As in could I fill them with grease and never worry about them again?
  14. Always worked for me. Penetrating oil and heat, and you shouldn't have any problems.
  15. More top end then?
  16. Find me plane tickets in the 10 dollar range, and free shipping for my quad, and I'll be there.
  17. Raise the rear preload, and lower the front. Kind of obvious why, but some people don't think about it.
  18. Im pretty sure the Wiseco is in the same place as stock, but now that I think about it, I can't remember when in the stroke the window is matched up with the intake. With the window placed higher up in the piston, it would be fully uncovered lower in the stroke (possibly only at the bottom). I would think that wouldn't be as good. With the window lower, the piston has started traveling upword, and begun to pull negative pressure in the crank when the windows are fully uncovered. All speculation though. The more I think about it, I think one would be more friendly towards high rpm, but not really sure without seeing them in the cylinder.
  19. Yep, I think you're right. I saw on another forum a guy that worked at fox was talking about them, and I thought he said they were coming soon. When I looked back, this is what he said "Rear shox are more difficult because of the heat. As the shox get hotter the air presure increases. This would affect the sag, spring rate and how well the shox works. For now we have the Podium X which is a remote resi dual rate spring shock." I guess I read it too fast, but it does seem like they aren't dismissing the idea of a rear air shock.
  20. I remember hearing about that one. They say he was actually moving faster than the plane they used to clock him.
  21. The heim jointed a-arms are exposed unlubricated joints. I've heard there are boots for heims, but haven't seen any, or talked to anyone that actually used them. Ball joints have boots, they are sealed, and lubricated. Its pretty much common sense to me. Yes I know I over simplified it, and Im sure someone is going to correct me. But I ride where its constantly muddy (clay pits). I've seen where the mud can get. I've seen people here with heims on their arms that had so much play it was ridiculous. Sure they might not have been the best quality joints (I know one guy had lonestars), but the people that had them were pissed at the heims. The Laeger ball jointed arms are the ones to get. Laegers uses them, the Alba pro-comp arms use them, and I believe the new I-shock arms use them (they look exactly the same).
  22. If you get a set of fat bars, you can get the adapters that just bolt on to your existing clamps, and put you 3/4" higher. That with a high bend handlebar should be plenty.
  23. I think they're the same plug, just the second one used the flash. From looking at the first pic, I would say its fine, although maybe a little on the lean side. Hard to tell from a pic exactly whats going on.
  24. A longer swingarm will put more of the weight of the machine on the front tires. So yes, you will have less traction. Dragracing in the dunes with paddles, traction is a given. Same with drag racing on asphalt. They have so much power, they need a longer swingarm so they won't wheelie when they try and put the power to the ground. And when you go for a longer swingarm, and push the weight balance forward, you screw up the handling of the quad. Its long been accepted that for MX racing you want a shorter swingarm (same with XC).
  25. They are working on an air shock for the rear, but its not ready yet. For now you can only get the air fronts. They do have a regular oil rear shock though.
