Cat cleaner? Hmm, worked at a dyno shop huh?
-
I have run them on 3 differnent ut quads and I will continue to buy them. Cheap, light, and I have yet to see a tire outpreform them.... in mud.
-
Damn, are you guys losing your steam? I was trying to give you another opportunity to criticise. Hmmm, with that in mind, do either of you know exactly what your arguing with me about? Please detail exaclty what you disagree with me about. Or maybe you just don't like me... If you don't mind, why? Or just post why you don't have time to tell me why you disagree/dislike me.
-
Bro, I had to take a second to comment on this... At least night, or last night, either one does not really make sense.. How exactly are you insulting me here? Please clear this up at your earliest convenience.
-
Ok, banshe- man good. Well thought out, will executed. The rest of you, comon. Youc cant' ride banshe - man the rest of your life. THINK about it. I have given you a TON of ammo. Well, the guy who talked about my post being long.. well, although it was pretty obvious, you picked up on it right away. It kind of hurt a little cause I didn't notice it untill you posted. You def took a litttle piece of my pride away. Nice... But now is the time to get serious, Lets take out all the stops and really stick it to me.............
-
Wow, comon guys, seriously, you cannot possibly tell me that

Takes a big man to admit when they're wrong, so...I agree. I'm truly sorry as well, for I have been wrong too. I think we're just two people that believe in how we've been brought up and how we do things day to day. I've been a smart ass to you as well, and it's not right....period. So, let's let the past be the past....move forward...and try to help eachother out. I don't practice religion, I was raised Christian for 18 years...but, I will never knock another's faith or beliefs in substitue of my own.... White flag is raised....I will do my best to try and be a better person in my posts regarding your info, and look forward to your input in mine! Let us both put the rivalry behind us....and do what's right for the board and a sport we both truly enjoy! Dave Just in case anyone wanted to see big tough Daves response to my peacemaking mission... But of course HE has NEVER been a smartass prick.

You mean catalytic conveter... You know what, nevermind.

Stlll waiting... Nope, no NYUK at my house. Alot of big talk. Not alot of action. Maybe I do have some kind of issues. But you can never say that I don't put up. And I PM'ed you about the pipes about five times, you called me a lets see how did you put it "I don't have time for clowns". And there were at least 3 other people in the thread that said you did the same F'ing thing. Because, your a dick. And from what I have seen someone who talks a good game "I'm 215 blah blah blah. I post my home addy, N O T H I N G. And I cancelled the check and THAT is the only reason why you did not cash it. Cat this and Cat that. Woah, you got your street lingo down. Lets see you put down. All bs aside. Put up or shut up.
-
Ok. Whats your address? You don't mind towing my powerwagon do you? It's going to be pretty much tapped out once I get there. If I'm lucky enough to get there.
-
Little fella wants to race huh? Is that how you solve your problems on the playground? Your REAL scary. But I forgive you. Do what you must to me. To qoute Al Bundy "you may be hot shit up in Detroit, but in my world your about as troublesome as a cloudy day"
-
Yeah, I need a dictionary. Sorry I read at a higher level than you. I always see so much bs posted about all these ambiguous skills people claim to have...Never any proof, it's always left up to the imagination. It's just not worth it. Case in point, I reference the cat post mentioned earlier. I gave the EXACT location of my home, come on by. I posted ONE condescending remark to the ten million you post. And you cry like a little girl. Whhhhaaaaaaaa. You can dish it out but you can't take it. I tried to be cool to you, and you continued to post little comments in every thread I was in. You and your little crew of panderers can post anything you want, but in your hearts you know what the truth is. Your little internet bitches. Prove otherwise. You can't stand me because YOU know I have your little number. Once again, exact address, come shut me up.
-
Of course YOU got more power out of it than the guy you sold it to. You saved the day again. I wrote about how a car was tuned at this shop to illustrate how the tuning process works there. I feel its relevant.
-
Puts some drygas in it (you don't need much). You have water in your fuel. Drain your fuel bowls. Gasoline freezes at 97 degrees below 0. Your not getting anywhere close to that. Put some drygas into your gas can too, that's where the moisture is most likely coming from.
-
Ummm...ok...yeah, so.... What exactly do you get out of demeaning people all the time? I did not get to dyno last weekend because we got a bunch of snow. Hopefully it will happen this weekend. I'll keep you posted, I'll post up the results with the a/f ratios ect.... I'm sure nothing would make you happier than to have my bike blow up on the dyno so I'll try to tune it on the edge.

It's a dynojet. A little background. The guy who originally built this shop John Sealock builit it to tune fuel injected cars. He was the first guy in this area to have a full stand alone data aquisition system. When I say full stand alone, it's not like these guys who use raptors or whatever to tap into the cars PCM and datalog stock sensors. This shop has all the sensor separate and a stand alone system with LabTech software to log it. You can log ANYTHING you want. A typical setup on a car would be arranged like this. 2000 mustang with vortec blower 2 wideband a/f O2 sensors in bungs that we would weld into the header collectors 1 boost sensors plumbed in right after the blower 1 exhaust temperature sensor 1 intake temperature sensor 1 Mass air meter data log sensor 1 fuel pressure sensor We would make a couple baseline pulls to see where we were with the a/f ratio and see what kind of numbers it would put up. Then the tuning would begin. Tune for a/f ratio first then for power. This would involve alot of timing changes to see what affect it would have on the a/f and power numbers. That is how you really tune an engine for safety as well as power. It's amazing how much one degree of timing can change these reading. It's was also really eye opening to see how crappy a car would be tuned coming out of another shop who is just guessing. 9 times out of 10 a car with this setup would be pegging the mass air meter and causing a ton of driveability problems. With just some MASS air transfer function changes most problems could be eliminated. Its really cool to be able to SEE where the problem is with what sensor ect. I can't wait to get a look at the A/F ratios on the banshee vs the RPM to see exactly where it's lean, or rich ect. Not to mention just seeing where a change like needle position affects the a/f ratio and where on the RPM is does so. I am excited to get a chance to really tune one. I'll bet I can get a TON of drivability improvement with some fuel mixture changes. This is where a dial a jet (if it worked good) would be really helpful. The only thing that sucks about the banshee is it's a pain to make any timing changes mechanically. I wish I had a programmable CDI, it would open the door to alot of power improvement.

Whoa dude, did you see a boost bottle in my list of mods?
-
The numbers WILL vary but not that much that is IF the humidity temp ect is static, which of course it's not. There are also alot of different kind of dynos. There is one thing that is absolutely CRITICAL when your looking at dyno results. STD vs SAE corrected. If you ever go to a dyno shop and they give you a sheet that says STD they are trying to make you feel a certain way about your results. You guess which way. Dyno owners almost ALWAYS sell parts and install them, and they want their parts to produce results, there are a million ways you can manipulate a dyno if you know what your doing. If there is one dyno in town that puts up the biggest numbers, it's almost ALWAYS the busiest one, and dyno owners know that. So keep that in mind. The shop I worked at consistantly put up the LOWEST results, because it was calibrated correctly and was not being manipulated in any way. It was also affectionatly named "the heart breaker". I have seen people literally say they wont pay for the dyno because they did not like the results. People who wanted to fight over it. John didn't care because he did not make his money dynoing cars, he made it tuning them. He died of cancer last thanksgiving. I miss that old friend. That is actually the same dyno that my bike is going on this weekend. So we will see what happens.

I'm strapping the banshee down this weeked. Everyone guess what I will make. .080 over with Wiseco's 19cc domes +4 timing Unifilter in stock box no lid LRD pipes (adjustable set for hi rev) Trail Port (no port timing changes) SRP cages with Boyseen reeds Stock carbs Got 330's in it with 30 pilots (Ill also post the a/f ratios vs RPM) If its rich I'll lean on it to around 12:1 A/F ratio What gear do you guys usually make your pulls in? If I make 47hp I'll be happy.

Exaclty where did I reply that I think it is a "bad idea" to get it done? I recited what the crank guy told me, NOT what I thought. Bro, you are famous for putting words in my mouth. But I forgive you, because I don't think you do it intentionally. If I am a self proclaimed "car guy" than you are a self proclaimed "quad guy". Either way, since we're both proclaiming things, I'm going to go ahead and proclaim that I am horribly misunderstood, but I must bring some satifaction to the people who tell me off regularly, and for that, I suppose I have a place in the world. If you think I'm doing a "poor me" routine, your right.
-
I was just reciting what I was told by the crank guy. I have not seen inside. Of course I will get the crank welded if I have access to if for some reason. I was just wondering if I should go through the trouble to split them just to do that. Apparently everyone here is too sensitive for my brand of humor. Sorry didn't mean to offend everyone with my witty retort to fireheads post. I thought he wanted to have a little fun poking at each other. I guess I was wrong. I just dont' take people screwing with me personally, so I assuem everyone else is the same way. I will try not to make fun of anyone anymore. I will play my games on another forum. Please fight the urge to post repsonses to this like: I have a sense of humor blah blah, and it's cool if you want to screw around blah blah (heres the part I hate) .....BUT... Insert any version of an explaination of why you overreacted and a definition of how it was MY fault. Also please refrian from posting examples of how I contradict myself ect. I well aware of the fact that I'm a hypocrite. Once again, sorry to offend.

Working pretty hard to make that little funny aren't you? You know comedy isn't for everyone. Don't feel like you HAVE to be funny. Cause, just between you and me, your not really pulling it off. Hey, don't be down on yourself, don't you beat yourself up!!! The problem isn't you, your just not being challenged. OK, so your not the greatest comedian. So what, there are a million other things you can be good at. You have to keep your chin up and keep searching. Maybe cob nobbling is your calling. I mean, you have to play on your strengths. Lets list them: Easily amused difficulty typing complete sentances unhealthy preoccupation with men Lets take your "weakness" of always turing everything into a gay reference, and turn it into a "strength". With the cob nobbling you will have the opportunity every day to be completely immersed in the gay lifestyle, and most guys will let you call them Brian!!! You will fufull all three of your natural "strengths" while making a good living!!!! Imagine finally loving your job!!! Thats what you have to do, find something you love, and do it for a living. Still have reservations? Don't sell yourself short, you got what it takes to do anything you want. Bro, the way you read through a post, found the weakness, and immedatly pounced on it. THAT is a talent in itself. You have a real gift for finding peoples weaknesses. Like you saw where I misspelled "brian" as "brain", you immedatly picked it out of tons of other complecated words, isolated it, and clearly showed all the readers that I misspelled a word. Brilliant. I mean thats such fresh and origanal thinking. You my friend are a trend setter.

So, project 250r is coming along. Got the frame completly stripped of paint and after a little sand blasting it will be going to the painter. So it's time to start to tackle the engine/trans. I have a solid set of cases with just the typical damage from chain failure. I'll tig that closed. Two trans with no damage so I will be taking the best of both engines. I'm not replacing the case bearings cause they feel just fine. Mains are being replaced. All seals ect. Jug has to be sleeved. I ported it. I have one crank that is rusted so unusable, the other needs a new flywheel stud, so I'm going to instal that via my handy dandy metal lathe. So heres where the questions start. Since the crank is going to involve money to rebuild if there is any other options for stroke I want to explore them. I wish you could just slap a 500cc quadzilla jug on this engine!!!! Is there anything I can do to give this bike some more power? It's going to be stock bore due to the sleeve so cc via boring are a waste. I can't find a stroker kit for it 1985 bike (case reeds) Is there ANYTHING that can be done via different year cranks ect to get some juice? I picked up a 38mm carb for it. What else? I'm planning on running 19cc head so I'm already committed to race fuel. I guess I could run even more compression but I want it to be a reliable trail bike that wont overheat or break down in 80 degree weather. I don't want to run alcohol just cause of the cost of fuel. Keep in mind the goal is a good reliable trail MX bike. But just the same I don't want it to be the slug everyone keeps telling me it will be.
