  1. I bought a set and just put them on yesterday. You really can't beat that price when it comes with Boyseen reeds too. I have not gotten the jetting right yet but they deff picked up some power. I have not ridden it hard yet though to give a real review. I was running ported stock cages with stock reeds and the SRP's def are making more power. There are two rubber flanges on each of the intake boots that go into the stock cages that I had to remove to make the SRP's work because of the two deflector blades in the cages. I don't know if aftermarket intake boots don't need to be modified or not. I'll post more on these when I have had a chance to ride it some more. It's picking the front tire off the ground in third now even when your really trying to keep them on them down. It never did that before. Like I said I stll have not gotten a chance to really do a plug chop since I put on my pipes and I just added the cages to the mix I'm sure there is still power there. I did have to drop the needle a notch with the cages to fix some rich breakup in the midrange. I have never ridden a bike with V force's to compare it to either. I think they are just as good if not better just by how they are designed. Really smooth power delivery all through the entire RPM range. I expect great things when the bike is tuned.
  2. What are your suggestiong for starting points. I have 310's and 27.5 pilots in right now and it's running good, I have not done a plug chop yet. You think I should go up on the mains before I bother wasting new plugs? Elevation is 189'. Going to Hatfield Mccoy Memorial day its at 1200 feet. 3. Grrrrr. I would like to view this information does anyone have a good link anymore? Thanks.
  4. Wow, huge difference. Well we're going to work on both his and mine tomorrow and do plug chops. We will see where we end up. I just wonder if float setting variances have much effect on fuel mixture. thanks for the input though guys.
  5. Oh, BTW FMF says to use a .30 pilot with these pipes, anyone doing this?
  6. Hmm, I just wonder sometimes how you guys run such rich mains with this setup. My neighbor has: 2004 Banshee +4 timing K&N Filter kit Fatties W/ Powercore II silencers He has 270 Mains in it now we tried to put in 300's and I could not even get the bike to stay running no matter what I did with the pilots. He has the Dynotune needles. We have not had time to do the plug chop yet, I think we will end up with 280's in it. I just see people posting running 300+ mains with these mods and I can't see how that can be. We are at 187 ' elevation. Every bike is different but it seems like a big difference to me.
  7. PM me with info thanks
  8. All I can say is wow, I finally took you guys advice and put a set of 240 mains in my bike tonight. All I have done is a set of FMF silencers and I took the airbox lid off. Wow, I did not realize how much power I was missing, the lid really chokes these things off. At first it ran like crap because I had the pin set a notch lean, I though it was too rich at first so I put it another notch lean, crap again so I went two notches rich (stock setting) and bam the bike came alive. Piolot screws are two turns out, I think I'm going to try them at 1 1/2 turns tomorrow and see how it like it. Anyway, thanks guys.
  9. Whatever dude, I gained 17 dyno proven horsepower from a flame grill. oh and a small bottle of nitromethane in the gas.
  10. PM me with pipes for sale
  11. I ride my banshee all day on trails, it's takes some time to get used to, but there are tricks to riding trials with a dune bike. I can pass anyone on a hill climb. The pain in the ass is tight cornering, with that solid axle it can be a pain. I just put some extra air in the back tires so I can break them loose easier.
  12. I have been screwing around quite a bit with this thing cause when I bought it, (brand new 05 bike) It really ran pretty much like crap... Tons of midrange break up. After talking with the service guy at the dealer he advised me to put the needle clips on the 2nd groove and it cleared it up alot.. Being a tinkerer I have kept fooling with it and I have it running really good now.. My current settings are this: 200 main 2nd clip on needles pilot about 1 1/4 turns out. This is with the bike in dead stock trim with the air box top off. I live in Stafford Va and ride at Buds Creek Md track. I have looked on the internet to find the elevation but I would assume it is under 500 feet above sea level since it's so close to the potomac river. My question is, am I running lean? The plugs look okay but from reading you guys posts people are reccomending alot larger main jets even with just the box top off. I tried making the bike richer but it just runs so horrible in the midrange. I hate to be just tuning off feel but isn't feel a pretty good indicator? I don't run too much in WOT so midrange drivability is my major concern ( I ride alot of trails) I just ordered a set of FmF silencer (not the whole exhaust) do I really need to make any changes with just that mod? Should I put in a 240 main and try to lean on the bike in the midrange to get my driviability? Thanks for any help guys. stu
