  1. you are right. wont see me say that often. lol now would be a good time to at least put a better adjuster w/pancake bearing, and modded shift shaft w/ easy spring.
  2. it has held up to a good season and a half worth of abuse and when i tore it down to look at it still looked new. no signs of fatigue or grooves from the clutch fibers like you would normally see on the stock basket. at 150$ i highly recommend getting a magnum basket. comes with new cushions too.
  3. like i said go to lowes and get some 1" square tubing. lol to get the front a-arms level make the front struts 12" eye to eye. that is drill (2) holes in the tubing @ 12" apart. as for the rear strut you may want something adjustable so you can play with the angle on your swingarm to adjust how hard your bike will hook on the track. works great, cheap and easy to change out.
  4. yes, that looks like the snap ring and washer off the kicker gear. you will need to pull the clutch to get to it.

    tires

those look like they would be good on asphalt.
  6. im sorrry, you just need a new lockwasher. i have a few more questions. your first post in this thread states you were out jetting the bike and running it up the road and you somehow noticed that the little tab was sheared off? how did you know to tear into your engine to know that it had sheared off in the first place? as to why it sheared, could it be that you didnt tighten the clutch basket nut down tight enough allowing it to move upon the transmission primary shaft? anyway, i got a magnum clutch basket from here.... click here
  7. i had a set of fast trekkers that were out of balance. turned out the bead wouldnt set right on one of them.
  8. not tring to be a smart allec but could you please be a little more specific or take a picture of what you are talking about? you snapped an ear that goes into the basket, on the clutch locknut washer? my first guess would be to replace that clutch basket if ANY damage was done to it.
  9. carry on then.
  10. probably one of the easiest things you could do is make yourself a set of struts. head out to lowes and pick up a couple of pieces of 1" square tubing. works great.
  11. question, are you running enough compression and advanced timing to warrent the need for a higher octane fuel?
  12. loose the airbox completely and get some air filters that attach directly to the carbs.
  13. thankyou for this info!
  14. i am just above jackson. it's looking real iffy if we'll be down there labor day and id much rather just hand the intakes to you rather than ship them. pm me your address and i'll see about mailing them to you.
  15. Its looking really iffy now as to wether or not i will be able to get out there. where abouts are you located? I have a set of stock intakes cut for vforce reeds you can have if you dont find a set.
  16. whoah....carbon fiber? that would greatly help on weight savings. i cant get mine running right for some reason. its either off to the jr. fusion cheaper unit with the gold plated eithernet firedog support or im going back to my lectrons.
  17. 1. i dont condone riding while intoxicated, especially in a public riding spot. 2. i dont condone spilling beer no matter the situation. that is waistfull. 3. i would have used kool-aide and everyone would have been fully clothed. :teehee: :teehee: :teehee: :teehee: :teehee:
  18. sounds to me like you either have a leaky intake gasket or the springs inside your carbs are in a bind. list all the mods done to your bike.
  19. now hold on a minute. the wiring harness on it doesnt have another plug in for another power source. i may not have all of the necessary hardware for this thing. i have the other exhaust ratio sensors hooked straight into the exhaust ports on the cylinders themselves. im gonna head out to lowes and see if i can find the other hardware.
  20. where are you getting all your info? I didnt get instructions with mine. I was just thinking, the battery may be my problem. Mine came with a 9.6v r/c model battery. From my experience, they dont last more than 15 min. on a charge. I bet that's my problem. As for purging the fuel overnight, i could have sworn up and down that i left the gutter purge open because i could smell h2s (hydrogen sulfide) around my shed. do you have the hot ratio sensors hooked up on yours? if so what do you have them set to? Thanks for the help bigboybanshee and sorry for taking this thread on such a tangent, dragbanshee98.
  21. i think i may have melted down my engine yesterday. its acting like its running out of fuel or something. there is something called a gutter purger on the left side? is that what you adjust to get more energy/ juice flowing out of the shredder into the main unit? and when i first cranked the unit up, you know how the green light blinks and stays on, just like a powercommander unit? well now is red and it blinks. was yours this hard to dial in?
  22. oh that just sends me into a dimension of defensive, offensive, dilusionary, compulsive illusionmentary, convulsive, spastic, sensual being that i have never been in before.
  23. is there some kind of break-in prodcedure for this thing? there appears to be some kind of a purge valve on the side of the unit. it has a timer on it to where you can set it to automatically purge. actually it isnt the unit itself hitting the frame, its the solenoid that activates the shredder unit that fits under the seat. You shimmed that piece?
  24. i am even more offended that you are offended that my not finding your offensiveness not offensive enough is making me feel a bit defensive.
