How does it benifit this country to have these people send all their money down to mexico? Who would work these low paying job? We have native born americans who can't find work, because when a job becomes avaliable 6 illegals jump on it. 3 years ago, me and several buddies worked at a factory for $9 an hour. One day they laid everyone off {we all got unemployment benifits, but WTF}. 1 month later they reopened with a mexican work force at $6.50 an hour. Rock on corperate america, rock on.

what kind of oil should I use in the lower case
midnite replied to htown01shee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I use pennzoil type f atf. $1.79 a quart. Is it ok to use 2 full quarts per oil change? -
The coil could be bad. Try switching the spark plug wires {r to l, l to r} and see if the problem switches sides {this will not hurt your motor since the coil fires both plugs at the same time on every stroke}. Sometimes the plug wire caps go bad so try new caps. You probily already did, but did you disconnect the little black tors box from the harness. It's located above the left cylinder on the frame. You could have an air leak ogre03 said. It kinda sounds electrical to me. When you get her running right get some #30 pilots, and go 1 1/2 turns out on the air screws. I have pc plats and they like alot of pilot jet.

best 2 cycle oil to use in banshee
midnite replied to htown01shee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I use golden spectro at 42:1. Good oil imo. I even run it in my husky chainsaw. -
Dude, you can simply order richer mikuni needles from a yamaha dealer for cheap. Just give them the # on your needles, and tell them you want 1 size richer needles. No need to pay $70 for 2 richer dynojet needles, and 2 sizes of main jets. I've also herd it's not wise to mix dyno jet needles and mikuni mains, or mikuni needles and dyno jet mains.
-
Those cool heads are nice and all, and if someone wants to give me one I'd use it, but for $200 for the head, and another$70 for the domes, I would rather have my stock head milled .035 for $40. If I was worried about overheating, I'd look into a big aftermarket radiator, before a cool head.

I've been using a pro flow and it's nice and all, but where I live the temps range from -10 to 100 degrees and I have to rejet 4 times a year {summer, winter, fall, spring}. It's a real pain in the ass to rejet with the proflow on. Lately I've been using k+n pods with wraps. Real simple to rejet the carbs. They are light as a feather, I can't see how one would fall or vibrate off unless the clamp wasn't tight enough, which is the fault of the installer, not the filter.

340 mains on a unported bike, possible?
midnite replied to CadillacBanshee's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Sounds like your friends set up is dead on. Might try the needles on the 3rd clip. At 1000ft or less elevation just by putting pipes on a stock shee you should be running 280's. Open, or get rid of the airbox 320,330, or 340's are close. -
Way off topic, YZ-250F starting problems
midnite replied to dawgfan's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
When a DOHC motor gets hard to start, it's a sure sign the valves need adjusted [shimmed]. You can get shimms from yamaha, and do it yourself. It's not hard to do. -
Over flow tank under the seat
midnite replied to banshee rider 01's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I've taken it off both my bikes. -
Set a dj and a mikuni main jet on a table, thread side up and look in the jet with a light and a magnifing glass. The dj jet is flat. The mikuni jet is beveled around the edge of the hole. The jet kit works fine {and is expensive as hell} if your banshee needs 270 or 340 main jets. What if your banshee needs 300, 320, or 360 main jets? dynojet vs mikuni
-
Dyno jet mains are not mikuni mains. Mikuni jets are sized by how many cc's they flow per minute [a 340 mikuni main flows 340 cc's of gas per minute]. Dyno jet mains are sized by the hole in them [340 dj main has a .340mm hole]. The mikuni main jets have the hole chamfered [spelling] on the inside, dyno jet mains are flat on the inside. A 340 mikuni main jet flows more gas than a 340 dyno jet main jet. The dj needles are richer than the stock mikuni needles, but you can get richer needles from mikuni for cheap. Personally, I see no reason to use a $70 jet kit, which only has 2 sizes of main jets in them.

I have pc's and they like a large pilot jet.. #30 or #32.5 will give you better low to low-mid power. Keep in mind while pilots are solely responsible for the idle to 1/8 throttle position, they never stop flowing, even at wot. Right now I'm at 360 mains, [it's 20 degrees here] and will soon try 370, and 380's. Forget the jet kit at $70, and get some jets from dinnis kirk, $6 for 2.

I have T-3's on my 87. They are a top end pipe. They have a very hard hit, and no botton end. The T-5 and T-3 [and t-4 for that matter] have a similar top end rush, but the t-5's have better mid and low power. Nothing wrong with the top end hp of the t-3. I like em. They have a race bike "all or nothing" feel to them.

When I got my 99 it had pc plats, mild port, and proflow, jetting was 300 mains, pilots #27.5, needle in 3rd position. When I got my 99 it had a great mid hit, but seemed flat on bottom and top. So out came the 300's, in went 320's. Flat spot on top started to disapear. Out went the 320's, in went 330's. Ran even harder on top. Out went the 330' in went the 340's. Ran wicked hard. Don't have any 350's yet, but when I get them I'm trying them. My elevation is 650ft, temp was 80 degrees, [mixed my gas at 50:1 which tricks the jets into thinking they're bigger than they are]. So I'm running at 340 mains. Why in the world are people running such small main jets? If you are under 1000ft, there's no way you should be under 300, and thats with a closed air box. Open that box up, and you should be in the 350 to 330 range. But hey, if you don't want all the power your motor has to offer it's your buisness.

Had the same problem. No power off idle [lean] with pro curcit plats. Had to rev it up just to take off at slow speeds. I went from #27.5 pilots to #30 pilots, [1 1/2 turns out on the air screws] and got power off idle. It seems the pro curcits like alot of pilot jet. Oh yeah, I know exactly what your saying about hitting the powerband and jerking the front wheels off the ground. Keep speed shifting, and you'll jerk 'em in every gear. My pro curcits have the same strong hit as my toomeys, they just hit a little lower in the rpm range. Very underated pipe those pro curcits.
-
Jetting??? It sounds like you could be real lean due to extreme cold. What mods? What jetting? What elevation?

Ha ha ha ha ha, your an idiot. First off planting outside Garentees the best lighting there is. You can spend $10000 for grow lights and not even come close to the lumens the sun puts out. So what if you have to watch it, don't you have to watch indoor dope? Guess what, mother nature has been growing dope forever with no help from indoor growing. If you want pics, I guess I could go to high times, or weed farmer and download some pics and post them as mine since you believe everything you see on the internet. Just because someone had sucess growing killer bud indoors, doesn't mean thats the only way to grow killer buds.

Chase, You can have the greatest grow set up ever, but if you have average seed, you will get average product. You can have the cheapest set up {puting the seed in the ground} and if it's great seed, you can get great product. Around here ditch weed is wild canibus. Weed impoted and compressed is called brick weed, mexican, or schwag. I live in the sticks. If I was to grow dope, I would secure premium seed like sold through high times {train wreck looks interesting}. I would plant them around may 1st {I like em big} in 5 gallon buckets with potting soil, and put 5 ft tall roll of wire fence around the buckets to keep the varmits out. I would also water them every other day and put some compost on them once a week, no fertilizer, all organic, {have you tasted dope that didn't have chemicals applied}. About 2 weeks before the summer solstice I would check for males and pull them. Around here I would harvest around sept 14-21. Out doors is the way to go, if you can. High times hasn't steered me wrong yet.

If you grow out doors, what lights do you need? Anyone who reads the "how to grow weed" section at high times.com, or weed farmer.com will get all the info they need to grow killer kind bud. Lights, fertilizers, timers, how to get rid of spider mites, when to alter the light cycles, when to harvest, how to dry, ect, ect. Also I would rather smoke some badly grown bubble gum, or white widow, than some ditch weed seed grown hydroponically. JMO
