Dude. What are you guys talking about grinding? Get a chain breaker. (motion pro, tusk, whatever. it aint 150-200 bucks!) Undo the master link. Take a regular link of chain out and press the master link back to the chain. Your done. Don't grind anything on your chain. Your going to fuck it up.

A '99 shock is getting pretty old anyhow. Rebuild it with new spring. My '02 has been rebuilt by Works. I love it. I'm 250-260lbs (i'm 6'5" so I aint fat!) and I don't have any problems with the suspension on my stock '06. It'll never be as good as a 180lb rider, but it does the job

I have a dent in my pipe from the tie rod. No other damage of bends that I'm aware of. I guess under enough stress, it will push the 2 together for a moment

I had one of these. Fit fine EXCEPT, the adjustment bolts from the arm to the carrier. There was no way to hold them in place. Hard to explain. Basically, my carrier kept moving about until the lower part of the arm broke.
