  1. Most guys running gas use NGK BR8 series (EG or ES)
  2. https://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/181056-redline-racing-pumper-carb-mod/
  3. No problem with coil bind and I very lightly dress the leading edge of the wire after the coil is cut.
  4. For asphalt I've been cutting OEM springs for over a decade. Personally I think there are a lot of trail and open road quads out there that really don't need lockups but if you do and all you're looking for is to ease the lever pull to make the day's ride more comfortable go with stock springs. If you still have more pull than you care for just cut equal amount off of each spring. I use a dremel with a cut off disc.
  5. I've always cut coils (PWK's) on my asphalt Banshee's. Be careful to only take a 1/4 off at a time because once you close you can go to far and ruin them.
  6. Clutch chatter does that. Anyone who's done much asphalt has run into it from time to time. Can affect steels and/or fibers.
  7. Did you find one?

  18. This is what we put on the wifes asphalt Banshee when she started out with stock carbs. From Rocky Mountain ATV: https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/1429/6800/Uni-Air-Filter-POD-Clamp-On?s=1963
  19. Yes, A properly cut tranny that's not being abused in the way it's being used won't "eat" forks.
  20. Said a mouthful right there. Not critical for most guy's applications but if you're as anal about clutch tuning as I am for my asphalt bikes then dealing with variances in used springs is a real freakin treat lol.
  21. ^^ Correct - If the mains aren't drilled and you're truly running 155 mains with alcohol then you'll be way to lean
  22. Any BHQ Sponsor can help you out. I get my clutch stuff from FAST Racing.
  23. I think Bryan mentioned a little about scotch pad prep earlier in the thread which works well but be careful when it comes to blasting the steels. Different textures can be had depending on the media used but fibers can be destroyed quickly with an overly aggressive surface. Especially if you're setup for slippage on a 9000rpm dump the clutch hole shot. As a bracket racer I've found that I really like the standard vibratory finish that most steels have when new and will fine tune after some break in time as engagement characteristics and ET's change quickly and a lot as the surface "settles in".
  24. I really like the spray on CRC white lithium grease for holding the orings. Once the carrier has dried off they stick in place pretty well.
