  1. Ordered pegs and dress up parts that were supposedly in stock. Waited three weeks. Finally called and they claimed I didn't make a purchase. I gave them order info and they then claimed my card info didn't go through. I then emailed a bank statement showing the charge. They told me that it must of been a mix up and that they will send parts. After two more weeks I still didn't have parts and when I called again I was told I had to wait for some parts to be made. So I asked for a refund and they refused. Parts finally came another two to three weeks later and the gas cap threads were off enough to gaul up the threads on the tank. The pegs had trashy thin welds. FYI, those legs have come apart on several other folks. Just google RIS Designs and look at what guys are saying. Sport bike crowd, Harley crowd, and the banshee guys are all chalked full of negative reviews.
  2. I wouldn't spend a dime with RIS.
  3. CPI's actually do pretty well on the 421 Cubs. They'll make it come on a little sooner then the Shearers. Plus they should actually fit a little better over the Shearers.
  4. Grab a set from Cascade before they're gone!
  5. I hope you're prepared to spend a small fortune and good luck. They are getting hard to find.
  6. I no longer bother with the little skid plates for the A arms. To be honest I haven't bolted them on in over 10 years. The last set of A arms they went on were +2+1 Armadillo A arms and they went on pretty decent. There are so many arms out there that there is no garuntees on them fitting every arm well.
  7. PRM is desert grade durability. Good shit. I have a full PRM set up for when I'm trail riding and it takes major abuse. I keep hearing they are getting ready to close up shop though.
  8. If everything was already the right valving, length, etc, it would be worth it. However that rear shock is of no use to you. Sell it. And if the fronts will need to be rebuilt for your weight they really are of no use either. I'd say sell that stuff and just buy banshee specific parts for you. If you are determined to use the fronts, I believe Laegers, and Fireball use 17.5-18.5 inch shocks.
  9. What length and weight are they set up for? That's what will matter most. Length will dictate what arms you'll need.
  10. SLP pipes for bottom end grunt.
  11. Hit up McDermott Racing. Harry sold Trinity off, but kept the rights to the Cheetah parts. I have an old qoute in email somewhere I'll try to find it for you. $500 shipped on the pipes .
  12. Damn, guess I better start reading the alky shit.
  13. Is there anyone doing oxygenated alky? Or would it be nonsense? I have avoided the alcohol due to the PITA it can be to start in 30* and below temps when ice racing. But I'm hoping to get back in to racing clay again in the warmer months. So, thinking about doing alky on at least one of the new bikes.
  14. 10 mil 465 serval, or if you wanna wait longer a 521 super serval is doable. Redline has done a few Super Servals and yes, the porting is worth the extra cost and effort. Seems like the Super Servals take some time to get of they are between casting runs at CP. Mine took a while to get the cylinder. If you go Super Serval, you'll need a big bore pipe. The small bore Shearers wouldn't cut it. That said I've got a set of big bore small flange in frame Shearers if sell ya if you're serious. Also, just get a new head and get domes from whoever ports it b
  15. Pretty sure those go in the top plate on the under side. Figure out if there's an air leak. They'll melt motors down.
  16. Transmission and crank case are seperate. Totally different leaks. As far as o ring placement, is that a pro design head?
  17. Check for air leaks, make sure the petcock is flowing good to both carbs, and make sure the needle and seats on both carbs are flowing. Ultimately I'm leaning toward an air leak.
  18. Has it ever backed out spark plugs?
  19. Keep me in mind if that ever changes.
  20. Put it in the scrap pile and get another.
  21. Dunes and trails, I'd suggest a Serval Cub. Do a 4mil for about 80ish HP. Or a 10 mil for about $700-800 more, and about 20 more HP.
