maybe these picks will help, i can feel where the connecting rod would meet the bottom of the case, it feels like it gouged some metal out as if it went further down then it was supposed to.. this is the side all of the problems are on, the piston is dented on the bottom and worn a lot more on the top here the connecting rod is scored cant figure out the milky stuff? obviously its water and oil but wheres it coming from? its in both sides of the crank casing

well the title says it.. i need help splitting my cases! ive never done it before, the farthest ive been into this motor is the topend and the clutch...the clymers manual just sucks because its step by step shit is garbage..atleast on the clutch replacement...is it hard? how do i get all the crap off hte bottom so it doesnt go inside? how do i find how im getting water in the lower end? seals, orings? what do i need to do to get the cases apart? this is what i want to replace while im in there.. the shifter bar all seals and orings crankshaft when i take it apart are springs and shit going to fly out at me? please help thanks guys

well to make a long story short, i just bought 1/2 gallon of the 927, 5 gals of 93 and went out..she starting makin a funny noise so i took her home as fast as i could...scoped it all out and found the i have milky stuff in my lower end, not to mention i just spent 300 on my topend. so the left side piston is bent in half at the bottom and the connecting rod is all scored up.. so something is in there obviously..who do i take the motor to and have all my seals, shifter bar, and the crank trued welded and new bearings??? how much is it going to cost me? ive gotta get my cylinders honed too i think. i can still see some crosshatch but who knows..geez im pissed off!

www.z400central.com sounds like hes running a little small on the main.. see what the guys over there have to say. the pilot only runs 0 to 1/4 throttle...so post in there..cool site nice bikes...still slower than doggg doodoo

dude thats more than most people have...i would leave it alone. when u compression drops below 110 then rebuild it. rings,pistons,wrist pin bearing, bore/hone job, and inspect your lower end bearings too...but shit ride the piss out of it

it might be a good idea to check wiht your homeowners policy beacuse i called them on it and they said "they would not insure it because its not for use to better my home" so progressive hooked me up! and i think the chain is made from boron/magnesium... its heavier than shit dude
