not sure but i opened the exhaust up on my cyliders about an 1/8 inch id, and polished them up with a rubber type dremmel stone,now i can tell the difference in longer harder pull down the road,,,and a crisper trottle response on the bottom end....other than that i have twin k&n filters with a 290 jet,,,i think im gonna bump up to a 300,and the 310 was just a little to much,,,it was boggish on bottom end,,,and i have fmf pipes in which i would rather have t-5 toomeys

i used a red plastic folgers coffee can,,,,,slips over real nice,,,,maybe add 2 zipties to keep it all the way against the carbs,,,,,,quick cheap fix,,,,try it out and let me know if there is a better way

IM STILL LEANING TOWARDS CRANKSEALS AND MAYBE EVEN A BAD CRANK ONCE YOU GET IT APART...THIS IS WHAT MINE DID...ONE PIPE STAYED COLD....REVVED LIKE A BLASTER... NOBODY WANTS THAT...IT EVEN CHANGED SIDES ON ME AND THE OTHER WAS HOT AND THE HOT ONE QUIT FIRING...NO MATTER WHAT I DID SHE WOULDNT RUN RIGHT...IT EVEN RAN ON EACH CYLINDER ONE AT A TIME WHEN ONE PLUG WIRE WAS OFF THE OTHER SIDE......HAD ANOTHER 01 BANSHEE TO TROUBLESHOOT WITH SO I CHANGED COIL-CARBS-REEDS-CDI BOX-STATOR-REMOVED THE TORS-REMOVED PARKING BRAKE-RAN IT WITH NO SILENCERS-PULLED THE JUG TO INSPECT THE COLD SIDES PISTON-SO WHAT WAS LEFT--RIGHT,,,,GET THE GUN OUT AND KILL IT....SO I WAS CHANGING THE CRANKSEALS AND FOUND I HAD A SLOPPY CRANK TO ADD TO MY MISERY....PUT IN A USED CRANK AND NEW SEALS AND SHES A SHEE AGAIN....RIPPIN LIKE IT WAS NEVER BROKE....IF IT KINDA SOUNDS LIKE THAT TRUE LITTLE STORY I JUST BORED EVERYONE WITH TEAR IT DOWN,,,PUT NEW SEALS IN IT AND GET AN OPINION ON THE CRANK WHILE ITS OUT....DONT FORGET TO GET SOME YAMABOND FOR THE CASE HALVES

i had the same problem,,,my crankseal was bad,,,,right side plug had a slight gear oil smell,,,i had one cold pipe so i swapped parts with a buddy untill crankseal was only thing left,,,problem solved

i want to advance my timing a smidge,,,how far do i go ,,will it hurt my engine,,,will i pick up hp on top or bottom or both

im getting ready to buy a new set,,,,i have had t-5 series and i loved them,,,i currently have fmf fattys,,,,but i think im just a toomy man,,,,so i need to know from an experinced t-6 person if they are worth the extra bucks compared to the t-5 set...

ok,,,heres the deal...i have a 2001 banshee with bad crank bearings...so i want to do a stroker kit,,,timing plate,,,lightened flywheel,,,modified shift star,,,prodesign coolhead,,,,domes depending on crank setup,,,stock carbs in the winter with k&ns no airbox...lectron alky carbs for summer,,,, possible 4 in over swingarm later on,,,we only ride on weekends,,,,normal trails ,hills,down the roads,,,through shallow creeks,,,,silverlake and the badlands,,,i just want to be the one with some roostability...for about $1500.00 to $2000.00,,,,which parts and mods do i want for the biggest bang for the buck.. and the best places to get the parts without getting ripped off,,,.please help before i buy the wrong combo...i need some options,,,.thankyou
