  1. im 19 and own a 98 banshee and an 04 z400..got aobut 4000 into the z..not that cocky i guess.. i knwo my limitations and i knwo that the she' will smoke any 400 out there and not to even try to race...cheers to you 400 owners
  2. hey guys on to my next problem..well i just took the she out after i installed the tusk clutch kit... its works great.but i had to adjust that sucker 3 times in the gearbox after i filled the sob with oil ...it sucked . i went through 6 quarts of mtl 7 a quart...wow!! then a little over a gallon in anti freeze.. anyways works good but it seems to run hot ...ive never felt heat in between my legs like i did yesterday...dont know if i have air in the radiator or not...how can i know that the she' wont overheat and crack my block??? damnit its so nerveracking.. Now onto the top end... when i give it gas it runs like the plugs are fouled..... BTW i can start the bike with my hand.. there is no compression whatsoever.. should i be nervous about riding it with the motor in the condition it is...what could be causing that feeling of the plugs being fouled..they are in extremely good condition..maybe i outta do the topend and then get back to u..well now that ive typed for 20mins ill see what the experts have to say... Heres the bike setup.. FMF Fattys Not sure which silencers.. no idea about jets 20-40 over. no reeds K&N filter Not sure what jets... later guys

  5. the tank you are refering to is a coolant overflow ..when coolant gets hot it expands and it needs somewhere else to go so thats the tank so dont worry about that tnak
  6. wow guys thats sounds really shitty.. the only thing i can tell you is to find somebody who owns a nice chunk of property and see if they would mind if you made some paths on their hills..out in ohio we only get chased when we go by the house's , or in the unfortunate event that one of our quads break down we always get chased ..dont know why but it always happens..later guys

  9. if i were u i would go with the new suzuki rmz450 motor...never seen a hyrbrid that can blow the yfz and the 450r's out of the water..its coming boys the new z450! unbelievable four stroker
  10. heh just traded my warrior i payed 2500 for and beat the bejesus out of ...got a 98 on its last leg for it...but shes still stock sized =) nice pipes and kit and all that on her too!
  11. well guys dont know why but unconnected the shutoff switch for the tors and guess what the cocksucker sparked! i was so excited took her out for hte first time and broke my big toe kicking it ...its got those x-factor nerfs and its right in the way..hurts like a bitch. anyways thanks for the help guys... how hard is a clutch to do on this thing..anyone ever done it before? could u walk me through it or is there literature on the internet..if so send me the link...good l00kin guys later

    well ive determined that i need a cdi box..so u got it lemme get it!! damnit too bad cant borrow one!
  13. im gonna buy one for the banshee see how it holds up.. i got a lonestar on the Z and the finish on those dont hold up to my standards...its surface rust come right of with a wire brush but i want the BLING!
  14. alright got the wiring diagram handy..just got done troubleshooting...one thing that i found on my bike thats different on the diagram is there is a green/yellow stripe wire coming out of the cdi to the front around under the tank and the guy that had the bike last has it snipped ....not spliced together tho..anyone know what its for??? need to know that..and also they have the key switch disabled and not spliced together. ? the link u sent said the red/black and black wires should be tied.. is that correct??? well the stator tested good!! that sux cause i dont want to buy a new cdi....wish i knew somebody that would lend me there cdi...cant figure this damned thing out!!! thanks guys

  16. i shouldnt have to kick it while measuring the resistance right? well ill try that out and get back in a few days.. if it is the stator is the 200 watt ricky worth 255?? or should i just get the stock 100?
  17. well the losers at the local quad shop tested the coil to be bad and i replaced it and nothing!!! does anyone know how to test the stator i have a testlight that lights up with the yellow wire touching it... but nothing else lights up ... i imagine thats for the lights. but no other wire lights up. how can i determine that its the stator and not spend 200 on a cdi box and then find out that isnt it. also please tell me how to get the flywheel off cant figure it out... my bike is needing a top end and it spins sooo easy..thanks!
  18. well i traded my warrior for a 98 banshee! good deal??? anyways she needs a top end but not right away. it has no spark tho... how do i troubleshoot? i dont know how to test the coil ...how do i check the cdi box or the stator? i put a test light on the wires going to the coil and kicked it but got nothing...which wires do i check please help want to show the local duners up!!! ASAP! -Brian Foster
