  1. i run sabre at 80:1 on nos, with a new motor. not a problem in 4 years.
  2. yea, down to richen. better yet don't let it warm up and hold it open for a second or two then you won't have to worry about.
  3. sounds like it's going lean. pull your choke and see if it gets better.
  4. you're a dork just kidd'n ya powervalve boy! crap there i go again!
  5. get the filters if you use that equal crap, otherwise when you check your tire pressure some will get stuck in the valve and won't come out. now your stuck at the dunes with a flat tire that needs a valve core.

    good cdi for 95?

let me know if you have one.
  7. pipes, carbs, hell i can't screw up right! fix it and go ride! later dude!
  8. finde a shop, any tire shop, with a bubble balancer. should do the trick.
  9. you guys are all dorks.
  10. something tells me you're going to be able to tell me what that dirt tastes like.
  11. i think i dropped one main when i changed, but i would just try it first. you're going to feel a "seat of the pants" change in your bike thats for sure. more fuel less oil, if it doesn't make you faster it's just weight!
  12. isn't there someone else on this board having trouble with tusk clutches? i'm starting to think that tusk sucks.
  13. dude, your not going to blame the pipes are you? jk
  14. how many people do we know get a banshee, mod the crap out of them, go out and all most kill themselves and then sell them for a 1/4 of what they have in them? the first mod i say-- you. learn to ride, going from a 300ex to a modded banshee only insures your taste in hospital food is about to change.
  15. could be nothing. i've put alot of motors in my bike of varying size ( always larger ) sometimes one side smokes, sometmes the other. this is the first motor that doesn't do that, heck, it doesn't smoke even when it's cold
  16. due to the fact that the cdi can't be tested i just change it after everything else is tested. saved me alot of headaches like this.
  17. no the problem wouldn't be evident. ok, let us run throught this, first anneal the gasket- that whole heating and quenching thing. clean the gasket, i used fine grit sand paper. apply a light coat of 3-bond 1211 (tried yamabond 4, didn't work) torque the head down, for the banshee with this gasket you add 10% so 22 ft pounds. wait about 30 min and retorque. let stand for 72 hours ( 3 days) and warm her up (don't ride) let her cool and retorque, repeat. now you are ready. i replaced that gasket in mine 3 frickin times, do it this way and maybe you'll only have to do it twice. if you skipped even one thing in this procedure it will not work right.
  18. spitting cold coolant IS a big deal. let us fix the bike before we try to repair the performance. now focus and answer my question.
  19. ok dude, you've got problems. first is this the copper head gasket that goes with their stage 4 head? if so did they give you the proper sealant to go with it? on my bike i have this very thing, but it's usually it is reserved for really big bores. spitting cold coolant is a bad sign and could explain our other problems.
  20. both of these guys bought stuff for me and are top notch all the way!!! awsome people! thanks guys!!! Kraig
  21. nut on the sprocket side, you nut.
  22. check for detonation
  23. how does this do on grass??
  24. yeah, stroker porting drops the port to match the top of the piston. most porting for stock bikes raise the ports. on my 7mm stroker i don't even run a base gasket, the cylinders are glued right to the cases to get the ports as low as possible.
