  1. Hope I didn't come across like i was saying to ditch your cylinders. I just think if your heart is set on some big bore stock cylinders, find some used ones. Resleeving just isn't very cost effective, especially if your cylinders haven't been ported.
  2. when you get those things off pitch them in the garbage and buy an aftermarket one. that and a round carrier swingarm are 2 of the best improvements you can make to keep your chain tight and skin on your knuckles.
  3. I did the same thing the first time I put a clutch in. See if you can take a small flatblade and catch on something on the broken piece and loosen it.
  4. I ran a Mattoon lockup with my old shee, worked like a champ. Cleared my pegs and brake pedal too. I heard after I got mine done that Jim's Sand Toys or some place did them for $300 exchange and you received a polished cover. That's still more than I paid for mine and I picked it up the next day from Cameron @ Redline since he does them in shop.
  5. by the time you get your cylinders sleeved and ported, you're gonna have too much money into them in my opinion. call some builders and ask around to see if they have some laying around. I bought a complete kit the other day (long rod crank, coolhead, domes, cylinders, and pistons for $500 just buy calling one and asking what he had laying around. The cub cylinders basically killed the pricing on stock cylinder setups, because everyone ditched them in favor of the cubs. good luck
  6. While it definitely sucks to hear about your jetting woes, this last paragraph is refreshing to hear. It's coming up on a year since you bought those cylinders from me, and while I know how they ran on my bike, I've been anxious to get a ride report from you. I surprised a helluva lot of guys with those cylinders too. I wish I could help you out with your jetting, but really have no clue where to start because of your altitude. I'm ready to see some choke cherry vids next.
  7. definitely don't overtorque those bolts. they break very easily.
  8. +2 lines are like +2 feet it seems. should be plenty of length for +3 arms
  9. could be a clogged pilot as well.
  10. Not 100% sure, but I don't think they equalize pressure between cylinders since they are upstream from the reeds. I think it's the same concept of the boost bottle, where the air/fuel from one carb has a certain amount of inertia built up from when the transfers are open, that whey they close, the crossover allows this mass some place to go as the other cyliders transfers prepare to open a short time later.
  11. I need those carbs badly for my bike. I have the following to trade: RAD billet bearing carrier Aluminum old school hubs Billet Shifter Stator Shift Drum If you could, please send them priority. I'll send this stuff 7 day ground... haha, just messin......I'm good buddies with Harlan
  12. still waiting on pics myself....
  13. do the carbs still have the TORS tops on them? if not, I'll take them as long as they are in good shape. please send pics to [email protected]
  14. I may have what you are looking for. I'd trade for a newer one. I'll look when I get home.
  15. I'll let you know in a couple of days. I pick it up from Forward Air on Friday.
  16. very interested in shocks and a-arms please send pics to [email protected] if they are in good shape, consider them sold
  17. For bigger carbs, I don't think BOSS makes an intake. Wes can chime in on this one, but I think he ended up buying some from Redline. White Knuckle sells the same ones I think that are engraved with their logo.
  18. thanks for the concern... bumpski
  19. that's some good kansas math, fellers 25.4mm = 1 in
  20. Need to be chrome or stainless finish in average to good shape with no big dents. PM me or email pics to [email protected]
  21. can almost guarantee that a helmet law will be on the voting pamphlet this year in PA. wonder how much surgery would've been required had he been wearing one.... I don't like imposing laws on people, but sometimes you just gotta save people from themselves....
  22. Damn, he's too young for that. My prayers are with you and your family, big fella.
  23. Is the bike complete? If so, if you still have the bike in a couple of days, I'll most likely be interested in the complete bike.
  24. I got my show chrome shearer inframes through them, and the pipes and silencers were in a box with no packing whatsoever. my silencers had gouges in them from beating against each other. I don't know how my pipes weren't dented or scratched, but the shipping was late on those too. guess you get what you pay for....
