  1. www.directdrivecnc.com They make some pegs that will most likely bolt right on. From the pictures, it doesn't look like they are very "beefy" though.
  2. You can get the finish in 3 flavors. Bare Production Chrome Show Chrome I think bares run about 415 shipped, production 475 shipped, and the show chrome 570. Cascade Innovations sells the show chrome ones. They aren't a true "show chrome", but the finish is much better then the production stuff, probably on par with cpi's chrome. My left pipe fits like crap and I gotta really tweak on the spacing and bolt tightening sequence to get the pipe to not rub on the top of my head. The performance is worth the mechanical shortcomings though
  3. Not necessarily, Ellison. My 4mm ported motor with CPI's used 320 main jets in my stock carbs. Buddy of mine with the same setup only he ran T5's, was up around 400 on the main jet. Does that mean that T5's flow better than CPI's? Actually, come to think of it, 1dir racing g3 powercurve reeds comes to mind..."more flow, more go" lmao...anyway. I think alot of it has to do with the pipe restuffing the cylinder with the reflected wave in the pipe. Therefore, more fuel ends up in the cylinder with less jetting, because the pipe and cylinder port layout are in sync with each other and operate more efficiently. The planet sand guys are the ones with the $$ and the testing. The average HQ'er is just your average guy with a banshee and no dyno in the shop. And that's fine, because most people on HQ aren't drag racers either. But Rockets and CPI's are drag pipes. On planet sand, I'd bet you that nearly 99% of the knowledgeable people would recommend CPI over Rockets. Is it a conspiracy? I highly doubt it. Those guys would sacrifice their first born to the banshee gods if it shaved .1 off their 300 ft times. In my opinion, the Rockets are the most overhyped pipe I ever heard of, and it only seems to happen here on the good ol' HQ. True, I've never run them or dyno'd them myself, but I tried and was promised on more than one occasion a set to dyno on my bike. I remember quotes like "come hell or high water, I'll get you a set of pipes" or "if I have to pull them off my bike to get you a set, that's how committed I am". I probably welched on 5 different dyno sessions because as could probably surmise, no rocket pipes ever showed up.
  4. Purchase went as intended
  5. Heading to the candy store today (cascade) and they take paypal, so 75 shipped on everything but the seat today.........
  6. ^^^bump This crap going on ebay Saturday.
  7. err, edit, thought this was WesW selling them from looking at the avatar
  8. I'd get the T5's. They will work much better on a stock motor and will respond well to porting later down the road as well. After that, would be a good idea to move toward the suspension.
  9. looks like 1 unhappy customer that bought 3 of them.
  10. I just don't wanna hassle with ebay. Some prices I listed might be good deals, others, not so good, dunno. Also, the pics turned out shitty, I'll get some better pics if anyone is interested in anything.
  11. who has a stock banshee? factory stock, the raptor will probably beat the shee.

Thanks, man. Axle was in good shape, especially for that price.
  14. they definitely keep me on my toes. the shearers work very well with the cub motors.
  15. 2 completely different setups. really just depends what kind of power you want and your budget.
  16. sorry to hear it, man. from those of us who've been there, welcome to the club. women can really fuck up your life with little to no effort. good luck, man.
  17. and buying a whole nother motor has its plus's and minus's. doing it yourself, you have most of the components already, and can most likely add the mods cheaper than you can get into a complete used motor. on top of it, the porting can be done to meet your needs, not the previous owner's. add to that, you know exactly what you got when you do your own. too many people get ripped buying shit over the net. complete motors are no exception. good luck man. I hope whatever route you choose, that your bike rips and you are pleased.
  18. porting is probably the most cost effective mod you could do for your motor. a piped shee will put about 50HP to the wheels. that same motor with porting will add about 15HP on gas, which is damn near 33%. Same port job with a 4mm crank, and you're looking at 30HP or 60% gain. Given that pipes run about 500 to 600 new depending on what you buy, a 325 port job, and a 400 dollar crank don't seem out of line pricewise.
  19. I think that's a motor from dynoedge, he was tryin to sell it on ps a week or so ago.
  20. elaborate on the ruining part, just curious. do you mean less reliable?
  21. You can put a 4mm crank in and port it later. You will still get some noticeable gains and have room to upgrade later with porting when money allows. You don't have to go out and buy bigger carbs just because you have a 4mm crank either. I ran stock carbs in my ported 4mm for an entire season before I went to a cub. First dyno run was 76HP with pump gas and CPI pipes. I switched over to full race gas and higher compression domes, and was probably right at 80HP with those stock carbs. If you want a better opinion, call some builders and talk to them.
  22. got pics? is the bike titled?
  23. guess it's time to rip up my membership application.... dammit, I'd already done one of the intitiation drive by's
  24. pretty cool lookin so far, man
  25. some animals don't shit where they sleep, if you know what I mean. I like to be able to talk to my builder about my bike and changes I could make to it for performance gains and such. You're getting to the point where I doubt Jeff would even want to talk to you, much less sell a chain.
