what is the differnce between T5 AND T6
ToomeySheeLE replied to charles's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
If you plan on getting portwork done and making your bike more of a drag bike T-5's If you want an everything else bike .....Get the T-6's You wont be disappointed If your motor is stock right now you would notice a big difference between the two, the T-6's pulling quite a bit harder They have good all around power increases. Good luck. They look real nice too. My chroming was second to none.. Try not posting your question 3 times.. Your lucky if you get many responses because people will consider you a fucking retard.. I've used a 15t front for quite a while ..until the sprocket needed replaced Helps your bike hook up a bit better in some situations as it raises the gear ratio, and gives u a bit more top end.. I liked 15 -41 better then stock 14-41 In the dunes however you might like 14 over 15.. you might have a hard time pulling 6th gear up any kind of incline... at least a 6th gear with much power.. Im running 14 - 38 right now and love it..(close to the same ratio as 15-41) but helps cut down the rotatin mass slightly .. although if i go dunning next year im going to get a 13 T front

If your going to use it... I'd mix it at 32:1 If your breaking your motor in, perhaps 1 tanks at 24:1 The bottle my friends use has a sled on it, but i think that one is the same thing just different marketing, theres is the 2000 whatever as well.. That Samurai type is expensive.. Way over priced IMO. Its hard to find a more expensive oil than that around here.. Prices vary depending where you are I suppose.. lets just say your not going to blow your motor up @ 32:1 or even likely @ 40:1 with dominator or Ipone, unless of course its jetted wrong. the oil wont be the cause.. It comes down to price and perfernce of smell really... Good luck

I have 2 friends that run it.. I dont think you hear much about it because its directed at the snowmobile market more so, it is recommended for oil-injected systems. It may be prone to settling in the bottom of your tank as oppose to staying consistant throughout your fuel. I dont personnally run it for 4 reasons, I dont like the thought of smelling like a gay strawberry(the smell is much more sickening over time I find, than other oils), 2- the dealer that sells it is a fucking asshole(ripped me off $400), 3- I like running blue marble and wouldn't feel as confedient leaning out Ipone as Much, and 4 - it wouldnt' work out to be any cheaper for me.... Just my 2cents.. my friends that run it don't seem to complain about it, but they are the kind of guys that would have no problem running the "run of the mill" quality 2-stroke oil if they didn't have enough ipone mix for the ride out. There is another Ipone Oil out as well that is almost twice as expensive, its geared more for gook street bikes i think. IMO if a company comes out with an oil thats nearly double the price, the cheaper oil is probally not all that wonderful

I personally didn't think it was near as good as either of the others.. If your a fan of the series of course you'll have to see it.. IMO they should have not kept flashing back to the previous ones.. we already knew it was the amanda chick in on it.. I accually expected it to be more gory than that..

She should have shot herself in the head, then perhaps with medical assistance the baby could have survived.. -
Just wondering if power reeds will flow enough and be strong enough for a ported 4 mm motor, I've read that some people get the TDR reeds and port their cages. thats another option anything besides spending 220$ for fucking v-forces thanks

Yeah passion sells the boss intake for a little less than that I like the looks of the one piece unit with the air directory fins.. wheather that really helps reduce turbulance or not..
-
Thanks for the pics, the boss system looks damn nice, does it have the cross section in it like the other models?
-
thanks, I may go with the boss intake, i emailed passionracing for some pics, what filters do you run with them?

I drilled 2 small holes and put 2 bolts through the rubber on each side, spaced it out with washers on the left side, but the pipe already had a small dent from hitting the head.. I couldn't justify spending the 60$ for aftermarket ones and not knowing for sure that they wouldn't break... I also grinded off the exhaust bumpers located at the bottom of the frame, they were hitting the right side and making quite a racket while riding... they are for stock pipes and of no use for any aftermarket exhausts.

Im looking to get some motor work done and am thinking of going with the 35pwk carbs, Is there an intake out there besides the 200$range prodesign unit? I've seen alittle bit of you guys talk about a Boss intake system.. are they still on the market? Just looking to spend less than 200 bucks on 2 peices of rubber. Thanks for any input Brad

Where are you located? would you be willing to drive some distance for a sale? I'm from Southern Ontario, would be willing to meet for pick up somewhere in between if your not half way across the US. Thanks

Getting annoying with 28pwks,CPIs, Help please.
ToomeySheeLE replied to ToomeySheeLE's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Well.... Dont have to worry about that anymore... Blew the transmission out of her i believe... Rejetted the carbs and it started up nice and everything,, went riding tonight and everything was swell for about 1 1/2 hours then Pop, Banshee died and when i tried to start it all kind of grinding sounds , so i had it towed all the way home... wasn't shifting as good as it used to, felt harder to shift. for alot of the ride. sound like the transmission gone? -

Thanks alot.. I was thinking i would be told the pilots are lean at least.. since jets arn't cheap im hoping i'll only have to do this once to get them close enough.. I will order some 48 pilots and 160 mains... I'll post on here once i giver a test.. probally take a couple days to get the jets in Thanks guys -

Alrighty, I finally had a chance to rip into them and this is what i found they have 155 mains, 42 pilots and the clip is in the 3rd postition down from the top.. I'm at sea level and the temp is around 20C ( 70F) these days.. Thanks for any help Also Its fine to just connect those fittings together? -
Always looking for new pits to ride. Are they pretty easy to find in Huntsville?

I raced a guy who had the aerospeed tires and got beat, bikes were about the same mods and if anything my bike should have had a few hp on his. my buddy watched the race and said it looked like he was hooking up alot better right out the line. I was running the GBC sand devils(the ones with 8 straight paddles)... Alot of people like the expensive skat trak haulers for dragging but unless skat-traks paddles have less flex I still cant see them accellerating faster than the reinforced aerospeeds..IMO Other then dragging someone with better hook-up tires the GBC work awesome. Alot cheaper than some and they definitily work nice. Pulling the front endup is easy as hell and i found with enough throttle you can still slide the back end pretty good without getting into a one wheel situation.

Just wondering if anyone else is from the Southern Ontario Region, and where you ride, sand pits, tracks etc.

Alrighty, I have a set of 28pwks and Uni pod filters. They came pre-jetting so i thought i'd basically be able to bolt them on and go.. well after bolting them on and trying to go for about an hour i through the stockers back on just so i could get out and ride today. I'm not sure what they are pre-jetted to(find out when i rip into them in the morning). But im wondering what they should be around, figuring someone out there runs a very similar set-up. Im at sea level, have a clean-up port, Cpi Inframes, going to be running these with Pod Uni filters...hopefully. and +4 timing once the jetting is good. my stock carbs which seem to be jetted very good, possibly 1 main size rich are at 320mains, toomey needles and 30 pilots i believe.. when i tried the new set-up out this morning it didnt' want to start, but will with choke open and a little throttle. Once i managed to get the bike warm(by screwing with the chokes and throttle position) i took it for a ride down the road.. i seems to work pretty good except want to die out once the revs get down.. i tried tweeking the idle settings, but to no avail, still wants to die when i dont give it juice. Anyways i have 400$ worth of parts that are pissing me off and was hopefull someone is running the same shit. Also the 2 little brass fittings beside the chokes on the 28pwks need to be blocked off? Thanks for any help whatsoever. Brad Just a side note, I congratulate anyone who is able to grind down the pwk bottom bolts to let the clutch accuator arm clear.. I thought i could just hacksaw them down.. needless to say this made me a trip to the local Yamaha dealer and another 18$ drop off for a new(un-cut into) bottom screw..*and a 60$ set of reed spacers(once they came in a week later)...... That wasn;t a PG rated moment.....
