  1. Hey Loco, Glad to hear the setup works, Im in the process of getting my cylinders ported and was hoping i'd be able to stick with the t-6s for a while anyways.. Do you happen to know what carb setup your brother used with his stockers on the port and pipe job? Thanks
  2. Could you send me pics via email? I'll give you 400$ for them if their mint bradlain@hotmail.com
  3. Do you still have the carbs for sale? If so email me bradlain@hotmail.com I have stockers, mint
  4. Yeah i was hoping to stay away from buying bigger carbs.. right now anyways.. I was on the Trinity site and they have a carb set up sheet that tells you the jets and setting that work best with certain mods.. With their port and polish they can still run stock carbs with 330 main jet size i believe it was... Also how important is timing advance? wont i either lose top end and gain bottom or viseversa by messing around with the timing? I want to try the t-6's.. if they dont end up working good with the port job.. expect to see them up for sale or trade. Thanks Brad
  5. Hey there, just a quick question. Im rebuilding my banshee this week and this is what i have so far, Toomey tr6's, boyseen reeds, jetted at 280. I'm going to get a top end port and polish/ cool head and wieco pro-lites put in the bansh. Just wondering what size domes you guys would recommend.. trying to keep compression around stock as thats what the pipes im running recommend. also any idea about what jetting changes i would have to make would be appreciated.. And would it be wise to rebuild the crank or should it be alright left stock... my bikes a 2003 so perhaps its due too.. Thanks for any info Brad
  6. I do mostly sand/dune riding. But love the drag racing on the street at the end of the day. Since shaving the head is $50 and a cool head is 350$ i think I'd probally go for the shave job.. I'm running engine ice right now.. hopfully i wont notice much of an increase of heat.. So a top end port, stock bore, shaved head sound alright with the t-6's? Thanks BRad
  7. I am thinking about redoing my top end, problally a mild port and polish and weisco pro lite pistons... what power difference will i see if much of any? and would it be wise to get a cool head or shave my stocker and if so how much can you shave and still run 91 octane? Also is an overbore a wise idea? Im currently running tr6s jeted well with filter and boysen power reeds, 15 tooth front sprocket.. approx 85mph Just a few questions I've been pondering. Thanks for the input brad
  8. I'm happy with my t-6s.. I think the chroming on mine are second to none.. i saw a set of bills pipes the other day .... WORST looking pipes ever made.. welds are ugly and plenty and as for the nickel plating i believe they are.. the guy that put them on ran his hand down the bottom of them and stuck himself with a huge sliver of the plating.. not fun.. he's very unhappy that he didn't go with the fmfs when he was choosing..
  9. I've also used Valvoline and Havoline.. 10w30... used to run 10w40 in my warrior.. neverhad any problems with either.. Just felt like switching for the sake of doing so and now im using Bellray Gearsaver 80w90 i believe.. anyways all seem to work great for me... I also switched from 50/50 water/anti freeze to Engine Ice once i put my pipes on.. It does lower the tempeture of my bike.. but by how much im not sure , just know that i can ride alot longer on hot days without bogging like it used to. my 2 cents B-rad
  10. Thanks.. Shit.. i hate to see that studding is the way to go.. I studded my stock dunlops that were nearly burnt off and they were good on ice.. but on snow.. shit i'd hate to put screws in my razrs... im surprised people seem to dislike the 4 snows by maxxis.. they're lighter than most sand tires which i figure as a plus.. hmm... stumped.. love to ride in the winter but dont love sleds so much...
  11. Hey everyone I've been wanting to get a set of sand tires for quite some time.. the ole razrs are great but spin like hell and make the motor run harder than it should.. as winter approches i was thinking that I'd try to find out what people have best luck in the snow with.. because i figure they will be obviously quite good in sand as well.. So my question is whats the best people have used in snow? I see maxxis has a "for Snow" tire.. it claims to be great.. but they seem new and snow hasn't fallen yet so those claims cant really be dependable... your thoughts please Thank Brad, Ontario
  12. its a thumb throttle.. twist throttle is a way to ballsey for me on a shee hmm... it appears to be in a-1 shape. i wash my bike nearly after every ride.. looks mint.. cant see dirt or fraying being a problem
  13. Anyone use these blades? I think they're farily new on the market, saw them in dennis kirk.. suppose to help response.. any reviews?
  14. no... also... another weird thing happened a couple times when i pulled in the clutch in nuetral it revs up
  15. hmm.. had them off when i jetted them.. they were good and clean then.. I ran some carb cleaner through them last week and it didn't clear up the problem.. I think I'll take them off and check them over... just a bit of a pain in the ass thanks for your input Brad
  16. Nope, stock carbs 280 main jet 4th needle clip Running the tr6's with their specs
  17. My throttle seems to be sticking when i rev my banshee up , this maybe happens 3 out of 10 times i rev it up from a idle.. could this be a case of needing new top end rings? My bikes an 03 and never had a change yet.. Or does everyone think this sounds more like a carb problem... bikes very clean
  18. I just switched from Yamalube to Blue Marble oil in my 03 Banshee. Mixed it at 24:1 for the first tank, going down to 32:1 after this is all burnt through. Let Engine idle 10 minutes befor setting off this afternoon with new juice running through my quads veins. It seemed to take a liking and i notice no ill effects. Blue marble claims that their oil is environmentally friendly, burns cleaner, smokeless/oderless, and increases fuel mileage. I won't know about the increase in fuel mileage until i run it for a while. But it certainly burns clean. there was no smoke after about 10 minutes of idling, must have burned the yamalube out of the carbs. Slightly cheaper than yamalube I feel so far that this is the oil to burn. I've read alot of great reviews by people who use it in their watercraft/snowmobiles/dirtbikes.. thought I'd be the first to review it in a banshee. So far so Good.
