  1. Well never got to work on it tonight...snowing like a mother here so had to get drive way all clear, and couldnt get the shop open where my shee is(its so cold)....i will be probably working on it next weekend, im leaving for mexico for a week..so ill let you guys know how it runs once i get new jets, thanks guys!
  2. Thanks TurbochargedOne ...going to work on it tomorrow night and adjust the slides check everything...need to get this thing running good for the winter
  3. Hey everyone...I have an 87 Banshee, and for a couple of weeks i have been taking that carbs apart because...the left side loads up so much (I Think) that as it is idling it will start to mis-fire, once it is warmed up and you give it gas, it stops firing and just shoots the gas/oil out the exhaust...and its not electrical cause i have switched the cables and nothing changed...when i first start it up it runs like the right, but then gets worse and worse....so my question is..is my left side jetting off so bad that its loading up so much it fouls the plugs as its running?...And what should my jetting be at (Roughly)? Mods: Boyesen Reeds K&N Air Filter(Lid Removed) DG Pipes Elevation-around 900 ft Main right now-270 Temperature around -5, -10 Not sure what clip the needle is on, or what size the pilot jet is Be working on it hopefully tomorrow afternoon Thanks for all help!

  6. Im going to be able to work on the shee this weekend and ill let you know if the floats are my problem
  7. Yes i just had the top-end re-done...carbs are in sync..took them apart tonight and noticed that the left side float goes higher than the right..would this matter ...and the right side runs strong and awesome...and the left side will start and idle fine, but the longer it idles the more oil builds up, and once you give it gas, it sprays oil(oil doesnt smell like transmission oil)...and i swtiched spark plug wires and nothing happened How would i check for air leak, get some ethier, have it idling and spray it around where air could get in?...thanks everyone
  8. Hey everyone, i have a 87 shee, just got new top end put in...and the top end it great, but i think my left carb's jetting is wrong because when it idles, the left side isnt as strong, and lots of smoke..and once i give it throttle, it shoots out a lot of oil...so is my left carb off on the jetting?..thanks in advance Mods: Boyesen Reeds, K&N Filter, DG Pipes, Stock Silencers, Boost Bottle 912 ft/ 278 m above sea level...not sure what main jet is in it right now...i live around London, Ontario...right now the temperature is around 0-5 degree's right now...and main pilot jet do you think i should get for this temp, elevation, mods?...thanks everyone
  9. Thanks guys...Im going to adjust it probably tonight if i have time..and ill order some new springs too...how many springs will i need?

  11. Hey everyone, just got the shee back. I was getting a new top-end put in it. And so i've been breaking it in tonight, taking it easy, going through the gears no higher than 1/4 throttle, and letting it cool down. But my question is, now with the extra compression, good power. Once it hits the power band its fine. But once you get it revving higher(more throughout the power band) it will all the sudden rev really high, and so i shift and its alright again until i get higher in the power band. And im guessing this could be that my clutch is slipping cause of the "new" power. I have a new stock clutch around, so im wondering if i should just put the all new clutching in. Thanks for all help and suggestions Mods: DG Pipes Boyesen Reeds Stock Silencers K&N Filter(No Lid)
