My brother has a v-force.He's already had the grab bar torn off 3 times, and it's bone stock.Other people will ride it.You can tell them it is a wheelie machine. They hit the gas and up it goes.Pointing toward the sky.It does run pretty good.He wanted to race at Little Sahara(he knew what would happen). He wanted me to spot him a few bikes.NO PROBLEM.I think I shifted twice until I caught him and went flying by him. Most of the yfz's are not a problem either.I'm not going to say I can beat all of them.I'm sure there is some very fast ones out there.

Something guys that mod their banshees should know is:The more power you put to these beast, the more gearing,tires,etc... becomes. That's just how it is.Clutches becomes a very important issue also. When my banshee just had pipes and filters, holeshots worked fine. After it was ported,it would spin them all day long. The clutches held up fine. After I switched to shearer pipes and alcohol the barnett clutches bit the dust very quickly.I just ordered clutches from F.A.S.T.Racing.It's more than just about a built motor.

I've been beat by some 4-strokes.I dished out my share of beating, but not always. At St.Joe there's a guy called THEBOM.He races Bombardier DS's.They are extremely built.Several are on nitrous.Yes,they are fast.I think one or two have override trannies. The 4-strokes can put out some crazy numbers, but I'm staying 2-stroke.I do wish ours would hook up as easy as 4-strokes.
-
This is the first one I've been to.How did you do last time?Did you race THEBOM?He races DS 650's.Well,I don't think any of his' quads are 650's anymore. He has nitrous on a few of them.He runs extremely good.I can't hang with him on the ones he just races.Super nice guy. He's from Missouri. Also,He was probably hanging out with a guy that goes by the name Macanic. He races a 250R.I think it's actually a 370.That Honda is very fast also.

THAT-A-BOY Congradulations! I was smoking YFZ's at little sahara.I have heard that some of them are getting pretty fast.I've heard the RonWood kit makes a huge difference.Be careful with them.Smoking most of them shouldn't be a problem, but there will one of these days be a sleeper come along.

Well, they decided it will be October 14,15,and 16.I'm going to try my best to be there.Anyone else?
-
I've been talking to one of the guys that's in on the event. It will most likely be either oct.15th or the 22nd.I'll be going if they have it on the 22nd.It's drag racing. That's what I built my banshee for.I expect to get smoked, but that's ok.They had some really fast quads last time.I wasn't there but saw pictures. Some insane quads. Here's a website for the park where they have it.The park is in Louisiana. http://atvdirtbikerecreation.com/

I had the T-6's with stock ports, dyna ignition,K&N filters, and a trinity head.I was not impressed at all with the T-6.They said it was probably the head causing problems with the pipes. It run better when I switched to the T-5's.
-
I'm using a 5 inch extension form JTM (jaeckeltool.com) .The quality and durability seems really good so far. It's cheaper than an aftermarket swingarm and does just as good.
-
T-5's are a good choice.
-
I've tried the FMF Fatty,Toomey T-5 and T-6,and shearer in-frames.When it still had stock ports, the T-5 was my favorite.I was told the both Toomey pipes were designed for stock banshees. The T-5 just works better when you start modifing it.They both have a very good sound.I'd definitely get the T-5 instead of the T-6.Get the Toomey needles too.The Toomey work good on ported bikes also.Later,I switched to shearer and alcohol carbs and it made a huge difference. It was really rough on the clutches. It's time for a new set. I still think you'd be happy with the T-5.

That depends. If the sand is damp and hooking really hard or your banshee isn't modified alot, then they should do fine.If the sand is dry and really powdery or you got a banshee putting out some serious horses, then paddles are your best bet.
-
This is not the first time it's happened.I 've raced banshees that were suppose to not be ported, regular gas,etc...They ended up beating me.There is no way.But when you're at tracks that has favorites, what can you do?Either quit going or go to just have fun.I'm going to go and just try to have fun.
-
I have a dyna ignition.I was able to jet up more once I installed it.It seemed to help some. It's not going to make a huge difference.I don't think it's worth the money. If you're looking for every horsepower you can get, then get it.I'd say save your money for a good port job. That's when you'll tell a big difference.

Shearer's vs. CPI's vs. T-5's.

When my banshee still had stock ports,I really liked the Toomey T-5's. They even done good after I had it ported.I later switched to shearer pipes. It's hard to say how much the shearer pipes improved it because I also switched to alcohol carbs at the same time. The pipes and alcohol had too much power for the clutches I had. They didn't last very long. So,I'm fixing to order new clutches and see how it reacts. Is it wrong to hope it's fast enough to scare me? -
The filters are very light. So you shouldn't have any problem with your intakes.

RDZ done my porting(level 2).I think it does good. He's a little high compared to most though, but the 350 runs good. I've just recently been talking to Jeff at F.A.S.T. racing.I really like his customer service, and I haven't even ordered anything yet.I am though fixing to order his clutch kit and have the shift mod done.If you've seen his bikes run,you know this can do wonders with a banshee. I think some of the speed shops loose sight of just how important customer service is.It's good to see some haven't.Thanks Jeff.

This is for anyone that visits sand creek.Be careful. The county cops are hanging out there now.I saw 3 of them. Each on 4-wheelers.The sheriff was out patroling on the rode by the entrance. Not to say without reason though. Some idiots got out in the gravel pit awhile back and broke some windows out of the owner's equipment.STUPID,STUPID,STUPID!!!!!!!!They are trying to keep people out of private property and cut down on the drinking and driving.Alot of that goes on.They are not (as far as I know) going to shut it down, just trying to regain some order.
-
I really like the clamp-on style filters.Buying a set of outerwears is also a good idea. They will help keep junk out of the filters. The stock air box is really restrictive.Ditch that stupid air box. That is of course you don't ride in alot of water and mud. Then keep that stupid air box.

Some smaller domes would give you more compression=more HP.I'm thinking 19cc domes, but then you would probably have to run race gas.Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
-
Something to consider.I once had a 250R with a Paul Turner pipe.It wouldn't out run piped banshees. Now,still think that 250R you raced was stock? There is no way.Dude,he done some serious work to that engine.
-
I use the 4-snows.They seem to hook really good on dirt tracks.I would like to try a set of pro-wedges though just to see if they are better.
-
I figure if you was spanking the 660(DUH),then the 700 shouldn't be a problem.I'm glad to see they are trying to improve the raptor.I ain't scared.
-
I don't think they changed anything besides plastic colors in forever.I think the B8ES should be ok.
