  1. The lower bend reminds me of a Toomey pipe.Maybe a Toomey T-3 or T-4.I don't know for sure.
  2. Go to your local stealership and order some 250r parts. Get ready to bend over LOL!
  3. Only a 500.ONLY A 500!That must be awesome to ride,or should I say just try to hang on to.I hope to just hang on to mine.
  4. Get it back together? How big is the engine now.Any bigger, and you might as well put a V-8 in that frame.LOL!
  5. Just asking to make sure, when you installed the new cylinders did you use new pistons and rings?Do a compression test just to eliminate that as one possible problem.Let me know how much it has.I'm not sure on the transmission oil question.
  6. Hi Skip. How are ya.I wish I had the money you put in that banshee. Then again,I wish I had the money I put in mine too.Not bad enough to sell mine though. We all need to meet out at either newport or George's sometime.Which would you guys rather go to?Hopefully I'll have the wheelie bar fixed soon.
  7. A 280 should get you in the ball park.If you don't ride in mud,I would get the pro-design kit w/k&n air filter and get rid of the air lid.I personally like totally getting rid of the air box. You'll have to jet up though.Let that banshee breath.
  8. Are you still using the air lid?
  9. Not for sure, but maybe a bad plug wire.I've never had one go bad on my banshee, but it might be something to look at.Are you getting spark to both plugs?Might check to see what the main jets are.Sounds crazy but make sure they are the same.Make sure the clip on the needles are in the same slot on the needle. My 35mm pwk's have the drain tubes,so I wouldn't worry about that.Maybe someone else will have some suggestions.
  10. I don't think it's your main jet.Are you sure you don't have a fouled plug? The TORS will cause havok on a banshee. It will start all day long, get on the throttle and it will bog.But I doubt you'll ever get any where near topend if they mess up.Make sure you're getting fire to both plugs. These might not be your problem, just something to check.Who is suppose to have done the porting on the cylinders?
  11. It's a waste of money. All it does is get in the way.I'd save my money.Just my opinion. What mods. do you already have?
  12. I eventually hope to get some type of tire, maybe slicks for the banshee.Full throttle launches and old stock tires don't mix.All the power in the world won't help you if your spinning the tires off like I was. Those are some good times on the 450.What kind of e.t.'s do you hope to get when you can get the yfz to hook up.I've also learned not all tracks are the same.Just because they say 1/8th mile, doesn't mean they all are. Some tracks are longer than others. One e.t. at one track doesn't mean you'll run the same at another.
  13. I wouldn't do that.Several of my friends have ported quadzillas, and I never beat them before I got my banshee ported. Now that it's ported and on alcohol, that's a different story.I'm sure you heard the 100 mph story.Blah,blah,blah.
  14. I think Dirtwheels is just plain boring. They are really pushing the 450's.I don't push them,I smoke them. You know what I'm talking about.I would love to see a banshee magazine.Reader's rides would be awesome.Sign me up.
  15. Well it almost here. Are you guys ready?
  16. As long as you get a banshee,we'll let you live.LOL!
  17. Hey superbanshee, that sounds like skip.Well I guess I won't be the fastest anymore at the dragstrip, but I can live with that.Might not be the fastest, but hopefully I won't be the slowest.Would any of you have a better set of tires for drags than my stock banshee tires?
  18. It's located in Paragould,Ar.In the northeast corner of Arkansas. It cost 7 dollars to get in.It's nothing fancy, but it is a place to race. They only tell your E.T.I'm hoping to make it to the Newport dragstrip sometime this year. They will tell your E.T.,reaction time,60 ft.,and maybe your mph.I'm going to St.Joe this weekend, but let me know if you want to go to georges sometime.Any of you going to St.Joe also. There's some fast bikes there.
  19. You guys are partially right. He will let you run during time trials, but not during actual races.I wish he would make a class for us,but don't hold your breath. Please,if you go bring a wheelie bar. They really freak out if you pop a wheelie.I don't know if some moron got thrown off of one out there or what. Also at least bring a helmet. At first they said no.I've been out there twice this year, and no one said anything AFTER they found out I had a wheelie bar. I think they should be more concerned with the crotch rockets. Not that they should ban them, just they are faster than most atv's.One time when I took the banshee,I was told by two different people that I had better not pull a wheelie.Hey,I don't want it on top of me either.I don't think it will be a problem as long as no gets crazy out there, and you got a helmet and a wheelie bar.Remember,It only takes one idiot to ruin it for all of us.
  20. To answer your question, here's what happened on our last trip to Little Sahara. One of my friends has a banshee with Pro-curcuit pipes and clamp-on K&N filters. That's it.My other friend has a YFZ 450 with a K&N filter and a HMF pipe. They were dead even through the gears, but the banshee was a little faster on top-end.I rode the YFZ,and it is a good bike.Very good bike for duning. Now consider the price of a yfz, then compare that to buying a used banshee and with the extra money putting it in the banshee. With that money you could get porting, pipes, bigger carbs. The yfz won't have a chance.
  21. For dirt drags,I'd use either a 4-snow or pro wedge 2's.I use the 4-snows.They are 22-10-8.I bought them from Chaparral.
  22. If all you're going to do is putt though the dunes and enjoy getting beat, get the raptor.I've owned both.I decided to get rid of one of them. The raptor got sold.My raptor had a pipe,k&n,and a wiseco 11.1 piston and was still getting beat by my friends piped banshee. The raptor I had would not have any hope of beating my banshee.Well ok,maybe if the banshee run out of gas.
  23. I'm using 22 in.9 paddle extremes on my 350 ported with alcohol,so I don't think 10 paddles will be enough for you.I'd like to try a 10 paddle on mine.I'd probably use the extremes.Might use an 11 or 12 paddle extreme.
  24. Good job on smoking the honda.Sure they might be better in trails. You're right.A honda will more than likely beat me through the trails, but he better hope we don't reach a straight away.He might like it though.I'm sure they like the taste of dust by now.
  25. Do you think it may be running a little lean?Sounds like it might be to me.
