Yeah, I can tell you that shit won't work up here in MI. The economy here and market here for houses are TERRIBLE....to say the least...people here are taking record losses trying to sell their house, etc. I'm happy to have a mortgage I can afford and a job to do that..

Yep, full metal jacket AND good fellas is another good one. Joe Pecsi and DeNiro have some all time ultimate classics in that movie as well.

Speaking of, and sorry to get off topic a bit here boys....but, do any of you watch that "Flip this house" on discovery channel I think? I live in a suburb of Detroit, lived in MI all my life. I simply can not believe how much some of these dumps sell for in California...blows my mind. Houses out there that go for 500,000 would be sold around here for 1/3 of that...it is cool (and sometimes very funny) to see what houses sell for after the flip, and how much they make (or lose for that matter)... I agree....get rich quick is a scam, and the only ones making money off it are the ones in the commercial you're sending your money to. 50 bucks for literature that costs 10 to make and mail? that's it, I'm getting my own late night commercial for boost bottles.... :yelrotflmao:

You guys don't know what you're talking about...it takes a GENIUS to write and rewrite "dance my puppet" over and over again.... He's Nobel Prize material for sure... :yelrotflmao:

Billet clutch basket - 2 questions

Nice post....good info...Thanks!! -
1 into 2 carbs like a FAT main jet. You're at 2K ele, but 20F.... I'd say start 190 Main, it'll most likely be fat, but work your way down....

www.carbparts.com has 'em too!!!

As does Jeff @ FAST. It really doesn't matter what size Jim uses on his, since every motor is different to a point. He can give you a reference where to start, but...just like jetting...ultimately the end measurement is on you. Moneybags, how exactly are you checking squish, and what squish measurement are you getting? Also...I haven't run across your old post in a while, you checked for leaks and compression, right? You basically use solder, tighten your motor down, slip a piece in the spark plug hole and make sure it is parallel to the piston pin (right to left, NOT front to back) or you'll get a false reading. Kick the bike (by hand) over and it will "Squish" the solder, remove it...and check that for thickness. Try it a few times and average the measurement. If you thread it in and check it front or back, the piston can "rock, or tilt" slightly and will not give you a true reading. RNBRAD has a thread on here I believe on how to check it.... Also, make sure you are purchasing BIG BORE Base gaskets as well...

Billet clutch basket - 2 questions
dajogejr replied to charles_in_houston's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
From what I gathered....UPP makes some damn good clutch basket cushions. I don't know if Hinson makes a basket that doesn't say Hinson on it....it's possible, but every basket I've seen by them had that darkish brown/gray titanium color to it....with Hinson in White Engraved lettering. Cushions are relatively cheap...and since the basket is already off, absolutely no reason not to replace them.... -
To be honest, you're probably safe with 101 octane out of the pump... Mixing 50/50 premium pump and 110 leaded race fuel will pretty much net the same result....but, no mixing coming out of the pump. Some will say you're fine with 160 PSI on straight premium pump gas, I like to err on the safe side. While I won't run race gas in a stock motor with stock compression....I won't take a chance on octane rating to save a few bucks once the compression gets up to 160ish...right where you're at. Race gas is cheaper than a top end any day of the week. Bottom line is listen to your motor and check the plugs very, very closely for the first few rides. Make sure you're getting enough fuel to the motor, or octane won't matter!!! It will tell you if it needs more octane...but, not for long.

Anyone have a rapidshare or megaupload, or sim... account?

When I have a few, I think my provider gives me 100MB of webspace which I NEVER use (I used Gmail as storage...lol) I'll see if I can figure it out for you!!! -
No case mods at all, drop in crank at 4mil. Larger than that, the cases have to be trenched. A longer rod will require different pistons, 795 or stroker series pistons. A longer STROKE will require a spacer plate or the head/domes to be cut since the pistons will be run up into the head... AND....porting and port timings should be matched for the longer stroke, as well....

Pics sent. Again, if you have ANY questions, please ask. I don't want to see anyone waste a trip or think I'm misrepresenting anything!!! Three people interested, first one to show me the money owns it. By the way, the new price is $700 cash to come pick it all up as it sits in the pictures. If you want me to put it together or bring it to you (within 100 miles from 48082) the price goes up!!! -
Won an Ebay auction for misc. bolts (mainly wanted shock and swinger bolts) and drove to his house to pick 'em up. It's all good...thanks Ray.

Holy shit....if that thing had tits and could not only keep my beer cold, uncap/open it and serve it....I wouldn't need my old lady anymore... Shit, that's worth any price...LOL.. Seriously, cool little toy. What kind of parts exactly are you looking for?

I agree with Big Red. Here in MI, I've watched our riding areas get smaller and smaller, many shut down over the last 20 years. And it's not that we don't appreciate you posting it up...but, can you post it in one topic, and as said...I hyperlink to each corresponding area that is effected. When I come on and see that 10 posts in a row by another user, I won't read 'em either....

PM Jankab and gasman. They both have 39mm PWKs setup to run with a fuel pump....

My good buddy gets laid off work freequently, and the ONLY people that call his home telephone are telemarketers. So...he takes full advantage of this whenever they call....I've nearly pissed myself a few times. One called and offered him a mortgage, and asked him how much he owed on his house. (granted, friday night, we all had at least 12 beers in us...so, it was that much better) He told them, after a long pause....39 cents. Kept going on and on... What kind of rate can you give me on that? I want a low interest rate? What do you mean you can't give me a mortgage for that? Let me speak to your supervisor, that's false advertising.... Click...they hung up. Next time, he'll say....you sell mortgages? So do I! what kind of rate do you have? Hey...what's your home number, I'll call you in a few hours to discuss what kind of rates and savings I can do for you.... Click...they hung up. IF they have a business name on his caller ID (i.e. Acme rockets, whatever...) He'll answer the phone with THEIR business name. Hello....Acme Rockets, this is Muktar... No no....you called Acme Rockets, what can I do for you? What? You work for them too...how funny is that. So, which office are you located at? Did you hear about Johnson in accounting? On and on and on.... It is his goal to get them to hang up on him, he gets it done 9 times out of 10....pretty damn funny.

Never see or heard of a twister air filter, got any pics? Yes, the stock intakes have a rubber V on them that actually goes into the motor, these will have to be shaved flat for the VForce to work.

Yep...still for sale, I'd love for you to pick it up locally, Wallace. I'll give you a steal on it. I really don't feel like putting it all back together, it's damn cold in my garage, but...I can. Here's pics of it all. The pro taper bars and mounts are not included, but, I do have a set of stock, straight bars if you want. The front tires (smoothies), Mavin Shaw shocks and rear brakes are not included in the pics, either. For local pickup and cash, I will give you both the stock swinger AND +6 over, two carriers (silver carrier has year old bearings/seals) I can't vouch for the bearings in the black carrier, the arm was given to me by a friend. -
http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=73583 Yeah, I wasn't sure which "general" forum to post it in... Happy B Day again..>Kai!!!!

Time to check if it can be honed and rerung or if it needs a bore. Mine had 110 on it by the end of 05, and it was getting tired. still ran good...but, took about 6 or 8 kicks to fire...and it just didn't have the zing it used to... You're not critical, but...good idea to freshen up!

PM RNBRAD, that guy polishes EVERYTHING...and it looks damn good. He has a thread on here somewhere, do a search...on what he uses to polish different items.
