  1. I think you mean 40mm axle, right?
  2. Um...yeah, I'm thinking you stole those pipes...good for you man!!! They look nice... brady080 has a bad ass Raptor on Meth, that bike is fast and looks killer...
  3. AMen.... I know I can't just jump off my banshee and ride a 4 stroke, I have to take quite a few passes to get the hang of it. They are 100% totally different animals, especially the Raptor and 450R. The YFZ kinda revs out like a banshee, in that aspect, but....the 450R and Raptors are torque monsters. I'm a banshee guy...but I give the 4 strokes their due. Stock vs. stock...or a few bolts ons here and there, they will beat a 20 year old design all day long....(until you port it or go aftermarket cylinders...then there's no comparison.)
  4. How come you didn't go with Barker pipes?? They are F'ing suite...have two buds that have 'em....
  5. Longer arm, more paddle...LOL... Good stuff, Dan!!! Thanks!
  6. He said it was his wifes....LOL... Which means, it's stock...for now. I'd take a 450 over an older 660 raptor, but I'd take the 700 over that. Then again, I already have a drag banshee...so, it would be my duner/backup/trail bike... With the same mods, cams, air filter and pipes, it will beat any 450 with the same mods in a drag race... I'd dare to say the 450 will be a better trail machine due to better ergos and suspension...though.
  7. Unless I'm missing something....when did people start putting domes in stock heads???
  8. Ran 110 octane in my 4 mil cub, A LOT of timing, 110 was fine...it had 185PSI.
  9. Here's what you do. Call or PM Dave Noss. He will easily answer all your questions, it's his product... His name here is dlnoss, and since you found the site, you've got his phone number. Get the info right from the horse's mouth....and Dave's a helluva nice guy to deal with.
  10. Guys...this is a SMOKING deal, 1/2 price...on brand new pipes. These pipes I've read and been told are very comparible to Toomey T5 pipes in power delivery...and the best part is they're stainless, maintenance free. Had to pass this on for members here: http://www.planetsand.com/forums/ubbthread...ge/1#Post649897
  11. Look over on planetsand.com as well.
  12. Seriously dude...as long as the plating is in good shape, that's a HELLUVA price. It is for a 4 mil crank... 421 = 4 mil stroke (58mm) X 68mm bore.... However, I'd like to see some closeups of the inside of the cylinder. From those pics, the plating looks a little rough (Again, from those pics, could be reflection, etc....) Are these ported at all, and if so...by whom?
  13. Before you do anything else, OHM the stator and plug wires/coil. Also...what is your gearing? What kind/size tires? What kind of terrain (dirt, sand, etc.)
  14. I don't think there is enough wall....YOu could bore it and have a sleeve put in, but that's a waste IMO. Stripped and plated....that's the way to go if the nikasil is trashed.
  15. Correct...stock carbs have one choke you pull, and the enrichment circuit of the carbs are tied to each other.... Perfectly normal!
  16. 18 to 19 cc domes.... Put a spark plug in the dome, get a piece of plexiglass, drill a hole in the middle of it (it has to seal all around the dome) Get a graduated syringe, fill it with more than enough water (say, 22cc's) and see how much the dome holds. Put the hole in the center of the plexi so you can seal it to the dome and add water... I run 20cc domes in my 10 mil with about 175PSI.....045 squish.... Really, 165 to 180 PSI and .040 to .050 squish is optimal in my opinion....it's what's worked well for me in the past!
  17. I've used OEM springs for T5's, Bills, FMF, Inframe and out of frame shearers.....you just gotta stretch it....
  18. No. Tell you what...ship me the crank. I'll get it looked at, and give you a price to make it right. You can say yes or no...and the worst case scenario is you're out shipping to me and from me...
  19. I think we all talked about this weekend coming up...the 22nd...but we'll know more when JT gets back with us...
  20. Yep, and it was even more tough for me because I changed a LOT on my bike...I had about 8 to 10 runs per day at Silver Lake this year, both trips before I popped Orings, killed a Stator...and you know the paddle deal... So, it was like having a new bike for the first time all over again!!!! I changed from 4.40 to 4.50 for the buyback race...and I hit a 4.48....go figure...LOL... You game for Brighton if the track is good to go? Hops is 5 minutes from me, we call all roll together....if he's going...
  21. What...you slumming it over here Brady? LOL.... Yeah, I keep kicking myself in the ass for that full throttle pass I made with you on the first round of our "buyback".... I've seen the video a dozen times now, and all I had to do was let out at the end and I had an easy win...you wheelied like hell off the line. I ran my second best pass of the day that run....and I knew I broke out as soon as I crossed the line.... :yelrotflmao:
  22. JJ&A Knockoff... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Bans...sspagenameZWDVW
  23. Nice link... With the exception of turning the idle up 500RPM...that's pretty much the same pilot/air screw info I've posted a few times to help others tune their carbs in. That is one helluva nice write up and very easy to read...
  24. Yeah, 150 sounds more like it...should be a tad higher, but...should be ok. ALWAYS throw new plugs in whenever you do new mods....that's the only way to see where you're at...
