  1. Funny you mention the Predators Stu... A guy we rode with had a TON of money into his, including NOS. Got beat, time and time again...by a stock motor 450R with an HRC kit in it.   2. By track I garner you mean MX style track. Get the YFZ. If you mean drag strip style track...and dunes, then banshee. Behind a buddy's house (fields, etc) MX track....YFZ suited. Dunes and a Drag strip a shee is the way to go...once you put a few bucks into them. Majority rules, depending on what you mean by "track"....
  3. CPIs flow more. To be 100% honest, you could go up on the main, you could need less, it could stay the same. I always start rich and work my way down. I'd go up two on the main....get a few sets of brand new plugs...and get to chopping...
  4. Oil is oil... Unless it's crisco or mazola... 32:1 is fine. Everyone has their own favorite oil to run...so...here ya go...

  9. Kept sealed, room temps...and off the concrete...it's last a LONG time. I've run old meth before... I've got a gallon or so in the bike, and about 2 1/2 left in the can. Probably won't need any for Saturday, but...never know. It's not mixed in the drum already, is it???

  11. Hope you got an override and lockup....cause it ain't gonna shift if not... If you were worried about beating four strokes, a strong dune port on stock cylinders is all you'd need....you went way overkill....
  12. Similar to a power jet. You drill the bell on the carb. You epoxy the jet in...must be sealed. You can either break off the overflow tube in the bowl, or drill and tap the bowl with a barb for a fuel fitting...

Well...they might work fine for piped/jetted Joe trail Rider, but when you advertise a "Stronger than anything you can buy" tensile strength bla bla bla....it should be fine for the high HP drag racing crowd.... Instead, a lot of run of the mil, non-o ring chains work just fine for drags. Big, BIG motor bikes usually go with the 530 chain and sprockets....
  14. I would normally tell you something is wrong...that's HUGE jetting. However, if it has good compression, it passes a leak down test, squish is where it should be....plug chop is next. Question is this... He's got porting, Shearer pipes, and stock carbs? That's like wiping your ass before you shit....it don't make sense....
  15. Are cubs trail friendly part XXXXXVVVIIII No.. When I first built my 4 mil cub last year, I started with T5 pipes and stock carbs. That's about as much as you can choke it down without going to a single pipe/single carb setup. Put the timing at +12, get the compression to about 180PSI...and you absolutely must run full race fuel. That's as much low end and mid-range you're going to get out of that monster....period. And don't listen to the naysayers whine about that't too much timing....as long as your jetted correctly, it's not. Ask badassbanshee479 and bigboybanshee how much better their bikes ran once they ramped up the timing, they'll tell you.....

  18. Yep....SS is the company... Sidewinder is junk. Several big name drag racers have had nothing but problems with their chain, even though they tout the highest tensile strength rating...
  19. Find out exactly what jetting is in the carbs. Stage 2 means nothing. It's probably a little off on the bottom end. What gearing are you running? There are several mods you can do to make a banshee trail worthy..but to be honest...a 450 is a better trail machine.
  20. He runs 500 ft drag racing, and you need that big up front. You can easily take a non-metal chaingaurd and grind/notch it to clear a bigger sprocket. I just figure fuck it. My cases arlready have chain damage... I'll get another set if I crack mine up.... A quality chain, properly maintained and adjusted rarely gets thrown or breaks. Mark...they make Honda rear sprocket hubs so you can go even smaller on the rear sprocket for 1/8 and 1/4 mile... I have one on my Lonestar. I think Honda goes down to 36 or so...whereas you can't readily find smaller than 40 I think for a banshee hub. In a perfect world...you could have a Honda style for smaller gearing, and Yamie style for shorter distance gearing. However, Sprocket Specialists will cut you a sprocket for absolutely anything you can dream up....but, they are PRICEY....and the chick that answered the phone when I called them could use a drop kick to the teeth....
