  1. OK...let's backup just a little... What is your budget overall, is the question. We can give you all the recommendations in the world, but if you're looking at spending 2k and we're piling up 8K worth of mods, it's kind of pointless......
  2. There you go Mark...like just about everything.. Some good, some bad... I can only go by what my fellow racers around have experienced...obviously a small part in the overall scheme of things..
  3. Isn't this the old search page?? http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...ode=adv&f=0
  4. It is still there, just hidden... Click on More search Options, More Options...and it'll be the same search you're used to.

Not until you plan another visit, anywho....
  6. Lee.. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help...
  7. If NYUK doesn't have it...minkia38 will.
  8. You'll get back a lot more low end and midrange punch at the sacrifice of a little top end. You will need at least a mix of race/pump fuel if you get to 160s and 170s...too. Call Jeff @ FAST...he'll have what you need.

Ok fine... So it's a case instead of a 6 pack, is that better?? :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:
  10. Not to sound like a jerk, Tidos..but not many folks "downsize" the carbs. You are probably better off selling them outright and buying a set of carbs. Many people upgrade stockers to 28, and the fact that they're polished should net you a few more bucks... Good luck!!!! In fact, there's a guy in the tech section looking to either get a single 1 into two or a pair of 28s. You might want to hit him up.
  11. Not to sound like a smart ass...but... That's why I said base gasket. As in the gasket at the base of the cylinder...or..the BOTTOM. Thanks for the tip on the Cool Head and Orings...never seen one before... :whistling: Next.
  12. Exactly what I was thinking. Mid .040's will get you where you need to be. Get a thinner base gasket...you probably have a .020 base gasket. Get a .011 and you should be just about perfect.
  13. I think he wants to get rid of the garbage stockers and their design. I'd go a single 33PWK or dual 28PWKs. since you mentioned keeping the same intakes, air box setup...I'd go twin 28s'.

Hey now...I'm only 250, does that make it a case of ass snack pack lite?
  15. Unless these reeds just came out...they aren't as good as VF. Vitos is in Michigan...if they were better than the VF they'd have a very, very quick and good following.
  16. Yeah, aggravating... Lee said he was moving the site to a new server, which was done a few weeks ago when it was down for a few days in a row.

I've got an ass snack pack if you've got the munchies...
  18. Very possible, but the TZ on my 10 mil with stock cut gears hasn't had an issue...
  19. Whlie you're absolutely right, stockers get set to 21mm...it's not easy to measure. Tip the carb upside down, remove the gasket, measure from the gasket surface on the carb to the top of the float (bottom if it were right side up) 21mm is the setting.
  20. Yes. 795 series for the long rod setup.
  21. Flip the carb upside down. The bottom of the float should lay flat
  22. Spray out the needle and seat with brake cleaner.
  23. He needs stockers, the short ones...
  24. That is a very, very open ended question. Yes...you can measure porting based on shape, size and timings on them. By timings, I mean when the port opens and closes in relation to the piston travel. Based on that...builders can tailor a motor for you. Beyond that, it's builder's personal preference...and rarely will two builders agree on one single thing. It's what's worked for them in their experience...
  25. Yep...sold my 400EX on Craigslist last year in 2 days. Guy came from canada to pick it up...cash in hand. Craigslist is the shit yo.
