  1. Firehead knows all about 1 inch of play...listen to him. I do too, my pecker is so short i piss on my nuts!
  2. Set your plate to 4, start in second and learn how to ride out/slip the clutch to control the power. 4 strokes get out of the hole, there is no way around it. Plus they are a lot lighter. Put a 4 over swingarm and learn to ride the bike....and launch it. The line is where races are won. What gearing do you have...
  3. If you did the plug chop properly, as in warm it up on old plugs, put brand new ones in, went from 1 to 5 or 1-6 gear WOT then shut it off, put old ones back in and cut them...then I'd say you're 1-2 sizes rich. That being said...if the bike revs all the way out cleanly and does not feel boggy, etc., then you can leave it. I'd rather be a little safe rich than on the edge of lean/rich.....which, again...if the plug chop was done correctly, you're safely rich.
  4. Do you have the slides in the right carbs and make sure the choke tube is connected between the two as well. Otherwise, you have to unplug ALL the TORS connections.
  5. While I've never personally talked to or dealt with Kevin, I've talked to Jeff @ FAST a lot over the last few years. When Jeff says he can't get your motor back to you in the time frame you want due to his workload and he says call Kevin, that's saying something to me. Butch's little 4 mil stocker runs pretty good up in PA from what I hear, too...
  6. Those pics don't mean anything... Here's how to tell if you can lean the main out or not...those plugs could be rich on the needle, lean on the mains, vice versa...etc. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html
  7. It's Dan Hull...btw, not Dan Hall...Just an FYI!
  8. stock stroke or a 4 mil because the cases aren't trenched.
  9. 513 is the standard banshee series, 06450 is the diameter, 64.50 mm, or....020 over. For every .25mm it is .010 over.
  10. The original poster, slapaho...
  11. 16/39 on my bike still runs out at 500 feet or so. Wait...do you still have all 6 gears, or is this a cut override tranny? What gears does your tranny have?
  12. If this is a long rod motor, you have the wrong pistons...by the way.
  13. Rode this bike in person, with my fat ass...for some simple ported cylinders, it hauls the mail and is worth every penny for this setup.
  14. Stock pipes are awful, 270 to 250 would be a good starting point.
  15. If I bring the A game this early, you won't have anything to look forward to the rest of the day... :yelrotflmao:
  16. I have a skid plate that needs a small piece cut off the front. Pay for shipping, it's yours.
  17. You...missing a mark on any moon...HMMM....
  18. Counterspy is awesome. Windows Defender is about 90 to 95% as good for free. I've had three computers recently, including my own...that Norton detected a Trojan over and over again. Could not remove or quarentine it successfully. I uninstalled Norton, installed NO32 on all of them (FULL 30 day functioning trial)...whaddya know, removed without issue. Several scans and backup online scans (Trend Micro and Panda Scan) said the same thing, no infections. Good enough for me....
  19. I used all his shock bolts no problem, but keep in mind I have a drag bike with no linkage in the back. That being said...I also had a ton of leftover parts because I don't use fenders, front brakes, etc....
  20. What are you talking about you have two options. You have DOZENS of options. Jeff and Jim build fine motors indeed...but that would be like saying I'm only buying a Ford or Chevy....there are tonz of choices out there. As said, in a week or so there is a BIG sand drag race in Louisiana...so, builders are scurrying to get the last little things done. FAST Passion Kevin Herr Flotek A&S RDZ K&T LC Performance Nate McCoy Titan Racing Rudy Kurtz (Port Magic) That is just a quick, short list... I'd wait a couple of weeks till the big race is over and life gets back to normal...give 'em all a call, see what they way, how they treat you, etc. All you're gonna do with this thread is basically get a vote from whos' done work for them. I'd bet most people have not used more than one builder, so...it's kinda hard for them to tell you what another has done for them....they just know the guy that ported their cylinder made the bike faster...
  21. Fastnerguy is the one you want. I bought three kits from him, two for banshees, one for a YFZ. If you are expecting show quality polish, it's not gonna happen. They are polished nicely...IMO. banshe-man is a picky bitch, he wasn't impressed with the "show" polish... Keep in mind, there will be no foot peg bolts, no swingarm bolt, no upper A or J Arm bolt. Other than that...they're a complete kit.
  22. PM Snopcynski....he's the resident 1 into 2 expert....sorry I'm no help there.
  23. This one time, at shop class.... That's what happens when crack heads get their hands on a welder...and have nothing but time....
  24. Do you have Pod Filters...or what is your airbox setup?
  25. If money allows, I would go with PWKs as well. The PJs are very cheap...but I don't like the choke and idle circuit built into one.... The reason the PJs are popular is because they are inexpensive, the PWK is a better carb.
