  1. hi, my banshee seems to have a miss at 3/4 to full throttle, the problem is that its only noticeable in neutral when im lined up at lights ready to race, once i race i dont notice it and it runs great, which makes me wonder if its a jetting issue. i have 4mill stroker, mild port, .50 over, pro circuits, k&n, lid removed, 28pwks, run mostly sea level. ive made a lot of jetting changes and feel im (finally) real close at 150 main, 48pilot, n68a needle on middle clip. it seems to be more of a rpm issue then jetting but i could be wrong. compression 145psi, 94oct,50:1 mix castor 927, +4 timing. thanks very much for any ideas.
  2. i am looking for a stock rear bearing carrier for a 1997 in good shape, how much? thanks... ratman72@hotmail.com
  3. i am running type f atf and it works well but im curious if anyone runs atf+4 (chrysler trans fluid), this is supposed to be one of the best atf's on the market. I know its expensive but i have an unlimited supply so it would be nice if i could run it, any info would be great....thanks
  4. ive had to heat the head b4 to get them out, worked well. Do not heat the stud, just the cylinder, and not much cause aluminum melts quick, just heat the cylinder around the stud
  5. i feel for ya, 3 weeks of playin myself, 4 mm stroke, long rod, 28pwks. Im at a 45 pilot and 155 mains, currently waiting for some needles i ordered and the jjh is one of my selections. n68a is what ive been told works well in the 28pwk. Carb parts warehouse seems to stock a lot, im in canada and i couldnt find anywhere for needles up here. Keep posted how things work out
  6. looking for somewhere to buy jet needles for my 28pwk,s. I live in canada and i cant find anything, I believe the needles are different from other pwk's????????. Any ideas on what needles to use, elevation 600ft, 4mm stroker, trail port, pro circuits, 20cc domes, k&n, no lid. Any suggestions would be great-----------thanks
  7. i had same problem on my pwk 28's, went to a lawnmower shop, he had little clamps that worked perfect (squeeze and release)
  8. i have 4 mill stroker, 28 pwk's, ported jugs by denny at flotek, just one ride one it and it has great bottom end torque and pulls hard all the way through. I ride mostly trails and am very happy with the setup
  9. ok thanks, is a compressoin test a valid way to show that a porting job should work ok? ive got a set of jugs that were professionally ported at a reputable builder, compareing them to others, they are just mildly done, i want to put them on a 4mm long rod motor and kind of curious as to tell how well the port job will match up? Very tough to tell im guessing, thanks again for info
  10. just wondering if there is a way to tell what kind of porting job has been done to banshee jugs, or what kind of combination it would work with,....or a correct way to check port timing?......compression test? thanks for any info on this subject
  11. Thanks for any ideas, motor just new. 28mm pwk, 4mm stroker, long rod, 65mm pistons. No air box lid, k&n filter, cool head, 21cc domes, pro circuit exhaust, ported, intake spacers, pro flow filter adapter, boysen reeds. Altitude- sea level to 1600ft, temps average around 60 degrees f. Im a newbie to the forum and just lookin for a startin point as this is a new combination for me.....thanks
