  1. Weather for this race is going to be PERFECT....can't wait. See you tonight...
  2. Cubs have drag port timings. You can detune them...but you're detuning the nature of the beast. How about a 4 mil cheetah motor with a power valve...if you're looking for more power and a duner...this is a better setup. I can get you a complete motor built, depending on your budget. Can set it up for gas, alky, override, stock tranny, lockup, pretty cases, ugly cases....big carbs, small carbs. Let's start with your budget, what do you want to spend...that will dictate what kind of motor you'll get. I can customize the motor from add your own stuff to ready to bolt in and fire in your frame with your pipes. Let me know.
  3. After using Norton for years and Years, finally got tired of it. I switched to NOD32 from Eset over a year ago...and never looked back.. More updates, not as process hungry, can detect AND delete permanently things Norton would only catch...some time. Go to newegg.com and order the OEM version for 29.99 and free shipping, it's good for a year. Between NOD32 and Kaspersky, they are consistently rated the top two antivirus solutions by non-bias testing. I know you have adware....NOD32 will get rid of it. It's a fully functional trial for 30 days.... I use Sygate (Hard to find now a days) as my software firewall, and am behind a router as well... It's a layered protection approach...and sensible browsing/email habits as well...
  4. I have the cheapo RS timing plate and I can adjust it without removing the flywheel... Open end 10mm wrench... I like the trinity idea, and 10 degrees of timing advance (-5 to +5 I assume) is fine for Joe Average trail rider....but not enough for the racers... I'll be getting rid of my RS Plate and getting a billet chariot plate in the next few months....
  5. The ONLY time you will need it is if you drag race or some other form of organized racing requires it. Asphalt guys have to have one, if the bike overheats, instead of dripping coolant onto the track, it will go in the catch bottle... And a lot of asphalt tracks will only let you run water in the cooling system....
  6. Yep...and then throw them both out. Had to do this to a year old Ricky Stator flywheel (probably a good thing) and a brand new puller....
  7. Ebay it...you will get your asking price....
  8. JT's bringing his RDZ small bore. So...I'll have both styles to try. I'm going to calm my timing down, try two sets of pipes, and try less weight on the clutch just for giggles.... Oops...let all my secrets out. LOL.
  9. Awesome JD... Got a local guy (literally 3 miles away) that I'm going to have do my wheelie bar to match the bike. If he can not get the color very close, I'll hit you up. It's just a lot of gas to drive and see ya homie just for a bar...
  10. I'm taking Newtz's big bore pipes Shayne... Why don't you run JT's small bore RDZ until he's done with them, then borrow his BB Shearer pipes??
  11. Like I said.... Toomey also didn't know what a cub was and couldn't give me a spec on his needle. What this really means is this: I spent so much testing and R&D time on a stock motor, I really don't know how it'll perform on a ported one...so, I'll put my disclaimer in the website. They work fine on ported motors....
  12. Is this RB Porting out of Laingsburg, MI? If so...I agree. Bob does nice work, I've ridden a motor done by him for a friend that lives in Canada...it was a stout little motor!!
  13. I'm staying Thursday and Friday night. Depends on how late we race/run Saturday.. I have to be home by 7 or 8 AM Sunday....
  14. Nate would be proud of your zip tie collection... Jeff...you get the goods yet?
  15. I'm planning on going out Thursday night...we'll be roped off, no worries. Gonna try for the same spot (as close as we can get...) I'm bringing a set of small and big bore to try out...I'm going to start off with the smalls. Both sets are one out each side.... I gotta call Brady later to make sure that's the deal. WIll let ya know...
  16. True and weld within spec is fine.... I've never seen a crank for one of these bikes "Balanced"...nor have I see a failure related to it not being balanced. I've seen plenty damaged from the webs coming apart from not being welded...
  17. Friday can not get here any sooner. Weather is looking good right now...
  18. Everyone says T5s for a ported motor... Yet I'd bet 98% of those people never owned T6 pipes or tried them on a ported motor. Stuart Toomey builds a nice pipe, but outside of that, he doesn't know shit. I talked to him a few years ago, didn't know what a cub was and couldn't tell me the spec on a Dynoport needle (one that comes in his perfect jetting kit) He just said Dynoport cut it for him...uh, ok. Get T5 or 6, whichever you can find the best deal on...
  19. Kimbo Slice got his ass handed to him... I think the Gina fight and the Arlovski fights were pretty good... The only thing that Miami Delinquent opened was a can of smelling salts...got stunned by a JAB???? IF Kimbo would've had a good showing, Xlite XC stood a fighting chance... Who in the right mind is going to finance that operation after their posterboy got KTFU by a UFC nobody? He should go back to being the toughest guy at the back yard BBQ...and to YouTube fame. What a joke...
  20. Without a doubt homie.... I was just saying new vs. new.... I'm in the same boat with CDI and stators. I'll buy used OEM from here on out!!
  21. If you're just putting around...pull the clutch. When I warm the bike up...I let it run for a minute...then go for a quick ride probably 1/4 to 1/2 throttle and run through 2 or 3 gears, no clutch.... It's dunable...use it however you want to be honest. All I'm saying is if you rev it to the moon, let off the gas and let the motor slow the bike down (in other words, you don't pull the clutch in) it will wear shift forks faster...no big deal. You'd have to do it excessively... So other than that, ride it however you want.
  22. I put around to the staging and on the return lane in 1st. I try to stay on the gas lightly, but I let off, get back on...etc. You'll be fine. Now if you wound 1st or second all the way out...let off the gas and didn't pull the cluth in EXCESSIVELY...you'd probably wear the forks a little sooner...but you'll be fine.
  23. There is...buy an override...
  24. That price is now 1895...not a deal.
  25. I think an OEM coil from Yamaha (I wouldn't touch a Ricky stator Coil) is 100 to 150 bucks... A Nology with wires is about the same...
