Great...I can see it now...Tyler, assume the position. NO...NOT THAT POSITION....LOL. Put that night stick away.. I fractured my foot about 10 years in 5 spots...some whoops pinned in 4th on my CR didn't agree with me. Still hurts now and then, oh well...the price we pay. That DEA/SWAT training is not easy...but damn it opens your eyes... Good luck to ya.

In my opinion, 350 mains are WAY fat for still running an airbox, regardless of the temps.320 to 300 would be more in line. Your pilot is fine, turn the air screws in 1/2 turn. Check compression just for the heck of it...but, normally if it's worn...it'll be real tough to start warm or cold.

Oil ratio is like buying a car...everyone has their opinion. I think J has enough meth bikes to know what works. I've been running 28:1 for the last two years with Klotz. Methanol makes a hotter and more explosive power stroke. Trail pipes will hold more heat than a drag or OOF pipe. If it were me, I'd try to clean the insides of the pipe. Some kerosene, diesel, etc. in the pipes, tape the ends off and swoosh it around, see if you can get some of the gunk out. What kind of compression are you running? Lastly...take some methanol/oil out of the tank and put it in a clear cup. If you can see white strings in it...it's bad.

As long as it's a stock stroke crank, no. 795 series is made specifically for the 5mm longer rod by moving the wrist pin location 5mm closer to the deck of the piston.

Cub leaking from base gasket?!?!?

That is how they're cast Butch...not too many options as to how they're made. -
Damon Bradshaw used to be great at that... He would just flat out come into a corner and use YOU as the berm...LOL. I miss the good old racing when any one of 5-10 guys can win. Since the MC era...it's been one dominant guy and they'd win 80% of the races. Check out after 5 laps... It was really cool back in the day to watch racing Saturday and Sunday at the Silver Dome.... RC did pretty well at Moto De Nations as well, beating some of the world's best. There are so many up and comers that never did win a championship after they came up to the big bikes... I always like K-Dub. I figured him and RC coming up through the ranks together and dominating the Amateurs would be for good racing... But he either runs top 3 or finishes near the back. He's another smooth as silk rider...

I didn't have to grind them down on mine, and they have a hex head to install them. As said...check fitment. -

Take the cylinder to a hardware store. I believe they're 1/4 NPT pipe thread, not 100% certain. Yeah, you need those plugs. -
MC was the greatest supercross rider of all time...but when you combine indoors and out...RC beat him easily hands down. I'm pretty sure MC only won 1 title outdoors on the big bikes. Not only did RC do it more times, he also had two perfect seasons on two different brand bikes. That may never be done again...where MC was smooth and boring to watch, Ricky made up for with hard work and riding on the ragged edge of control. I liked watching RC ride better than MC's style...

I was wondering if you adjusted the air/fuel ratio properly for each setup. Too many times people just swap parts, make runs (not saying you did...just saying)

Yep..or RTV. And they need to be flush with the bottom of the cylinder as well, if not a little bit turned in or countersunk. -
Are you asking me or telling me you currently have the CDI that close to the Nology? If you get interference from the CDI to coil, it could start tough, bog, miss in the upper RPMs...and it feels like the jetting is off.
-
I might add... If you ever upgrade your CDI or Coil, not a good idea to have them that close together. A Nology coil OR Dyna CDI can cause interference with each other if placed that close together. I keep mine in the back...I cut my stock rear plastics off, but left the little bit between the subframe rails. I have a LARGE velcro strip holding mine in. If it goes...I can swap it out in a minute. I've learned to keep spare Sator, CDI and coils in the tool box.... My harness is cut to nothing, I have a set of wires going to the CDI under the seat, my kill switch, coil wires and those going to the Stator. And and extra ground. That's it.

4-0 Preseason champs. 0-16 Regular Season Imperfection.... Lions Baby!!! LOL.

A few things. If Stewart stays healthy, he's going to mop up. Once he learns to ride 105% instead of 110% (which RC had to do after a few years on the big bikes) he'll figure out going fast the whole main event will keep him healthy and winning races instead of going faster and ending up on his ass. There is no one in his class that has his sheer speed. Talent yes...but not speed. After gong to Supercross for more than 20 years, this year is going to be weird. They used to be at the Pontiac Silverdome (hell, they used to have doubleheaders, Saturday and Sunday racing), then Ford Field...now no event. That's fine, after last years event I vowed not to go down there again anyways. It's such a mess. To be honest...Supercross and Motocross are missing the battle out aspects the sport used to have. We haven't had that kind of battling since before the MC era... MC was past his peak when the torch was passed to the GOAT (RC), Reed is fast...but when RC was healthy, he just was no match for him. RC was on his way out when Stewart started dominating... I still like the Jeff Stanton, Bradshaw, Ward, Lechien, Cooper, Bayle...era. Those guys banged bars for 20 plus laps... It wasn't that pull a huge lead in 5 laps and check out. Back then was racing. Before those guys it was Bailey, Johnson, O'Mara..... Granted, Emig and MC had a few battles....but nothing like those guys used to. The sport is more PC now and not nitty gritty...good action like it used to be in my opinion...
-
IMO...it's going to be a few things. Annoying that the front end comes up and unable to shift for shit under full throttle without a dunable override and lockup. My opinion is find a cheap/used 4 over to 6 over... or get yourself some afflack.
-
Ditto. The key is to tighten them down in a star type sequence to get nice even pattern. I usually do mine all at 15, then 20, then 22.... I'm picky about that shit though..

How did you insert, seal and tighten the 4 plugs on the other side of the cylinder (intake side)?? -
Where's the AF Charts?
-
Yep...that's all you need. I don't know what kind of hardware stores you have where you're at, but I'm sure you can find something comparable. To be honest, after two seizures....and properly checked clearances, I would be splitting the cases and checking the lower end, checking the crank and getting it trued and welded.
-
Out of those choices...I would go 10 mil cub or 10 mil DM. If you're going to do case boring and trenching (super cub) to the rest of the route and get a DM.

I'm getting all kinds of PMs about this guy. Apparently, the HQ thinks very fondly of him.
-
Oh for sure. Ported banshee setup and tuned right...it's no contest. I was under the impression this was a bolt on mild bike.
-
I agree.. Those LTR 450s' are an animal with just a cherry bomb, screen removed and an air filter. The biggest problem out of the box with those is the 18 inch tires. Great for MX. Crap for anything else... YFZs are no joke, and you all know me as a banshee man as well. But those results don't sound right...
