  1. Constant Fucking Maintenance.... The key is as said, clean them immediately after use...dry them..and WD 40 with a towel. The moisture rusts them out.... Raw pipes look bad ass....they are just a pain to maintain. Keep them clean and oiled....you'll be fine. If you get lazy...you'll pay the price. It's most critical near the cylinders. They get the most heat there, and are most prone to getting the mud, dirt, oil, etc. baked onto them.... Now how about some damn pictures???
  2. He's about 130ish based on the pics I've seen of him. And the times are correct for Tuesday and early Wednesday...as well as Saturday. So...based on that, you're a minimum solid 50lbs (yeah, I know I said 130...I'm giving you some benefit of the doubt), Jamie Lewis has been riding for years...and I'm pretty sure K&T makes these bikes FLY!!! You still think you're just gonna jump on it and lean it out...AND take off 2 tenths? Sorry...ain't happening. I weigh 250ish. I run 4.3 very consistently on my bike. I will run a 4.2 here and there on a clean track, solid run, etc. My good buddy Brady080 rides my bike (very good rider) he's 200 lbs. He will turn consistent 1 to 2 tenths better than me. Same day, same track, same state of tune. Frank is 20 to 30lbs lighter than Brady, will turn 1 to 1 and a half tenths faster than him, consistently. I've had 3 people turn 3.9's on my bike in MI. a 125lb rider, and two 160ish lb riders. I KNOW this might not sit well with some...but....I would put Frank's skill level up there with Jamie Lewis. He took 2nd place in three different classes on three totally different bikes at Planet Sand this year. You don't get lucky 3 times. I'm bringing all this up because I don't want you to get false hope based on keyboard racing. These are true facts and real numbers. Anyone of the guys I ride and race with will back this up...they've seen it too. That is a very nice looking bike...no doubt. I'm sure it runs good. I'm sure you'll be very happy with it. But no one just jumps on a bike and goes 3s....it's not that simple.
  3. You sure that's not a 0-575cc class bike? Jamie Lewis (K&T Rider) won second in that class. And again...ask him what day he ran those times...and did he back it up within 1.5%? My bike turned a 3.76. It was a class record...Charlie Ohton signed my cylinder. Then they retracted it because there were light and timer issues. The first day (Wednesday) and Saturday's times were legit. You show me a time slip from one of those days...it's legit. And.... Jamie has been doing this for years...are you as light as him? Do you have the experience he does? What has it turned at other tracks?? (Thanks Chase...)
  4. You can ride the bike like normal... you NEED the clutch to take off, obviously. Based on the way the gears are cut, I would not advise downshifting without the clutch. If Loco is doing it...fine, I don't feel comfortable doing that...nor do I have the need. The gears are cut in order to engage the next highest gear....under full throttle with no clutch, they're not cut to downshift. I pull the clutch to downshift mine...
  5. IF that bike is a 10 mil cub, and competes in the 0-475twin limited class and ran 3.6 it would've RAN AWAY with the class. It didn't. It didn't take 1st (Dillon Hinkie on a Donnie Rawls built, Titan maintaned 7 mil cub did) and it didn't take second (MY BIKE did, 10 mil cub cleaned up by me with Frank Pizzo riding it, stock cut chassis....) The winning times were high 3.7s...and again, the 3.7s my bike ran were not accurate. So...your bike was 3rd or worse. And if it ran 3.6's....it would've easily won that class by a tenth. If that is a K&T bike (it has K&T on it and their jockey rode it) don't you think they could've figured how to lean it out to get two tenths and SMOKE the competition and win a LOT of money? No 10 mil cub without Nitrous or other power adder ran 3.6 at Planet Sand. Period. Please prove me wrong. Sorry for Fing up your for sale thread Chase...but...just think of the hits this will get....ROFL
  6. K&T's jockey rode the bike, you just bought it...never drove it...and you're gonna lean it out and pickup 2 tenths. RIIIGGGHHHTT... Bring the bike to Planet Sand this year....I'll be there. We wont' be in the same class, but I'll happy to race you in index or bracket classes ...or try to get a Test and Tune run. If you want to run for money...bring it, we'll run in bracket or index...we'll see how far you can go. Bring that craptor too... What do you mean you'll get the time slips from your Raptor this weekend? I thought it already ran a 3 something in 340feet. Where are those slips???? (And by the way....if you're going to fight the war for us, our country....thank you. It is a Thankless job, we can race our bikes and have the freedoms we have because of soldiers like you. So all racing and challenges aside...thank you.)
  7. LOL....ha ha ha ha ha... Just lean it out and pick up 2 tenths huh? Damn...I guess I should try that. 3.60s is WAAAYYYY different than 3.4s..you need a wee bit more learning before making a statement like that....
  8. First off...you're on a banshee site...get over yourself. I want to see this turbo raptor's time slip from a known track with a 300 foot time...not some 340 backyard track. Who the hell runs 340 feet? This bike you're buying....the twin banshee bike...what have YOU run with it. Not what did it run at PS...what did you run with it? That number doesn't mean shit until YOU OWN THE BIKE and it does those numbers with you or a jockey on it. YOUR BIKE. And..when Big Red posts a video of HIM doing 3.7 on that bike with HIM on it...then I'll believe it. In the previous owner's hands...I'm more than certain it was capable....but again...run the bike yourself at the track...then come back with a time slip. I can post time slips all day of what a bike "I'm gonna buy" has run....or a bike I bought ran this in someone else's hands.... Or better yet...my bike beat a bike in the dunes or at Uncle Bob's house in the backyard...and he said he had a 3.8 second bike...so, that means mine must be a 3.7 bike.... And before you say something about what a bike ran at Planet Sand...my little 10 mil cub ran a 3.78 and 3.76 at Planet Sand with a 160lb rider....and the times were not legit due to a the lights/timing issues they had there. Any times from the first day or Saturday are legit...so keep that in mind... If you're gonna come here and talk, bring proof.
  9. His work does speak for itself. But you two assclowns think you know better. Took a perfectly good running bike...and fucked it up because neither of you have a clue on what the fuck you're doing. You two couldn't tune a 5HP Briggs and Stratton. You guys have absolutely zero creditability here. None. This all started from little red riding hood and gregbj picking up a good running drag bike....red running his vag lips about what a shithole Kansas is, how he's gonna make this S.L.O.W. bike fast, etc. These dipshits bought a drag bike and made it into a duner...and still probably haven't gotten it to run right since gregbj keeps asking how to set shit up. If RedNoodle racing had a clue....he wouldn't have to ask so many questions. And even after he's run his mouth time and time again...Jeff STILL offered to help him with setup. Just too stupid and ignorant...period. Luckily, stupid usually hurts....you two are more than due. Did you ever think he carries stuff because people ask for it? You can tell someone till your blue in the face that it doesn't work...etc. They will still ask for it. So that being said...(and this is probably where you're lost because it deals with business...) wouldn't you rather sell them an item than have them get the same thing down the road. Thousands of boost bottles are sold every year. It's pretty standard fare that they don't do shit. Why should he miss out on his piece of the pie.
  10. Red and White Setup....you guys got some damn good taste.... Purely a coincidence my new truck matches... LOL. Powdercoater called my red Translucent red...it has a Chrome base.
  11. You forgot to ask if these were special or magical trails...found only where he rides.... Most competent engine builders will tell you keep the carbs small for trail motors...even with some stout porting. 28PWKs or 30mm OKO knockoffs would be my choice as well.
  12. Word... Problem is...you'll want one for you trail she next. It ruins shifting normal again....
  13. ON a small cub, gas motor, IMO...yes. If you're gonna dune with it. If it was a flat out drag and/or methanol motor, I'd say go 39.
  14. Since you're having someone port your motor, ASK THEM what they recommend. They will know how to balance and best complete your setup.... If you've talked to someone porting your cylinders and they DIDN'T ask what kind or riding you'll be doing, find another builder.
  15. 15 to 20K....easily. From purchase price, to different engine builds, frames...etc. That doesn't account for what I've swapped, sold, etc. from build to build...easily saved a few thousand there. It is very depressing... I write off this stuff for taxes...but when you do buddy/buddy cash swap parts deals, that gets lost due to no paper trail.
  16. You answered your own question regarding the springs.... Billet or stock...they can go bad. However, the billet basket is a harder metal, so it's more resistant to notching like a stocker...and the ears are stronger.
  17. Bam...anyway you can shrink that signature pic? That thing literally takes up the whole screen!!!
  18. 35PWK or 38mm Lectron. Mikunis are fine carbs....but, other than stockers...I have really no experience with them. So...hard for me to recommend them...
  19. Well...here's the worst part.... If you tell him he's on way too good of drugs, he'll tell you it retails for 500 to 600 new at a dealer...and he's correct. I think too many people underestimate the stock banshee pipe market...it's booming... NOT...
  20. Bellicose...I don't blame you. The thought of pissing away thousands to save a few hundred has never sit well with me either. I've been lucky on my last two cub motors to have a good friend help me, and he's done quite a few of them. I put my faith in him when he said straight cuts weren't needed...throw a good PTO bearing on there, and you're fine. 2 years and a LOT of runs later, he hit the mark with me. I would LOVE to have a spring loaded hinson and straight cuts. Now that I'm gonna spray it with 30 some time this year....that might be one of the next things on the list.... That setup is very nice...enjoy!!
  21. You can get 40mm bearings for a stock carrier... The two biggest advantages are easier/cleaner chain adjustment AND NOT having to worry if the axle is straight/true or not. As long as the swingarm is built in a quality jig by a competent fab/welder, you can't have the left or right side more off set than the other.
  22. Please tell me what you've accomplished? You put a mid range and trail pipe on your bike to climb dune hills and sand pits. On a high strung aftermarket cylinder...that again, was designed for drag racing. I'm not a powers that be...I'm just trying to figure out what you feel you accomplished by taking a high strung cylinder, and again...removing it's balls? I still say anyone can come out there with a well ported set of stockers and do the same exact thing if not better. If you want to talk about what you've accomplished...please tell us what those accomplishments are. I am up for an informative discussion in any thread....but when you misjudge me and call me out, I too am equally strong willed and outspoken and I will not stand by the sidelines like I don't know WTF I'm talking about.
  23. Please let us know what those site are so we don't make the mistake of going to them. I'm sure I'm in the majority here that we don't need to come across a site that tolerates your dumb ass, let alone give you responsibility of any kind. Unless it's Sesamestreet.com or FUZZYREDNUTSINMYMOUTH.COM....you are perfect for them. Glad Jeff pointed that out... You know of a story that Jeff said something about a member, but....you don't know both sides. That statement right there....is reason for anyone that reads this to realize what a joker you are...
  24. When the RS, ProDesign and Trinity timing plates were the only game in town....RS was a pretty easy choice based on cost/performance. However...with Chariot being half the price of the pro design, 15 more than a RS...I'll be picking up a Chariot billet plate over the winter. That being said... If you're going to one stop shop with Jeff, all that shipping is combined...so...the RS Plate is a stellar deal.
  25. Posting a picture will DEFINATELY help sell.... photobucket or imageshack.com are the easiest ways I know of...
