  1. Definately good! Lighten the flywheel and advance your timing if you haven't done that as well. You will definately feel the difference!
  2. If there not gone - I could use those!
  3. Guys, I just bought these off ebay last week. I thought they would match the color of my '04 frame but they don't. The color of the bars are a bit lighter. They still have the stickers stuck on them. Like I said, they are new. I took them out of the package, matched them next to my frame, and then put them back in the package. They are the red anodized aluminum with the crossbar and Fly pad. It would cost me more to return them then to sell them here. I want $40 shipped. I can send you a picture of them if you give me an email address. john
  4. I was doing the same thing. I am going to try some kenda v-blade paddles. The made for snow tires look like they would work great but I think some sand tires might work great as well just because of the taller blades.?
  5. nevermind, a little screwdriver did the trick with no harm
  6. I disconnected my clutch cable but I cant get the damn thing out of the lever! What the hell is the deal? What's the trick?
  7. Yes, I did do a search! And what I found was old and mixed information. So I am asking. I have a new perch on the way and I bought a block off plate. I am a bit confused. Do I unplug the wires from the little black box or will that leave an open circuit and f up my tors. If one of you pros could give me a brief explanation, I would appreciate it. john

  9. I am looking for a buddy of mine. If you have some for sale, send some pics with price to: [email protected] thanks, john
  10. I want to remove my parking brake garbage. I have read that I will need a new perch. Where can I get one? thanks john
  11. It's a gamble. Get as much info on the car as possible such as car fax. Use your gut instinct. my .02
  12. I saw it last night. My new all time favorite. I was a little skeptical being such a huge Dukes fan growing up but this movie was just awesome. Gotta love that General Lee rippin shit up!! Not to mention the bod on Jessica! Damn!
  13. That's crazy! Do it yourself. While you are saving lots of cash, you will also learn alot. I did all of those myself and I did not have a clue when I started, now all that shit is easy stuff. Get a Clymers. And ditch the billet timing plate and buy a normal one. That will save you 60 bucks right there. Anyway, thats what I think. Dont be scared to rip into it.
  14. I like the look of awe and respect I get when I pull into a riding area with a bunch of 4 pokes around. They like to watch!
  15. It is hard to do but I have done it without an impact. You will need a strap wrench and an extra set of hands. Have someone hold the flywheel tight as they can with the strap wrench and you take your socket wrench and a big mofo breaker bar and giv-r hell. ( My breaker is like 4 feet long ) Use the reverse process for putting it back on using a torque wrench. It can be done, just do it!!
  16. I'll bet God has a killer banshee. And he rides cloud dunes!
  17. I would say do a search and put some time in researching every pipe. Consider what type of gain you want and where you really want your powerband to come on and go from there. Also consider future mods because certain pipes will work differently with mods such as porting.
  18. I would recommend it. But if I were you I would also lighten the flywheel and advance the timing +4 while you are at it. These are easy small mods that you can definately feel in the seat of your pants. Do a search. pm Boonman
  19. Give out an address. I would be willing to bet someone might be nice enough to pay the a-hole a visit. Nothing worse than being screwed, especially when it has to do with the banshee!

  21. Make sure both vent tubes are not clogged. I recently had this problem but my dumb ass wrapped the rear vent hose around my boot clamp while putting the carbs back on after jetting. just a thought
  22. Buy a 5.0 and watch all your z28's you wish you had fly by! Ok I may be a little partial to the z28. I would stick with the good advice you got here and do not buy anything with alot of mods. And I would look for an older LX model with the 5.0. They should be cheaper but maybe a little harder to find. They were also lighter than the GT I think off the floor and quicker. Hold out till you find a good one...

    fattys

I want some fattys, chrome and in good shape. Not old gold series, fattys. One more attempt before I break down and buy new. Thanks guys
  24. I did a plug chop today and my plugs have a very faint ring that is within the 2-4 mil range but it has this arc on them as well that is probably 4 mil long and 4 mil high and it is dark colored. Wondering if that is normal. I went through the gears at wot and held it for about 3-4 seconds in 6th. Do I have it pinned long enough? I do kill it and roll to a stop as well.
  25. That blows. I would enjoy catching someone in the act of stealing my shee, I would shoot them in the knees.
