  8. I am in the process of just breaking this thing in. Literally just going through my first tank. I just got done changing out the jets from 200 to 220. I have not got a chance to run it out though. First jett job. I'm so proud. Does anyone think I should change anything else besides the mains after switching them? thanks again
  9. I just bought a new '04 banshee. It is running like crap. It is butt cold. (10 degrees) Everything is stock w/200 jets. And I am running a 32:1 mix. I think that it is running rich because my plugs are black and constantly getting too wet to run. My exaust is spuing out a heavy wet black gu when I do get it running. It will run for a little while but I think that it floods itself out. Any advice? Please keep in mind that I am new to this machine but am learning quickly about it so throw anything out there. thanks
  10. A friend and I just bought a couple of new '04 banshees. We are new to this 2 stroke thing and need to know what oil and what ratio. And we wont be using amsoil. At least not right now. When we brought them home they ran like crap. Sputtering, backfiring, and not much power. The dealer had the tank half full and I am sure it was pretty rich. The manual suggests 24:1 with the yamalube. We want to get away from that for price reasons. Now if we switch to a different brand, what mix should we use? Also, do you have to run these rich for the break-in period? Is synthetic okay to use? Another question, It is butt cold here in minnesota, is it okay to ride them in the cold? Thanks for any help!
