  1. A Banshee engine weighs under 100 pounds, while an R1 engine, depending on the year will weigh any where between 418-448 pounds. That's a helluva weight difference.
  2. If everything else is right on it, your hard starting issue when it's cold sounds like it's too lean on the pilot jet.
  3. In colder temps you'll need a bigger main, not a smaller one, unless you want to burn it up. Colder temps=bigger jets, and warmer temps=smaller jets.
  4. Stock Mikuni bowls, and no it hasn't been dyno'd. I ride at Little Sahara State Park in Waynoka, OK, so it's sand. It's also got CPI inframes on it. It's more of an all around bike. Not just drag, or not just play, or not just trails. It's set up for the type of riding I do, and I'm very happy with it. Pro mod trans by CamATV, and he also put the motor together. He went completely through the trans, did some work on the cylinders, replaced the crank bearings, and a few other odds, and ends.
  5. I've got a dual Pingel feeding two 34mm Mikuni's on a 421 Driveline high port, and it's not starved for fuel by any means.
  6. I'll take one in a size L for my premium membership.
  7. The same needles with work with both the Q-2, and Q-0 dump tubes. Buy the Q-0 dump tubes, put them in, and then work on the rest of your jetting.
  8. Get some Q-0 needle jets, or dump tubes to start off with. I'm running these same carbs, and they will be way rich, and not run for shit, until you replace the dump tubes with the Q-0's. https://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/58613-34mm-mikuni-flat-slides/
  9. I just bought one from here, and you can make some color choices. https://motoseat.com/c38-atv

  11. Have you checked it for air leaks? It's lean, or the idle wouldn't be hanging. Pressure test that engine, and if it's sealed up good, then start rejetting the carb.
  12. What jets are in the carbs, mains, and pilots?
  13. Here's one of the best clutches you can run. It worked well in a 4 Mil Stroker on stock cylinders, and that same clutch is now being run with my Driveline HP cylinders. https://farmandsandtoys.com/ocart2/atv/yamaha/banshee/fast-clutch-kit-heavy.html?filter=47
  14. Those 22" rear tires with stock gearing is what is killing your low end power. Drop the counter shaft sprocket to a 13 tooth, and it'll be much better.

  16. Had a similar issue with mine, and it ended up being a failure of the seal between the case halves at the back of the crankcase/front of transmission. I wouldn't ride it, or start it anymore, until you find the leak, and get it fixed. I got lucky, and didn't tear up stuff, but that was very unlikely occurrence. Your chances of tearing up a bunch of shit, and costing you big money are really high, if you keep on riding it/starting it without finding out what's wrong, and getting it fixed.
  17. I'm using the same cable that is used with the TORS eliminator kit on mine.

    some jokes

Buckwheat and Darla were in school and the teacher asked Darla, 'How do you spell 'dumb'?" Darla says, "d-u-m-b, dumb." The teacher says, "Very good. Now use it in a sentence." She responds, "Buckwheat is dumb." "Now spell 'stupid'." Darla says, "s-t-u-p-i-d." The teacher says, "Very good. Now use it in a sentence." Darla says, "Buckwheat is stupid." Then the teacher calls on Buckwheat and asks, "Buckwheat, spell dictate." Buckwheat stands up and says, otay, "d-i-c-t-a-t-e, dictate." The teacher says, "Very good. Now use it in the a sentence." "I may be dumb and I may be stupid, but Darla says my dictate good!"
  22. Just replace the float needles, and seats. I had the same issue years ago, and that's what it took to fix the problem.
  23. You should unscrew each plug boot from the wires, cut about 1/4" off of each wire, and put the boots back on. If that doesn't do it, replace the plug boots.
