  1. He said it way to rich with Q-2 tubes. Said to replace with Q-0.
  2. Gentlemen, I searched. Need help getting in the ballpark for jets for the TM34mm carbs. They are new. Stock cylinder sleeved, 68mm pistons, TM34mm, 18cc cool head, fmf pipes. Any help appreciated. TIA.
  3. Ok, Glad I came here and asked questions. Can you even come close to 392 on stock cylinders with the hot rods crank and bore increase? Why run 34mm carbs on a stock engine? Was going to sell it (all of it) for $1200. May have to rethink the price. I live in 60453.
  4. Both carb sets come with the engine. It has been sitting for years. It needs a bath. Its a 392, can't change that. My brother built it, he said long rod. The whole Banshee is being sold, I just wanted an estimate on the engine. Its for sale to anyone. The guy that bought my jetski last night saw it and started asking questions. Just trying to get my ducks in a row. Thanks guys.
  5. I do. Missing the front radiator plastic. Brand new 34mm carbs as I think it has a high RPM lean condition due to a chip in one of the D-slides, included. Sorry about the long rod comment as that is what I was told. If the pics dont load, I am sorry I just cant find a link to attach them. http://i63.tinypic.com/20apd1v.jpg[/IMG
  6. Gentlemen, I am going to sell my Banshee. Can someone help me determine the value of the engine alone? Please no 'what ever someone will pay for it' comments. I simply don't know. The description follows. 392 CUB. WSM piston 68mm. 34mm D-Slide. Hotrods crank long rod. K-N filter. Cool head, 18cc domes. Hinson/Barnet basket/clutch. It runs fine. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.
  7. Mine is running as of yesterday. I would like to attend. I am a total newbie and quite frankly it scares the crap out of me. Rode it for the second time today up and down the street, it's violent. Not much to look at but it pulls hard. If I go, it will be a weekend event. I'll be looking for a camp or hotel. Monitoring the thread.

  9. All, I have acquired an '87 392 bore (Cub?) stock stroke, FMF Fattys, Cool Head (18cc), 700 ft elevation, stock reeds, race gas, unit that ran well with 34mm D-Slide carbs for a number of years. It was equipped with 220 mains and 22.5 pilots. Unfortunately one of the slides was chipped badly (upon removal) and they need to be replaced to get it running again. To this end, I have received new 34mm Flat Slides. They ship with size 280 mains and 50 pilots. I am sure you all know this already. My questions begin with, are the carbs similar in that the circuit settings will be close being that they are both Mikuni and 34mm? I see that the main jets appear to be the same type and transfer between the two carbs. The pilots do not, different types. I will need to order new ones. Again, if anyone is familiar with this setup, will the same jet sizes be applicable with the new carbs? I did go through the BDT and it wasn't very definitive. I also looked at the 'fill out this form' page and didn't see an answer. If anyone has a suggestion, thanks in advance.
