  1. I'm pretty particular when it comes to polishing and cascade does as good a job on any part than can possibly be done. There prices are very reasonable as well. They have a catalogue with all their polishing prices, might have them send you one.
  2. You have to weigh the benefits and disadvantages of piston types, ie forged (wideco) and cast (pro-x). For me it's like this. I'm not going to put a lockout clutch on a stock banshee or 35mm carbs, there's no reason and it creates a disadvantage. But there comes a point in motor mods to where the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Same way with cast and forged pistons. I would not run a forged piston on a stock stroke motor unless you were running alky with drag porting etc... You will have more advantages with a cast. With a stroked and ported motor, cub etc.. you will have better reliability with a stronger piston under those circumstances. What I'm saying is there is a point in motor mods where a cast piston will outperform a forged and vice-a-versa. One piston type is not the best for all motors.
  3. Add wd-40 to your steel wool, creates less friction between it and your chrome surface while improving cleaning power.
  4. Yep, that's the same reason I trim all the nipples off my new tires. lol
  5. Haha, see which builder's clean up port makes the most power, I can see it now. lol
  6. Isn't that the truth. Cost me a new tank recently cause of that.
  7. Now all you have to do is find the builder with the best clean up port, lol.
  8. Yea I don't know anyting about the PJ's since I've never used them. That motor with 18cc domes should be well up around 170 to 180. You have a problem somewhere with that low of compression, assuming your tester is accurate. You should also be running 110 race gas. Do a leak down test just to cover that area. Even as meticulous as I was with my cub build I had a pretty large leak around my base gasket at the front of the motor. Yea I ran 160 mains and 55 pilots CEL's mid clip in 35mm pwk's and is was perfect at around a 1000ft.
  9. If you want the best axle with the best warranty, hands down RPM Dominator.
  10. Problem is 99% of the people, when they do wash their hands in a restaurant setting, they do not wash them correctly. I've gone around several times to day care facilities when we have outbreaks of stool born illnesses to teach just that. Problem is when a person goes to a public facility to wash their hands they generally come out with dirtier hands than with what they started with. When we go to wash our hands in a public bathroom we 1st touch the faucet handle with our dirty hands. We wash our hands and then we touch that dirty faucet to turn it off. Then we grab the towell dispencer to eject some towels, then we grab the knob to open the door. Guess what? now we have everyones germs on our hands that has used the facility previously. 1st thing, when you walk into a bathroom, eject or lay out some paper towels. Do your business then wash your hands, grab a paper towel as a barrier to turn off the water and open the door. Now just shoot the towel in the can or throw it on the floor.
  11. You also have to look at the brand of replacement stators people are buying. They are more than likely using an aftermarket source like RS. You also have to think why they are replacing the stock unit in the 1st place, cause it probably went bad. I have an RS unit cause my stock unit took a dump. Cost me a great deal of headache as well figuring it out. You win some you loose some. With my experience I've definitely had better luck with RS.
  12. 1st 110.00 takes it, with new gaskets and stainless allen heads shipped. For v-force reeds and 33 to 35mm carbs.
  13. Totally agree, do it right the 1st time. Though that monster can looks good.
  14. You sure you could handle a 100 e-mails a day? lol
  15. Have a good one John!!!
  16. Call Trinity or Nmotion if you want those. John Stallworth ran the Trinity's over the CPI's for the pikes peak hill climb on his 7mil cub. Not sure what type of curve he was looking for in that race but I'm sure he tested a few pipes.
  17. Try the Trinity's they work great with the 421's.
  18. If you planned on rapping it and it will not stick, your probably using the wrong stuff. Try some 3m professional super trim adhesive. Test in an inconspicuous spot. If that won't work, nothing will. Otherwise I think Krylon fusion is your only choice if not a professional mixture for plastic.
  19. Yea they won't give discounts to us, I've asked them and they weren't interested.
  20. Not all company's have the foot peg bolts. I had to order mine seperate from Alloyboltz because they weren't included with the kit. They are trick though. The only bolts I have not been able to get are the upper a-arm pivot bolts.
  21. Still haven't heard back from Moto Tassinari. I'm game for a ride anytime. I'll have it all back together hopefuly early next week.
  22. Yea I was ignorant to what was out there. Ignorance is not always a bad thing ya know. lol
  23. My previous thread in the mods section pertaining to a crack in the boyesen port on my cubs was incorrect (my bad). It was not a crack even though it was identical to one. I had to pull the juggs of to discern it but lucky I caught it before I put anyone through any trouble. It was an inset area of the casting where some carbon made it into, so many of you may see the same thing on yours. I'm thankful in a way but now I have to put the flippin thing back together. Anyway I just wanted to correct any bad info I may have caused. Thanks to (FAST) Jeff and Calvin Pollet for getting on top of it to take care of the " what I thought was a problem."
  24. Now you need a bumper to protect your bumper. sure hate to run into anything with that. Looks good!!
  25. What time, like 8pm central time?
