That's the stuff right there. I used everything from grip glue to paint, nothing has worked like this stuff. It's called 3M super trim adhesive 88090.

Steel wool and mothers is at best, a cleaning prep step and not an efficient one. For a real shine it will take a high speed wheel and a specific industrial compound. Not the cheap crap people buy at Lowe's.

Yea 16 dollars for that cheesy kit is a waste. Go with fastner guy.

I don't think a battery charger will discharge power if not hooked to a powered source like a battery.

They fit the pro-design cool head for sure. Not sure about any other heads they will fit.

Yep, convertors don't have near the amp capability of those batteries on quick demand. I'm sure you could find one but it would be large and expensive. What I would do is look at some battery company's like Optima that make different voltage deep cycle batteries. Then you could recharge at the end of the day or every few days.

An FYI since they are my original domes used 3 hours before I built my cub. Those are Trinity made domes for the cool heads. They have a flow correction cut into them to force water into the jackets to maintain cooling efficiency that the pro-design domes don't have. This is a known cool head deficiency with nondirected water flow. 60 under cost, definitely a good buy. Free bump.

Not a problem at all, we all like to express our opinions and really no one is wrong here. One thing though is so many factors and variables are involved to make a motor run properly. When a motor is not running right, pistons are usually the 1st thing to go. They undoubtedly get blamed when the problem lies elsewhere. Wiseco and Pro-x are 2 of the best aftermarket piston manufacturers in the business, BUT I feel there is a time to use forged over cast, just as there comes a time to use a lockout clutch. You wouldn't want to use a lockout on a stock banshee though. You have to weigh advantages and disadvantages with everything. :beer:

heat guns are great for wide dispersion of heat and more controlled without getting damaging localized heat. I think you need some heat but I wouldn't risk using a torch on it.

Thanks fellas. It just makes better since to look at all options than to go one way or another for all situations. It's kind of like piping to your port. Not one pipe is the best for all ports, same with pistons and motors.

I'd use a heat gun, heat the outside up pretty good. Get a piece of steel like rebar or another big bolt (I actually use a socket extension) to place on the threaded end and whack the piss out of it with a BFH. Be carefull not to flatten or damage the end, then you will never get it out.

Pro-x is probably the best cast piston made for a banshee. If I had a relatively stock bike I'd run them over a Wiseco hands down. A cast piston will seal better and have less bore friction over a forged counterpart. If your motor is capable of running a cast piston over a forged, I would do it. I've never seen the difference in performance on cast vs forged in a banshee but car makers like dodge (viper) changed over to cast and it alone made more power. It's not as cut and dry as many people think. A forged is not the best choice in every situation.

I think I'd go with the PTR's too. The FMF's are great performers but they lack a quality finish.

Cascade does excellent work. They don't port in house though, a big name does all there porting but can't remember who, I'm thinking K&T. They just send juggs off then put together in house to your specs. Good people, great customer service.

Make your own. Go to a local hardware store and find some aluminum rods 3/4'' dimater, cut to length and drill out center then polish.

Any stock units from other quads come with spacers? Not an RPM for sure.

Avg running temps should be lower. Reason is they hold and flow more coolant and have less resistance = greater flow. This removes the heat quicker and we know quicker heat removal means a lower avg motor temp. Same reason aftermarket impellars work so good. They force the coolant through faster.
