  1. Well you did call the guy out on an open forum calling him a jackass. I'm sure FH didn't mind the prospective sale, he probably apprecaited it. Now your calling the guy out again on an open forum and will probably receive another nasty PM. I say when you call a guy a jackass you better be prepared for whatever. So basically, you threw the first punch as I see it.
  2. Sorry must of missed the post. I'm at work so I'll try and post a pic when I get home. The left filter will touch the left stinger but I didn't find that it was a big issue at all and they fit well. Cam2 had some problems with his fit and I really don't know what is the case with his pipes. Maybe some people are using different filter diameters, I'm unsure. I think mine are 3'' x 5'' pods.
  3. Your best bet on that info is to read about the elka dune edition shocks on their web site.

  6. Jannsens elite heims are aircraft grade aluminum uppers and chromoly lowers with kevlar teflon injection. They come anodized with boot covers for a mere 329.00 a set. I don't know if fireball makes them or not. I understand that some will wear out faster depending on material used but when you said people were getting hurt with their heims, was kind of misleading. All heims will wear out, it's our job to make sure they are in good operational condition. If you crash cause your heim is worn out, that's your problem. If you crash due to heims snapping left and right, that's a manufacturer issue. I was under the impression that these units were causing accidents due to breakage not wear. If we want the best heims, there are titanium bodied heims with stainless steel sphericals. I don't think anyone would want to pay for them though.
  7. Man I knew going to Oklahoma State wasn't going to teach you anything. Better keep the shee and transfer to O.U. in the spring.
  8. Sure you will gain power with an overbore. Dyno #'s have shown it's minimal unless you significanly increase your bore size and or stroke. As for cranks, you may be confusing long rod cranks and stroker cranks, I'm not sure, anyway here's the breakdown. A 4mm stroker with long rods is stock stroke (54)mm + 4mm then adding 115 mm rods. The stroker comes from the big end pin is placed 2mm further out, giving a total added stroke of 4mm, 2mm up and 2mm down. Standard rods are 110mm and long rods are 115mm (wrist pin located 5mm higher) and you have to use 795 series pistons to compensate for the added 5mm pin height. Long rods are used to increase leverage and reduce side load on pistons. You can have a 4mm stroker with standard rods (110mm) or long rods (115mm) you can use wiseco 513s or factory yamaha pistons with the standard rods. Spacer plate compensates for the added stroke or you can do dome or head mods (stock cylinders) to compensate as well.
  9. T5's definitely a better quality pipe craftsmanship wise. They just don't look good for long so I guess it doesn't really matter.
  10. As far as heim joint failures, are we talking snapping the spindle bolt? Only way I can see a heim joint fail is if it is too worn and the ball pops out of the body. Is this a poor design or a maintenance/inspection issue? I've heard of the spindle bolt nuts coming loose and popping out, same with tie rods. I'm just wondering where's the lawsuits and injured people from these things failing from poor design, quality and craftsmanship? I can understand something failing from lack of maintenance and inspection, happens with anything. But if it's a product like rax swingarms and they collapse like mudmoo's did, there's a problem and I think it would be well known. Same thing Ford told me when I asked them about Chevy's.
  11. That's a big negatory. Got the same shock though, cept for an eibach spring.
