Dead sure. The stator (stock) puts out 75 watts. If you use a bigger bulb you will get more of a yellow light. The light element won't run efficiently. Don't know if you have ever had a light with a dimmer knob, the output turns yellow at low setting then whitens up with more power. Same thing with the banshee lights. Your better off actually running a light at your rated power output or a little less. You want some light? Get a RS 200 watt stator and slap some 75 or 100 watt bulbs in.

Understand, though I wish you could make it. I never plan a trip based on my friends. I've gone to LS a many times by myself for that very reason. Same thing happened this time too. My friend ended up selling his quad cause he started school this fall and the trip has been planned. Things just come up and have a way of changing plans. We will definitely hook-up in the future.

Did water actually get inside the motor? If so you will need to completely tear it down and replace crank, gears etc.. Some of it could be salvaged, the metal parts with media blast possibly.

You need to check a resistance through the stator. You could also have cdi box or coil problems.
