You are talking about separate things. The Cubs are just the cylinders, and you can have these stock stroke or what they call long-rod. This will also mean that you have to get a stroker crank as well. The domes are in the head and if you run the long rod stroked cub, yes you need custom or stroker domes. The cool thing about the cubs is that you can run all stock parts if you are running stock stroke, until you want to upgrade. But the cubs will be no where near their potential power output either. Others will chime in here with more info, but thats the cliffs-notes version. You really wnat to know more about the different cub set-ups contact Jeff at FAST. He goes by FASTOYS on here. Great guy and he'll answer all your questions................

The green stickers seem to only apply if you are in the great republic, er ah, state of California, the leader in emissions control. Even though when I bought my '02 the latest year at that time for a green sticker. They had the same damn motor in them that they put in them for the whole 19 year running record, well 20 if you are in Canada. Pro's - Permanent smile on your face that you'll need plastic surgery to remove, much easier to work on and cheaper to get more hp out of than a 4-poke. Con's - The more power you get will be directly proportional to the size of your bank account, which in either case will never be enough............. :yelrotflmao:

Just get a brand and stick to it................. If you want to get a poll going of the major three to five brands (Klotz, Amsoil, Redline, Yamalube, H1R etc.) and find out what the consensus is on that brand for ratio. And they are usually pretty consistant............

Animalman294 replied to the skin doctor's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Too many people ride or borrow things and break them, then when you ask what they did, they say nothin' it just broke. So, with that in mind.................. Nobody rides my shee, unless you are blood, or have been around the family for so long you may as well be and other people think you are................ -

Yeah, thats what came to my mind with the hose blowing off, was bad timing. I think that tranny may be computer controlled as well and if the ecu is getting bad signals then that may explain why it soesn't move until it hits 3500 RPM's. The tranny thing may be a bad seal in the valve body if it is a auto, and the preasure bleeds down. But once the 3500 rpm's are reached or the tranny heats up, the seal may seat better, or the pressure may be high enough to accelerate the tranny. If it is a manual tranny, thats a cat of a different color. We need more info to help ya out...............

You can sheck the spark no matter type of throttle you are runnin'. Take both plugs out and put them close to any bare metal and see if spark jumps the gap. With both plugs out you should be able to crank it over with your hand. If there is no spark are the plugs gapped right, but if there is no spark it may be your new ignition............ They're right though we need more details about what you did, and what you have tried, and what happened when you did try or changed anything. Are the carbs stock, because if any carbs are adjusted wrong or not put together correctly will cause problems. Did you check the compression, because if it goes below 100, you will have a hell of a time getting it to run. Not impossible just really hard..........stock should be around 130-135 psi by the way.............

Man I'd damn good money to see someone racing up Sand Mountain NV with their shee runnin backwards all the way up. He it would be kinda like a front wheel drive shee.............. :yelrotflmao:

I highly recommend that you true and have your crank welded over 50-60 hp. You put any more power to it than that and you are way asking for trouble. If you are considering building a cub I hope you have your money saved up because there is a lot of things you need to do to the motor and the bike to take that kind of power increase from stock. The amount of power that you are looking for isn't going to be cheap, so don't even think about it if you are going to skimp in vital parts of the rebuild. For example the stroked crank and longer rods along with the larger bore allows the rod angle to be decreased so that it doesn't put a lot of stress on the rotating assembly.......... Just do it right.......................
