Try this, plug up the overflow tubes and see if it still disappears fast. If it doesn't then you know it is your float assembly wiggin' out. Make sure you check your plugs too. If may be runnin' it through the motor because something is screwed up too............
I just can't see how a person can think that a 3000# car has a chance with a 600# (400 bike + 200 rider) pumped shee. Even if they went faster they still have to get that POS moving quick enough to pass you before the line.
I agree though, if you race them you may want to practice taking off on asphalt unless you don't wheelie all the there and bounce off the grab bar. You need to borrow someones slicks for the day.............
Yeah, sounds like a good parts bike to me, and the reason it is a basket case isn't because of the reliability of the bike, but the abuse that it has had to endure
Thats really shitty man, where did they steal it from (yard, garage)?
I'll keep my eye out when we go to sand, but I'm in Cali, so I go to Glamis, Dumont, and Sand Mountain NV............
I was thinkin' early to mid eighties...................
SAVED BY THE BELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh man, here I'll bow my head in shame for you................... :yelrotflmao:
Hey shee, welcome back to planet earth, where the hell did that thought come from........ :yelrotflmao:
I thought we were talkin' about the HQ.....................
I agree Dirtwheels is catering to much to the four stroke crowd and has entirely too many adds, but I guess it pays for the pages in the mag. If it weren't for the add pages the mag would only be about 17 pages............... :yelrotflmao:
I really like the Sandsport magazine, but unless you own a rail which is primarily what it is geared for there isn't too many quad articles. But when there is they are pretty good stories.......
There is some funny shit that happens with shipping companies, so they are right get a tracking number just to be safe. And I have never heard of any company these days that will not give you a tracking number when you ship the item.
These guys are right though. There are a lot of people on the HQ, but if they have been here a while they are all stand up guys. I have never heard of Chase stiffin' anyone on an ordered item, and it sounds like he is tryin' to meet you half way on this. Plus, when other members are offerin' to give you parts for free to help Chase out of a shitty situation. That sounds to me like they trust him for his word and so should you...............
You can also go to www.atvtrader.com and find prices of quads for that year and state where you live. There is also www.cycletrader.com, but they may only be street bikes. The atvtrader is where I found all three of our bikes. Loco's right though pictures would help out a lot...........
Yeah, bite your tongue.............. :yelrotflmao: There's never too much power, and there is usable power just not on trails............... Unless you have really long straight stretchs on your trails and a parallel trail next to that one with a finish line at the other end..............
Banshee's were designed to go like hell, hence their name, and they do that very well. With correct gearing even a stock banshee is a force to be reconned with. But you will get a lot more power out of a 2 stroke than you will out of a four with the same amount of money. The suspension issue has always been a problem, but Yamaha put all their R&D money into other quads to help them sell better. The Banshee has always sold really well, which is why they had such a long manufacturing run and had little change to the bike.............
