hmmm. i thaught the lights under a vehicle were illegal?? i may be wrong.. but they do look good on some vehicles..i had a friend who rides a street bike and got a ticket for having them on his cbr...i thaught it was a great idea on a bike..you become visiable at night

im going out to plaster city or superstioton on 7-23-05 for a night run..i was thinking about getting there about 1 hr b4 sunset..anyone else wanna go for a good old fashion night time desert ride???

i havnt seen the 700 raptor yet to be honest...but the one my buddy rides is an 05 and he dosnt like it

man i feel for ya there..but if your friend is a stand up guy he will either pay for the bike he ruined or pay it off if you still owe on it..then you can go out and use the other bike on a traid or out rite sale to buy what ever bike you realy want...the 06 banshee is a nice bike right off the showroom floor..as far as the 700 raptor..i think you would be happier with the banshee..i got a frind that bought a raptor over a banshee and not a day goes by that he dosnt wish he got the banshee

in guessing but i think we are all thinking about the terrain being a long dirt road or something close to it..and the stock hp..is 35..68-74 mph depending on the tire size..i just called a local dealer ship to get this info..apperantly east coast mid west and west coast dealers sell banshees with different tire sizes that fit the area the dealer is in.. im in san diego and i know most dealers out here offer paddles instead of knobbies because glamis and all the other dune spots are so close

jetting was done by a shop so im not 100% positive..the guy sais he went with mfm recomended settings..the air filter is brand new and was the first trip with the k&n on the bike??

i have never had 1 problem with fmf..hoe ever my toomeys did come apart at the stinger tube last time i was out on that bike

stock i think i was getting 73 mph..hp.not sure 35 i was told..now with pipes reeds jets air filter and gearing changes im getting about 43-45 hp..and im getting 87-91 mph depending on terrain

cheap and banshee mods are two words that dont ever seem to be found together...as far as doing stuff to the shee i perfer to do the mods that i feel like are the most needed for the types of riding you do...for example im getting into desert racing and my first choice to do was suspension.(you can only go as fast as the bike will handle) then i got pipes reeds jetting and the k&n filter.and im going from there, next im getting a 5.6 gallon tank,then bead locks,then im going to dive into the motor..but i would say look at the riding you are going to be doing the most and build the bike in order to suit you. what ever you feel like you need most to help your riding area and style then start there

its too bad there are all 4 strokes racing these days..the 2 strokes i think might have a good chance on a track like they had at the out door games but it would take a good rider to realy know how and when to use that 2 stroke snap to pull off a win...i race my banshee in baja type races and i can keep right up with the 4 stroke bikes..i mean hell it dosnt matter if you have a shee that goes 300mph you cant do more than 45-50mph on most of the areas any way..i average 40 mph on a 20 mile loop.there are some spots where its 1st gear going 2mph and others where its 6th pinned...so i dont think its a matter of being on a 2 stroke or 4 stroke..i think the maatter comes down to the fact that 4 strokes are killing the market because they are not making 2 strokes as much as they used to..

i know there is a guy out here in san diego that builds monster motors for just about any 2 stroke bike..he sais he can build a banshee motor to be a 650 cc 2stroke and he does alot of 525's..his shop is called yacki racing he is in vista california..try him out

welcome to the world of the banshee...i hav the first bit of advice for you...go out and but some velcro...it helps keep your ass on the seat

i found the hq by mistake last year and ever sence i did i have got better advice about my banshee than i ever did at a dealer or on the net...and the posts that dont involve mods or performance are fun to go through too..i dont realy know any of you guys but i awlys feel like if i ran into another hq member out in a local ride spot it would be like riding with friends..there are many more sites out there thaat have some banshee info but nothing like there is here..and with the end of the banshee comming soon this is a gold mine of a site..BANSHEE HQ reminds me of o great group of friends standing around the garage with a beer in hand talkin about our toys and having fun...i think that we all need to take a second and thank LEE for this site and give props to everyone who makes the hq what it is

the out door life channel shows the GNCC races every week...im not sure of the time but i think its every tuesday or wednesday at 2 or 230 pm..(pacific time) and rumor has it 2 of my races i do will be on tv this season in october and december.its desert racing baja style so im not sure how the coverage will be

i dont know what id do with out my ipod...i got the ipod mini..its $199 and i use it every day..i got the itrip for it and i use it in my office in the truck i ride the shee with it and it never skips never has a problem..get one they are cheap if you get it from best buy its under 250 with all the goodies

throttle responce turned to crap and was having trouble in 5th getting into the band??? WHY??? will my jetting have an effect on this?

just be careful if ur getting them i have heard of and seen that pipe break a few times
