Has only had 110 octane and Klotz R-50 @32:1. Looking to move this one and finish my street legal hot rod. Would consider trade for a 70-81 Camaro, Late 70's Malibu,Vega/Monza Drag Car, Altered Drag Car or 67-72 Chevy Truck. Asking $4200 for bike or $4500 w/ Comp Cut Padla Brat's and Front Dune Tires. I can be reached at [email protected]. Bike is in Central Oklahoma.
  2. Sounds like you are on the right track. If you plan to stick with the stock carbs, a TORS eliminator kit and a pair of aftermarket needles will make a good investment. Also, did you remove your airbox lid (will require a Pro-Design type intake) or did you cut holes in the lid for more airflow? Good luck.
  3. Ragun, pleasure doing business with you.
  4. Still shopping..............
  5. Advancing the timing 4 degrees will increase power quite a bit. I think it's best to use the adjustable plate vs. the offset key. Engine performance is greatly determined by what type of porting your cylinders have. A dune style or drag port would yield the highest peak HP numbers. Also, you didn't mention what pipes you are running. Sounds like you have a good start on a strong running combination, maybe just need to get it dialed in.
  6. Nice looking piece, wonder when the bigger carb models will be available?
  7. Pipes are SOLD, thanks again Ragun.
  8. Sold to Ragun, pending payment.
  9. At this point, they are only available as a set. If they don't sell in a few days I can split them up. Care to make an offer on the headers?
  10. I'm familiar with Sand Trax in Tulsa, but never heard of FastTrak.......
  11. Sometimes if you turn them upside down, the float will hang and cause the Carb to flood. Have you removed the float bowls? Did you take the slides out of the carbs when you had them off?
  12. Ragun, new pics are up in a new post in the for sale section......
  13. I apologize for the double post, but it's not letting me edit my original post. One of the mods can delete the first post if they would like. Toomey T5's including the pipes and silencers. Pipes are chrome with minimal surface rust (I removed some of it with 000 steel wool, I think the rest will come out also). The pipes don't have any dents or re-welds, and none of the mounts are cracked. The silencers have chrome stingers and the silencer bodies were semi polished at one point (Toomey sticker removed). This is a great set of pipes, but I switched to Shearer's with my last motor build. I apoligize for the crappy pics, I can get more in the A.M. of the silencers. Price is $275 shipped, PayPal only. This last Pic shows the inside of these pipes. The right side has more surface rust than the left. I think some more work with steel wool and some polish would do wonders. All I did was wipe them with a rag to remove the dust.
  14. I've got a set of used T-5's in the For Sale area.
  15. Still looking, how much for the Dyna?
  16. Not looking to trade, PayPal funds only. After running the Shearer's I'll stick with them

    CDI Box

Looking for a CDI for my 1999 Shee. Stock will work, also looking for a DYNA or other aftermarket. Thanks.
  19. I was considering the pickup coil as a source of problem. I'll look at it for sure. The stator had some rust/crud on it where it had been cut down, and where the pickup coil reads the magnet. I sanded the crud off and seems to run a little better. The spark plug caps were new with the coil I bought straight from Yamaha. I would think they would be good, but it wouldn't hurt to check. Thanks Guys.
  20. I rebuilt the top end over the winter and changed my setup. Now running a Passion Aggressive dune port, stock stroke, NOSS Head w/19cc domes, Fireball Intake, 34PJ's (160 mains/52 pilots), clamp on K&N's, V-Force 3's. I replace both crank seals and bearings when I did the top end. Got it all put together and fired the engine only to find it was running on one cylinder. Tested the coil, it was out of spec, replaced it and was running fine. Took it to the dunes this weekend, it ran really hard for the first couple of hours, then started cutting out in the upper RPM's, 3/4 throttle or more. Replaced the spark plugs, did another plug chop, which showed the plugs a shade darker than a perfect tan. Bike was still cutting out, and then heading to the truck through the trails, it died twice. Both times it acted like you hit the kill switch. Kick it once, it fired up and ran. I'm thinking I've got electrical issues. Maybe a bad CDI? I still haven't determined what caused the first coil to take a crap. The stator is of unknown brand/wattage, but has been lightened. My next step is to check connections on the CDI, etc. Any more ideas???
  21. I am also interested in knowing the weight difference. They don't look like a bad tire for a small investment.
  22. OK Guys, I'm heading out to the garage (Yes, it's 5:45am) to start the Banshee assembly. It's been awhile since I removed the -2" swinger from the Shee. Today, it gets a +2". There was an aluminum spacer between the swinger and frame on the old arm. I'm assuming all Banshee's have this? It goes on the chain side or brake side? Thanks guys..........
