  1. from reading around on the forums i would have to say the cv setup from trinity. get a 35mm carb with it.
  2. Anyone got a picture of a IMS Fuel Tank on there banshee, would apriciate it. I want to see what a 5 gal looks like, I already seen the 4 gal on the IMS website, doesnt look 2 bad.
  3. can u get the pic to work? I just want to see how it looks.
  4. nascar is a bunch of nazis, fining someone for saying "shit" on tv, how pathetic. they find any and everyway to knock someone down.
  5. no, its the fact that the 400ex is a 4 stroke, and is has alot of power and torque around first and second gears ,so thats why it can stay up like that. on the other hand, the banshee is a 2 stroke, and you know that. wheelieing it would be hard unless your pushin out some real power, but its possible, just hard to do. most of the time your see people wheelieing on 4 strokes because of that power u can get to keep it up in the air, because the power is right there, unlike the 2 stroke with the powerband. if im wrong correct me, but I think this is why.
  6. well said if you cant do that i would just part her out ya, you would get alot more for pating her out instead of selling the complete shee.
  7. would most likely put on some new ball joints, although I would have to make the a-arms the design of the aftermarkets up front to attach them, but it can be done.
  8. on the subject in single carbs, I seen this cv setup other than trinity, i dont remeber the company name because they were on ebay. they had 2 tubes connected to both intakes, and then connecting together and holding the single carb on the other end. would this setpu run the same as the trinity cv intake setup? it looked something like this (dont mind my paint skills ).
  9. ditto . anyways, here are solutions i came up with. 1.Since the stock a-arms are weak, I would have them replicated with maybe some .120 tubing, also with the +2 extension. see, my dad has been in the auto body world for 20+ years. Hes owned his own shop for about 15 years, and is currently working as a local shop. he can do it all, welding, fixing cars up real good, painting, and everything else, so I was gonna have him do it for me. 2. I was going to use these ball joints, http://www.rockymountainatv.com/home.asp?SID=0003135723 3.I will be very very careful 4. planning on just adding some straight lengthed tubing, shouldnt mess up the alignment with the wheels. 5.get longer ones built
  10. I was thinking, wouldn't it be possible to extend the stock a-arms? I mean, you could get 4 pieces of 2 inch tubing, cut the stock a-arms , weld the 2" tubing together, and you would have some +2 a arms. if possible I have some questions. are the stock a-arms strong as aftermarket a-arms? would they hold up? would new ball joints be useful ? and what are the stock a-arms constructed of?
  11. dont get bigger carbs, u will lose bottom/mid range power. u need more mid range for woods and coal hills. get some fattys, dont get a boost bottle, they are worthless crap. lightening the flywheel takes off the mass allow your banshee to rev faster and increases throttle response, costs roughly around $60? if you want some real power, get a 12 port stroker from passion racing, http://www.passionracingengines.com/ . if it costs too much just get a mild port. a trinity 2 in 1 35mm carb setup is real good for low end and mid range, http://www.trinityracing.com/ .
  12. ya u can get cpi's if u dont have porting done, but take note there are 2 kinds of cpi inframes. 1 is for 350 to 430 cc, and the other is the big bore version, 440cc and up. you will be fine with the 350 version. with cpi's you will gain some mid range to top end.
  13. I wouldnt mind usin some CPi's, but the only downside is that they have no spark arrestor. I was thinking all night last night on what to do to rig up a spark arrestor system to it, because I ride in SVRA places that require them. I was thinking about just sticking one of these in the back of the silencers, http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/item....=662&division=6 , and then either welding it or drilling some screws in it. Anyone have any suggestions on how to rig up some spark arrestors?
  14. i was reading about St Helen the other day in my science class. the top of the mountain was round untill one day it just caved in due to all the preasure building up inside, then is sploded!!!
  15. raptors dont look that bad , but i'd prefer a banshee anyday
  16. or u could just go buy a full set of marier plastics and then buy some carbon fiber sheets because all that is on the 04 banshee gas tank plastic is a sticker.
  17. u can order it from a local yamaha dealer, or by email. first you have to go to http://parts.yamaha-motor.com/ , and select the 2004 SE banshee, add the sidecover, front fenders, and rear fenders to your wish list, then either email it, or print it out and take it to a yamaha dealer and they will order the parts.
  18. what about rethnal sprockets? they are susposed to be real stong, they better be for $25 dollors.
  19. I heard the fatties rev 1000rpms more than the t-6's, and they sign out later on the dyno charts. they also have more torque, and have more power than the t6's.
  20. rotflmmfao
  21. toomey t3 silencers. u can get a t3 silencer kit off http://www.toomey.com , cost about 160
  22. Loco you took the words right out of my mouth....Hands down meats bike kicks ass agreed !
  23. if u do trail riding dont get a full drag port man. get 12 Port Stroker crank porting, I hear its real good setup, and quite popular, just ask the guys on BHQ who have em.
  24. u can get a trx250r cheaper now. they arent as expensive as they used to be. i would get a trx 250 out of all those 3 u named, just because it does out preform them in suspension and everything else.
  25. all i gotta say it wow . that guy is incredibly stupid, i would never attempt such a stunt.
