  1. Looks good, I am also curious to know how that setup rides. A buddy of mine runs fox shocks on standard travel +2 a-arms, he say's they are well worth the coin. I personally haven't rode his bike so I wouldn't know how good they ride. I'm running 16 1/4" tripple rate works on my LT front end, I'm wondering if I should upgrade.
  2. I did this swap a while back, like you mentioned only the rear shock with the remote reservoir will work from a 2004 raptor. It's about an inch taller, no modifications needed to install it. To me it was just a quick fix, I needed a shock for my +4 swingarm and had it laying around. It worked fine for a few years until I swiched over to a stock rear shock setup/valved for my weight and swingarm.
  3. Yeah i figured, I did a dc conversion and with my two 35w hid's I had, my battery would still drain a little. I only noticed from throwing it on the battery tender.
  4. Well I believe the stock stator is only 70 watts if im correct? Where is the 70-100 watts coming from?
  5. Hmm I guess I missed this thread, I have some seat's drawn up I'll be contacting you when the 1st comes around.
  6. Looks like a shark took a bite out of your bike, the red looks good though. Just be careful not to spill any gas on it (found that out the hard way), and I would definately consider ditching those nerfs
  7. I am waiting for this as well, I have all my wiring and electric hooked up under the radiator. My current box is up front under the plastic & it's a POS, but hey I can't complain it was free. Is their any room in this box for foam padding or rubber insulation? I know those lead-acid batteries dont like any vibration.
  8. I'm definately looking into chroming a few of my billet parts, polishing is such a hassle. All that work to get your bike looking shiney for a weekend at the dunes, come back home and everything is dull. I would say either chrome it or powdercoat it...
  9. DDQ sprayed his rims with plasti-dip and said it help up well. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=151928&st=0
  10. YFZ450 Spindles sold Few price drops
  11. Like the title says, looking to trade my Small Bore Inframe Shearers for a set of Big Bore Small Flange Inframe Shearers. They are chrome and I can get pics, send me a pm.
  12. HJR top end and VF3 Reeds Sold
  13. Im currently using eyeball +3+1 LT a-arms with yfz450 spindles, although I havent measured travel I've read that the yfz450 spindle puts the ball joints and tie rods at a better angle providing more wheel travel. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong... Here is a picture of my old setup, Yfz450 a-arms, Spindles, & hubs with yfz450R shocks on the left. Compared to the stock suspension I gained a few more inches of wheel travel, with the stock banshee spindles I was not able to run this setup. Here are the +3+1 Eyeball Lt A-arms mounted on yfz450 spindles without shocks
  14. IMS Pegs SOLD
  15. Hiper's SOLD
  16. Added HJR top end, a few more billet parts, and yfz spindles You need to do a DC conversion
  17. Single Beadlock
  18. added hipers, trail tech lights, roll pegs, cascade gear slammer
  19. I run 35mm Pwk's on my HJR Dune Ported motor, but for your application I would run the 28mm Pwk's like Dave5.0 said. My uncle's banshee had the same motor as me except 28mm pwk's, his bike was a lot more snappy in the low end.
  20. Sounds good man
  21. Recently I tried out the sanding/buffing combo, its pretty effective but wont be as shiny as brand new plastics. You have to sand from 220-1000 grit, 220 for deep scratches only, 400, 800, and wet sand with 1000. I don't recommend trying to buff the plastics by hand so your going to need a buffer, or a bit that attaches to a drill with a buffer pad on the end. You'll need a cutting compound, and a polishing compound. I didn't take any pictures after I finished, but it came out pretty good. In the end I just ended up scuffing my plastics back up and painted them.
  22. Come on down WFO, got a real big group going this time man. Should be fun, we're leaving Thursday afternoon.
  23. Yeah I'm about an hour 1/2 away from you in Oakland, are there more dunes behind the big mountain?
  24. Honestly, are they that much heavier than douglas blue labels? I mean does having a lighter rim really give you better performance in the sand? Anyone know the differences in weight? I've been debating wether I should switch my paddles over to my Hiper rims, I like it for the looks but that's about it.
  25. Looks good man, lets see that thing in action. I've always been curious about how a small block twister would run, nice alternative to the almighty "cub".
