  3. I did all my own port work on one of my bikes and love it. Everything was done with a dremel. Took about 5 or 6 grinding stones and two wire-brush wheels. I think over-all for both cylinders it took me about 8 hours of total work time. I did flow-bench testing and it came out almost equal to my buddies eric gorr port job. I paid $15 for supplies. Its not that hard, just make sure you don't take too much off the middle portion and keep everything even between the two cylinders and the two ports in each one. While you have it off you might as well polish your exhuast ports. If I had seen this post two days ago I would have gotton you pictures of my ports when I re-built my top end. Sorry. I have to re-jet my carbs this weekend, maybe i will pull the reeds off and get you some pics.
  4. I can cut one of those things in like 5 seconds with a pair of small bolt cutters. I agree about the insurance. Best thing to have.
  5. If he owns the property he can do whatever he wants with it. At least thats how it is in Wyoming. I signed your petition though. I was no. 37 but you will need a lot more than that for anything legal to happen with it. Shoot for at least 100. Come on HQ, I know we have 100 here that would sign it...
  6. Wolverine... Those little fuckers are one mean son of a bitch. They are smart too. They will track a human for up 50 miles to find your camp and totally trash it when they do. Ran into some of them up in Alaska. About the size of a medium black lab dog and they can run fast enough to take down a caribu, strong enough to kill a bear, have claws about 2 in long, and their skin is so loose that if a predator pins them on the ground they can turn almost completely around inside their own skin.
  7. The motion detector isn't a bad idea at all. We use something similar in our barn. Instead of having it activate some lights just send the wires into your house and attach to a speaker of some sort. You can get a real basic setup with all the parts from Radio Shack. Just tell the radio shack nerd what you are trying to do and if they are somewhat smart they will get you what you need. Not a bad idea to put a loud speaker / siren inside the shed to scare the crap out of the person getting in. We had a neat rig inside a trailer we used to take to the dunes that would light up 6 halogen lamps right in the face of the person who opened the trailer, and a siren that went off. Blinded the person and the sound scared them and made them run. Tested it on a friend that didn't know about the setup. He tripped over a log we put behind the trailer when he heard the sound and went to run but couldn't see. Pretty funny. Choice no. 2 = put a wolverine in your shed and feed him once a week. He will go psycho on your ass whenever anyone opened the door. hahaha
  8. Another way you can find out what its made out of is with sound waves. There is some fancy instrument that does it. It basically puts different sound waves through the material and sees how long it takes for the waves to go through the material and what waves bounce back. Basically tells you density of the material and some other basic stuff which is used to determine the material. If I had one to test I could take it to the stress labs at school and find the yield strength and proportional limit of the material and tell you what it is. But they aren't something that grows on trees... lol
  9. I don't know that it sounds like normal banshee operation. I never had a bog like described before the pipe. Mine always had crisp throttle response even in low rpm. Not much power at all, but it wouldn't bog down before I would get on the pipe. I think its probably your carbs just need a little tinkering.
  10. Umm ok that was pretty weird.
  11. If you get two 2x6's and cut them to length and attach a 2x4 vertically to the middle of the bottom of both you will have a very strong ramp, and not very expensive. We have driven a Polaris Ranger up these with no Problem. ------ 2x6 [] 2x4 Just put some long screws through the 2x6 into the 2x4 so it makes a T shape. pretty simple. If you get crafty you CAN make them with some strong hinges so they will fold in half, but our truck has an extended bed so we just slide them in the bed under the quad.
  12. Ha Ha Ha Ha!
  13. I run Razr-I's on my warrior and love them. I have a buddy who had the II's on his and we switched for a day and I hated the II's. The I's hook up better and slide better. I have had them on for over a year and ride almost every weekend and they are only down to about 50% and I do cookies and spin my tires excessively. Go with the Razr-I's
  14. I will trade you a block of cheese for your 02. The block of cheese is way better than the 05's, so you will be getting one hell of a deal. Ha Ha Congrats on the new ride!
  15. magicracing.com or rockymountainatv.com both are very good to deal with and have good prices.
  16. One of my bikes has been out of the game for about 4 months now because I am waiting to afford parts. It only took me about a day and a half to tear down to rolling chassis though. Make sure if you do tear it down that you keep track of parts. I can't count how many bolts & crap i lose every time and I have to order new ones.
  17. I am seriously considering this...
  18. Jesus, eat some freaking food! I hate those skinny-ass girls. I would break them in half after a good banging.
  19. Here in Wyoming the maximum security prison inmates get HBO, free meals, free medical checkups, free dental work, and they get a free gym to use when they get their outside time every day.
  20. yeah and what if there were zero gravity and the guy on the cr500 was blind?
  21. I have a whopping feedback score of ONE! Just started the whole e-bay thing.
  22. Oh yeah... the absolute lowest elevation this bike sees is 8000ft. Does that change anyone's suggestions? I ride it in the winter quite a bit as well. Temp ranges from 20
  23. cough cough DOUCHEBAG cough
  24. Not sure, but those wires look like the ones that used to hook into the tors system or to your lights? Anyone else think those look familiar. I took the lights off my bikes and got rid of the tors system and I think I cut some plugs similar to those off... 17cc seems like it would give you really high compression to just be running pump gas, you might consider mixing 50/50 race gas.
