  1. I just run the cheap steel ones from RMATV and they last about 9 to 10 months, and I try to ride every wheekend.
  2. Anything is better than stock.
  3. They might give some power, but not enough that you will even notice. They are just a better piston (the wiseco) and will last longer.
  4. ROFL You crack me up Brooke!
  5. Can you powdercoat billet stuff?
  6. I'm not upset over it at all. I've always been too laid back to get worked up over stuff like that. I just kinda cruise through life however it gets handed to me. For the people who have met me and know me they know what I mean. If something does go the way I had it planned I just kinda say Oh Well and move on. It takes a lot to get me down. The way I see it is that I can spend the money I used to spend on her on banshee parts! Thanks for the comments guys! - Jared
  7. Broke up with Kelly two days ago. Oh well, on to better things. I have another girl that I've been interested in, but couldn't do much with up to this point, so I think I will give her a call. Check out my new avatar too! If you can't see it, hit refresh. Well, have a long busy day at work today, so I need to hit the road. See all you BHQ freaks later!
  8. I'm not saying I need it, but there are some people out there who have never done anything on their bikes and can use things like this. I was just being nice and posting a guide for the newbies to the work on your own shit section. Don't be an ass. That's my job around here.
  9. Found this on ebay, just thought I would share for the people who have never done it before... http://www.alpinemachineservice.com/images...m_Bushings.html
  10. A general rule of thumb is that every mm removed from the plate is 1
  11. I like to stick my tap on my electric drill and put it on the highest setting. I find this is the quickest way to get threads tapped in.
  12. Ruger is a very nice gun. Keep it clean and it should treat you well. I just picked up another handgun last weekend before I went shooting with Rippen. Only had 150 rounds through it so far. Smith & Wesson 9mm with two 16 round clips. Paid $300
  13. I do two heat cycles, then ride it around easy for 15-20 min, never going above about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. Never had any trouble with it. I get anywhere from 60 to 100 hours on a top end. But I tend to ride mine pretty hard. I'm at just over 70 hours on this latest top end and checked compression... only down about 5psi from when I tested it at first break in. Jetting plays an important role in the life if your bike as well. Make sure you have it jetted right on, and she won't let you down.
  14. If your "any bike" has a shift star, and shifts similar to a banshee, then yes, it can probably be done to your "any bike" I wouldn't go tearing into shit and grinding it up though unless I was totally sure on how it worked first.
  15. Trans oil or just your oil/gas mix? Sounds to me like you have more problems than just overheating if you have oil in your coolant. Probably an impeller seal or something.
  16. Sweet, looks like another item to add to my list of stuff I need to get from jeff.
  17. It makes shifting easier and smoother. Gets rid of that notchy feeling when you shift.
  18. I can mod it for you for free, you just pay for shipping both ways. Takes like 5 min to do.
  19. i am going to go with a heavy duty clutch with all the heavy duty springs, and if I have problems I am going to get a lockup. They aren't that expensive for the unit itself, it's that damn cover you need to run them that gets me. Wish the cover were a little cheaper.
  20. Der, I just took my star and ran the humps over my 8 million rpm metal grinder until the little humps were gone. I an go from 1st to 5th in one click. Beat that!
  21. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!
  22. I run diesel in my banshee. I put everclear in my tank once with my old 87 shee. Ran great for that one tank. I don't know that I would try it again, but for that one tank, it did awesome.
  23. Heat it up with oxy-acetaline and just bend it back straight. I've done it with shifters, brake levers, grab bars, handle bars... works on eveything.
  24. shut up or i will sue you!
