  1. I've got some ideas for a completely new shifting mechanism for the banshee. I've only machined about 3 of them, and I'm running one of them in my black bike with excellent results on shifting ability. I think it would be something that could be put on the market with pretty good success, but I don't have the manufacturing means to mass produce it. Anyone who is familiar with banshee transmissions knows how they shift once you pass the 70hp mark. There are a LOT of riders out there who want the ease of an override trans or dunable override, but without any worries of backloading or downshifting at any rpm range. Anyone who's ridden my black bike can and will attest to the shift pattern/ease. The few units I've made were all done by hand on an old bridgeport mill. I don't have plans or CAD drawings for them. - Jared
  2. They are rather expensive, but buy a pelican case, and the padding them come with will be more than adequate. Just cut the padding to fit the engine in the center. Those cases are WAY stronger than rubbermaid. - Jared
  3. Jon, you better be out at KP this weekend so I have someone to race on this banshee for the vids... Bump! I will post vids/pics of it in action next sunday.
  4. LOC, I got your PM, but BHQ isn't letting me respond to PM's. Its only letting me send one PM per day, so shoot me an email to [email protected] and I'll get back to you. But to answer your questions, yes its a methanol bike. With the 17cc domes the comrpession is too high for running on gas. I'm at 8500ft elevation, and if you take the bike to a lower elevation the compression will get even higher. Methanol / Alky is about the only fuel you can run in it right now without changing the domes. If you get a hold of kim at K&T he can make you a custom set of domes for your altitude and get it set up for gas if that's what you want to do with it. The way this bike is set up right now its probably putting around 70-80hp to the ground on methanol. I haven't had it on a dyno, so that's just a guess. Radar Racing.... I am going on a dune trip the weekend of the 13th. Genoa is a bit of a far drive for me to go just to show a bike without a definite buyer. Genoa is about an 8-10hr drive for me. I will post up videos and more pictures of the bike showing how it runs after our dune trip. Dajogejr.... Thanks! Very true, the bike would definitely need larger domes if its going to be ridden at lower altitudes or if a buyer wants to run it on gas. - Jared
  5. Its a good running bike for sure. It did great on the hillclimbs at walden last time I had it down there. Next time I have it out I will get some vids of it. - Jared
  6. How about you pay off the ride first, get the official certificate of origin and just give it with the bike when you sell it. If there is still a lein holder listed on the bike, you can't sell it without going through whoever the lein holder is. The bike belongs to them, not you. Also, why is the bike inside your house? Looks that way in the pic. Trying to avoid someone doing a repo on the bike or what?
  7. Thanks man. I don't mind working out delivery if someone is interested. Meet half-way or whatever...
  8. The bike is located in Cheyenne, WY. I am willing to drive to Salt Lake, UT, Denver, most of nebraska, all of wyoming... I don't have any problems working out delivery if someone is interested. I'm going outside to take some pics...
  9. Wacko, BHQ is being gay and won't let me send any more PM's. Jump over on www.dunereview.com/forums and shoot me a PM and I can talk to you some more about what you can do with your trans and where you can buy the parts... - Jared
  10. ROFL!! I just spit pepsi all over my table. Thanks mark. Bonbon has 0 trans mods. Bonbon fail. - jared Also, I wouldn't hesitate to send it to HJR for the trans work.
  11. Cut every other dog off the trans gears, shift star mod, roller bearing from cascade with the stock roller spring... Just those things will get you a pretty good trans. There are some other mods you can do, but try that out first and see how it does for you. I ran basically that setup on a 10mil cub and didn't have any trouble shifting. - jared
  12. Forgot to say... it's raining outside right now, once the weather clears up I will get some pics.
  13. I've got a 4mil K&T ported stock cylinder banshee that I'm considering selling. Just wanted to see how much interest is out there. Not totally sure on selling it yet, but I might if someone is really interested. 4mil stroke 110mil rod stock cylinders ported by K&T. Not a full on drag port, more of a high end dune port. shearer pipes 17cc domes, cool head billet adjustable timing plate 35mm billet intakes 35mm alky / meth carbs w/ K&N filters +6 stock style swinger chrome front a-arms (minus one arm that was replaced with a stock silver color arm) +2 axle with billet hubs (not sure on brand) brand new braided steel throttle cable brand new rear brakes... braided steel line, new master cylinder, new pads. Fun bike and runs really strong. Freaking awesome on the hillclimbs at walden. Bike has a new top end on fresh bore. I've only been out on it once since the heat cycles. "Theshee" has ridden it and can tell you about how it runs. I've got a trip planned the weekend of the 13th if anyone wants video of it running against some other bikes. $2900 OBO Feel free to make some offers. Again, I'm not totally set on selling it yet, just seeing how much interest is out there or what offers I can stir up. - Jared
  14. I don't need the rotor. How much for the other stuff shipped to 82009?
  15. I think you've got it mixed up. Meth / Alky love compression and timing. You want to go with a smaller cc dome size when switching to alky or meth.
  16. how much for the rear brake setup? master cylinder, line and caliper out back... need everything.

    stator cover

I need a stock stator cover. Who's got one?
  18. The answer to all of your questions is..... 7. That's all there is to it. :geek:
  19. Call Eric Gorr. He will hook you up.
  20. Things here in wyoming haven't really slowed down much. At least where I work. I just picked up two new dune bikes and going to work on hopping the new banshee up some more. But yeah, our dunes seem a little more empty than normal. All the out-of-stater's are staying away. That's fine with me, since they are usually the ones trashing the dunes and camping areas.
  21. What are you running that you need an 8-plate AND a lockup? Why not just run a stock width billet basket and a lockup?
