  1. The 450 throttle housing just has a different feel to it when its attached to the banshee carbs. (at least thats what I think) No, those are not the pipes I got from him. The pipes on this bike are from bonbon.
  2. Vids of the bike doing some hillclimbs are posted in the video section... There, fixed it for ya jon. LOL
  3. Thanks! Bump! Come on folks! Great running bike! Porting from K&T would be 350-400 alone. 4mil crank, cool head, shearer pipes, carbs, intakes, new top end, swinger.... Good deal! - Jared
  4. Send me those glasses... I've already got the pocket pool glove.
  5. Bump! Come on, someone wants to throw some roost!
  6. Have you tried "bonbonboxowine"
  7. Could be the big nut that holds the PTO gear on the side of the crank. I've had those come loose and grind against the clutch cover just below the water pump and it makes a horrible noise. Pull your clutch cover and check your water pump gear, water pump itself... pretty much everything. Do a compression check while you're working on it too... Gregrob is right, check the flywheel. Noises can transfer through the crank and be misleading. - jared
  8. Bump! $2800 anyone?
  9. Thanks! We didn't have anyone arm dropping that day, so in most of those races the other guys were looking at me for when we would launch. It does come out of the hole hard though. Yes, the red bike has an override. The cheetah doesn't. Both bikes have bigger engines than the little yellow bike. No, I haven't done my mods to the transmission since I'm trying to sell it. I don't really want to split the cases and tear apart the transmission shafts if I'm going to be selling it. Its got a stock transmission. It does shift very smooth though. :geek: Thanks for the comments! - Jared Edit: Actually now that I'm thinking about it, it depends on if you are talking displacement or stroke if the other bikes have bigger engines. The red banshee has stock stroke, big bore 409 kit and is in an aluminum drag frame, spindle mount wheels, override, etc. Its a smaller stroke, but larger displacement. Boostedrex is also about 50lbs lighter than I am and his bike is set up more for drag racing.
  10. OK, This bike is officially up for sale. It runs awesome, but there are other things I could use the money for and I already don't have enough room to bring all the toys with us when we go to the dunes. I'll do my best to give all the details on the bike. If anyone is in the area and wants to take it for a test ride, just let me know. Bike starts up first kick every time. Its been purged after every ride. Chain oiled after ever ride and suspension greased before every ride. Quite a few members have seen the bike run and can attest to how hard it runs. 4mil K&T ported Cylinders Boysen Dual Stage carbon fiber reeds 35mm Billet Intakes with built-in crossover 34mm PJ carbs set up on methanol w/ K&N filters Shearer SB in-frame pipes YFZ450 Thump Throttle housing Renthal Bars Billet Bar Clamp Chrome a-arms (one a-arm is stock yamaha grey) +6 stock syle swingarm +2 axle (I don't know what brand, sorry) Billet rear hubs New rear brake setup (new master cylinder, braided steel line, new rear caliper, new pads) Bike will come with a set of 20" edge V-blade paddles & Dirt front tires. $2900. Here's a few clips of the bike running at KP against bonbon's 485 F.A.S.T Cheetah and Boostedrex's 409 drag bike. These clips show how hard the bike runs. I am 210lbs and the bike doesn't have any lightweight parts on it and the videos are done at 7200ft. If you are at a lower elevation or weigh less than I do it will run even better. http://s260.photobucket.com/albums/ii14/Wy...t=KTBanshee.flv If you want the bike shipped, shipping charges are your responsibility. I can build a crate for the bike if that's what you want and can drop it off at any local shipping outlet of your choice. I can also deliver the bike to the denver area, ft collins, CO cheyenne, WY Laramie, WY free of charge. Pretty much anywhere in the southeast wyoming / northern colorado area for free. I can deliver farther for a fee. Add paypal fee's if you choose to pay via paypal. Feel free to email me at [email protected] for more details or if you would like more detailed pictures of anything. - Jared
  11. We will see you there! I'm hoping to take off from work a little early today and head out. We should be there some time friday evening. You know where you will be camped yet rex? - Jared
  12. Oh shit... bonbon's going to be there. Watch out! I'm really hoping rick and stacie will show up too...
  13. Awesome! I won't have anything I can race you with on this trip. Just bringing 3 of the toys this go-round. The raptor, the yfz and the K&T banshee. I'll keep an eye out for you though. If you see me come say hi! I'm on a big-ass blue raptor (you will know it when you see it) and the g/f rides around on a black/red YFZ480. I might be on a little black/yellow banshee too. I camp at the far west end of the valley on the south end of the dunes. Keep an eye out for a black 1-ton dodge as well. That's bonbon from here on HQ and he rides a blue cheetah banshee. - Jared
  14. Don't waste your time with stock carbs on meth. Get a bigger carb and you will thank yourself in the end. What's your elevation? Do you have a pingel fuel valve? Drilled your gas cap yet? Depending on what your elevation is you might not want to go all the way to .120 on your mains and dumps. .120 dumps at my altitude give you a shitty signal. We go smaller, like .116. It all depends on elevation though. Also keep in mind that your mileage will get cut in half since you are flowing close to twice the amount of fuel into the engine. If you dune ride or trail ride its not very practical unless you have some sort of high volume fuel supply system like an IMS tank or remove tank. Keep in mind that you will need to purge your bike after you're done riding for the day as well. Your compression is in a good range for meth. What's yoru timing at? - Jared
  15. Yes, my 612 is that powerful. I have it in an HS Customs hillshooter frame and it will twist the frame when it gets in the power. I wouldn't want to run an engine like that in a stock chassis. You will be stressing that frame like crazy.
  16. We will be at KP the weekend of the 13th if anyone else from HQ is close to KP come out and say hi! I'll be in the meadow at the bottom of the drag racing hill just to the south of the main parking lot. White trailer, blue 1ton crew cab ford. - jared
  17. brandon does good work. If I had some stock cylinders I would gladly trade them for a set of his. Someone snag these.
  18. Am I correct to assume its a wet kit since it has a fuel pump in the pics?
  19. $1 bob.
  20. Bump Bike is still for sale. I'll have more pics and vids this weekend...
  21. For the track, go with the rippers. If you are hillshooting I'd just go with a 12 paddle extreme. 25" if you can find them. 14's hooked up too hard on the hill on my 612 twister and it wanted to wheelie all the time. - jared
  22. pick yourself up a clymer manual. You can get all the parts you will need to fix your problem through cascadeinnovations.net and go to their factory banshee parts list. - jared
