  1. That last time I was at their facility they didn't have much of anything machine-wise. I think they had a knee mill with a bolt on 2-axis cnc control in it. They were shopping out all of their machined stuff from what I understood. By the way, $500k is nothing to spend on a machine. Maybe you could get used two used HAAS or Fadal mills, but that's about it.
  2. There is a guy over at www.glamisdunes.com that does it as well. I have seen some of his stuff in person and it looks really good.
  3. The heims in the pictures above don't give any more travel than a normal heim. The neato thing about them is that they are sealed so that you might not have to replace them as much.
  4. Seat covers would be awesome.
  5. I use Maxima Gold Spray Wax. IMO it's best to use a wax when you're in the sand as it clumps and falls off durung use. The oils tend to attract grit and keep it on the chain. The oils are good for riding in muddy and wet conditions.
  6. I am not sure that I want a flaming took (sp?).
  7. Word
  8. On a lot of our lightweight, high stress engine parts, we design them to be used as part to be manufactured. Aluminum or magnesium threads just don't very long with steel fasteners.
  9. The Janssen heims are not entirely cnc machined, the bodies are still made out of a forging. Fireball doesn't exactly have much in the way of cnc equipment. I would find it hard to believe they are cnc machining much of anything.
  10. Here are some things that I know about regarding this topic: They currently do not make the joint picturedabove for the banshee. The current upgrade heims for the MX-Tech arms are made by Aurora. Now, I have a question for RNBRAD. How the hell do you get the protective boot on the heims? I could never get mine on. ::
  11. I'd definitely be interested in a hat or two.
  12. When things don't fit properly, I like to hit them with a large hammer.
  13. If you talking about the bolts on the arms that hold the weights on, then you need to make sure you have some red loctite on thos things. I have lost a couple of nuts off of them before. Trust me playing a gfame for find the nut without taking the centire clutch cover off is not fun no matter how much beer you have.
  14. Holy 6 month old thread Batman! :yelrotflmao:
  15. ^^^^^^^^^^^^word.
  16. Once upon a time there was an RD style engine used in a snowmobile. It appears that thing maybe the y-pipe off of one of those.
  17. You could trade your bong in for a crack pipe. Crack pipes are smaller, so they are easier to carry and the drug messes you up alot more I hear. It's a win-win situation.
  18. I pretty much do the exact same thing.
  19. Do a search on this. There used to be a good thread that had pictures and everything.
  20. That makes sense. I was looking at eBay and it seems that alot of the carbs for sale that have the TORS elimination kit installed do not have idle screws installed in them. It makes you wonder if all of these folks are riding around with bikes that don't idle properly.
  21. What type of engine are those carbs setup for?
  22. NYUK is a good guy. I bought some stuff from him awhile back. I am really not sure what he does, but I am sure that he does not accept Paypal.
  23. That all makes sense. It looks like I will be drilling and tapping some holes, all the while wondering what the people who do not do this were thinking when they installed a kit like this without the idol screws. I think the key piece if information I was missing was that there was an idle adjustment on the TORS. I never had them on any of my bikes, so I really don't know much about them. :ninja:
  24. That answers part of my question. Now I just need someone to answer the most important part. Will they run fin without installing the idle screws? I mean if you just unplug your TORS, your bike works properly doesn't it?
  25. Let me add some addtitional informatio to this: I already have a set of screws from a set of carbs that cracked. (A)I was wondering what the tap size was? (B)I know what the throttle screws do, I just wasn't sure if I needed them since folks seem to be running around without them. ©This setup is just something to get by until my triple is done.
